Avril or somebody in her camp lifted the chorus hook. Hooks are lifted every day. It's no big deal. The Rubinos saw a chance to create some attention for themselves. It's very close, but not lawsuit material. It's very embarrassing for Avril, though, because it is an obvious steal.

no se parecen en nada , solo en el "hey hey you you " porke en la de los rubinos dice : i wanna be your boyfriend , y en la de avril (la mejor xD) dice : i want to be your girlfriend . Segun mi opinion , es una coincidencia porque tampoko es tan raro una cancion ke en el estribillo diga : hey hey you you y boyfriend. asi ke : ¡¡¡¡ VIVA AVRIL !!!!!!!

the first time i heard this song i knew i heard it before. I'm 43 amd have the Rubinoos 1979 album. Only the chorus may be the same..but that what makes the song a hit!
