I loved this game so much even though its a loss. Once it got into the 3rd OT I was already accepting defeat cuz going 4 plus qtrs with them fuckin NFL ready dudes was gonna wear us out, but I couldnt help but smile after it was all done, because in many ways it showed that the sanctions could not stop these boys' drive to win. It was an amazing coming out and coming of age game for a heavily sanctioned group of young kids. frosh and sophs starting remember that ; ) future is bright

Do you play college ball or play in the NFL? Probably not because if you did you would know what goes down in the sport and know that every great athlete has a bunch of plays they made in college or even the pros they wish they can have back, its all about the game and growing in it. I wouldn't have supported Stanford to play for the national title because I'd rather have seen USC beat them.. But now the game is over, it's acceptable to support Stanford playing for the national title.
What I meant was I wanted USC to beat Stanford and play the role as spoiler. Even if they can't play for a bowl, I still want them to win all their games.. But since this game is already over and Stanford won, looking at a list of other teams who could potentially play for the national title, I'd prefer to watch Stanford.

Next season USC will dominate because they have 8 first time starters on offense (freshmen and sophomores) and 5 on defense. For this young team to go out there and put it to Stanford like that says alot about USC for next season. Both Kiffins coached a great game. Never seen any team defend Luck like that in the last two years (Oregons offense last year just was too much for Stanford), and with THREE questionable calls (McDonalds "targeting call", last second timeout request, Overtime holding ball placement), this game couldve gone either way, no better team won.

I'd love to hear what the refs think TJ Mac should have done on the play he got called for the personal foul on. His target was the midsection of the receiver. The receiver dropped down while TJ was in his tackling motion. There is NO WAY TJ could have stopped himself there. And even if he did, the ball was still in the air and the receiver would have had a chance to catch it. Without that flag, Stanford is in 4th and 8 in a game that USC's pass rush was tearing up the Stanford OL.

I was at this game and the crowd was ELECTRIC. I think overall USC played a GREAT game and showed they can hang with the best teams in the nation. I'm damn proud of this team and Curtis McNeal is a BEAST.

Missed pass interference call that led to a FG instead of a TD...At 1:18 the replay clearly showed USC recovered the fumble...Messing up the last play of regulation when when Robert Woods got out of bounds with one second to play...The incorrect unnecessary roughness on TJ McDonald...The wrong placement of the ball on the holding call in OT...

This game was basically handed to Stanford. That no call pass interference in the first quarter really came back to shoot us in the foot. Woods was pretty much MUGGED in the endzone by that CB, yet nobody said and it was like the refs turned a blind eye to it.

I know you're a USC fan and you mean well, but it really is THAT hard. There is a technique to holding the ball on the handoff and running up the middle, and it takes practice to get the timing down with the QB. It's amazing these guys don't fumble it more often. Besides, McNeal kept the team in this game w/ 2 TD runs and 100+ yards, so if anyone is given a "free pass" to fumble, he gets it. He's running into guys twice his size; that's not easy.

I was at this game and the crowd was ELECTRIC. I think overall USC played a GREAT game and showed they can hang with the best teams in the nation. I'm damn proud of this team and Curtis McNeal is a BEAST.

This is the most respectable loss I've ever seen. USC gave it everything they had. And the crowd support was amazing! It should be like that for every game!
I hope Barkley, Kalil, McDonald, and Perry all return next season. We are seeing USC position itself as a force to be reckoned with again, and you can't help but support these guys even more for having to lead the team thru sanctions when it's not their fault.
The pieces are in place for next season to be USC's best team since 2008.

@CaliforniasGold i heard that matt barkley might leave after this year, since he said he would leave if he had a stellar year, which i think everyone knows hes having. i would love him to stay, since its been a while since a qb stayed all 4 years at SC. with him they are a national title contender next year

The fucking refs gave this game to Stanford. Missed pass interference call that led to a FG instead of a TD...At 1:18 the replay clearly showed USC recovered the fumble...Messing up the last play of regulation when when Robert Woods got out of bounds with one second to play...The incorrect unnecessary roughness on TJ McDonald...The wrong placement of the ball on the holding call in OT...

I so proud of my guys at SC we lost but we can't say it was for a lack of effort they just out lasted us in the end. I hope Barkley and Kalil Comeback so we take the Pac 12 back next year.

This game was basically handed to Stanford. That no call pass interference in the first quarter really came back to shoot us in the foot. Woods was pretty much MUGGED in the endzone by that CB, yet nobody said and it was like the refs turned a blind eye to it.
I'm glad my beloved Trojans put up one hell of a fight, but I really fell like mid week, the Pac 12 is going to issue some kind of "Whoops.. my bad" statement.

I know you're a USC fan and you mean well, but it really is THAT hard. There is a technique to holding the ball on the handoff and running up the middle, and it takes practice to get the timing down with the QB. It's amazing these guys don't fumble it more often. Besides, McNeal kept the team in this game w/ 2 TD runs and 100+ yards, so if anyone is given a "free pass" to fumble, he gets it. He's running into guys twice his size; that's not easy.

Not making any excuses but the bs SC has to put up on the constant basis is ridiculous.Last year vs Stanford the clock kept stopping this year it's the other way around.Regardless of the outcome I'm proud of our guys, we left it all on the field today when nobody ever gave us a chance.Say what you will SC is back and I'll just leave it at that.

TJ McDonald penalty was bullshit and gave Stanford a 1st and they tied us Bullshit man. 2 me Robert Woods was outtabounce with 1sec and Kiffin called a Timeout. I didnt think robert Knee hit.
