  • he is just beautiful.

  • "leave me alone!" my reaction: uhhh how cute :33333

  • Holy shit! HE IS AMAZING!

  • Oh wow! James and Richard in one film <3

  • Love this film <3 James Mcavoy is such a great actor too. <3

  • Great acting on his part, but I don't like the way they've changed the play.

  • thank you shakespear <.< .... and the people who raped the play -.-

  • hhhhhhhrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Beautifully acted and retold

  • what was this actual movie called?

  • @Kyzora "Shakespeare Retold - Macbeth" BBC series of Shakepheres plays retold in a modern setting.

  • James McAvoy in leather pants!!!

    *cough*

I mean, from his lunge across the table to his labored breathing as he's delivering his lines, he has that ability to ratchet a scene up a notch. He invests so completely. And that's really saying something in a room filled with such tremendously talented actors.

  • Completely disagree.

    It was brilliant.

  • WOW

    IS TALENT 100%=)

  • that scene has toby kebbel and joseph millson in it too! unbelievable room of talent. comeon!

  • I Love This Film So Much..

I Have It On Dvd And Watch It All The Time :L

  • Richard Armitage and James McAvoy in the same scene? *swoons* anyway....James is great!

  • he's an AMAZING actor

  • This is a purfect example as to why you never kill someone!!

    nice leather Mcavoy!!!!

  • he's such a good actor and good looking too..hehe

  • This is a...um, interesting adaptation of Macbeth. A little far deviated, but interesting and creative nonetheless.

James is really a very brilliant actor, he brings the story to life. Very intense, very talented.

  • my favourite performance from him to date

  • Would be intersting to see him play Macbeth. This is not Macbeth. Or perhaps they should have called it "Shakespeare re-told for people too stupid to get the original"

  • Absolutely. I would love seeing him play a real Macbeth. There are moments that overlap where you can use your imagination though. Mcavoy is just wonderful. What school did he go to in Glasgow?

  • Now Willshakespeare2007, don't be so harsh on this. This is just a free adaptation for Macbeth. I think it's cool that these kinds of things are made. I have of course read the play (who hasn't btw) but this is a good way of keeping Shakespeare's work alive. And many teachers in the UK are using this series to make school projects as well, so I think it's a good thing. I agree, it's not the Macbeth we are used to, but c'mon man... give it a break...

  • Well I was a little harsh I confess. it good to see Shakespeare inspiring other work. But Shakepseare is about the language it is poetry. If you remove Shakepseare's language it is not Shakespeare. If you remove the music and lyrics from a song it is no longer that song. He has sold 4 billion books compared to jk rowlings 400 million so there are people would like to see the BBC do the original more.

  • Such a brilliant adaptation.

  • i love james to death!

    his acting,his looks,his personality..

  • Es un actor realmente bueno!!

  • Wow! oh my god James McAvoy is such an AMAZING actor!!!!!!

  • When he cries it brings tears to my eyes!!!!!!!! He is a great actor.

  • STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!!! whew, that was intense!

  • whenever he cries... It makes me wanna cry...

  • this is how you tell a great actor: he could convey emotion through his breathings. that is what McAvoy did. he's a wonderful-wonderful Macbeth!

  • 1:01 when we were watching it in class we all broke out in tears when it froze here.

    funniest english class ever. "yeh?"

  • im watching this in skl, we're learnin bowt macbeth n itz a great film

  • his inability to form words at 1:53 actually brings me to tears

  • he's bloody great as Macbeth, and the BBC's is a great midern interpretation of the play!

  • i want to see the whole movie!

  • I NEED TO SEE THIS!!! cant find it anywere. please upload the whole thing.

  • Jame McAvoy in MACBETH...pure genius!!!!

  • i dont get this, im comparing it to the real macbeth, and is the guy whose ghost James is seeing banquo?

  • yeah, but they seem to have changed the names....like macbeth is "joe"...but yeah thats definetly banquo; its the only gost he ver sees! and the diner scene!

  • but i dont get it.. what is the cellphone represent from the real macbeth?

  • o.O

  • who said it had to repersent anything? it's just the witches dipshit

  • Oh he's noticed alright! Everybody is swooned by his versatility now..Myself included!!

  • James just officially won my heart right there. I hate that mainstream hasn't noticed he's brilliant. they're too busy manufacturing their clones...

  • James McAvoy is so brilliant in just this clip!! Anyone have the whole thing available??

  • I love how James McAvoy is so DIVERSE!! Like, he doesn't shy away from any roles it seems. You know, some A-list actors only do the really macho, manly, kick-ass kinds of roles. But seriously, McAvoy can pull off anything. I can do vulnerable/drama to nerdy/awkward/comedic to macho/prince charming

THAT'S what makes a great actor. RESPECT!!!

  • When "Wanted" comes out this summer with Angelina Jolie, EVERYONE will realize what a versatile actor James is. It's his macho kick-ass role that will let the rest of America notice his talent. He's so brilliant!

  • Haha, I know.. I think he's done every sort of movie possible.. Oh yeah and he's coming out with a gangster movie Perrier's Bounty :)

  • Acting just does not get any better than this.

  • brilliant acting by james

  • he's brilliant at the intensity of macbeth but lady macbeth leaves much to be desired...

  • You gotta love that insane dive over the table.

  • amazing actor :)

  • "Why can't you see what I see? Why can't you feel what I feel?"

Because she doesn't have a conscience. I just adore James in this clip. He's brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

  • sad :(

  • YAY! Richard Armitage and James McAvoy with his sexy scottish accent. Clearly HAVE to see this.

  • James McAvoy is such an amazing actor. Do you have all of this "episode" or whatever this is??

  • My goodness so many good looking men!! I need to see this movie!

  • I would love to see this. Anybody know if it'll be on BBCA anytime soon?

  • i dont know it was made for bbc in uk like 3 years ago ,all of them were fantastic . try online :)

  • Man, this clip confirms it for me. James McAvoy's talent surpasses more than half of the A-listers in Hollywood.

  • Amen.

  • I don't know if it's out on DVD;but, when BBC America showed it,I taped the show. All because of my adoration for Keeley Hawes! And now, James McAvoy.

  • yeahh,

it is with all the other shakespeare re-told series

    eg. much ado

    taming of the shrew :]

  • When he says, "Ella.." my heart just melts!

  • wow, he's so good! but why is he acting like that? haven't seen the movie...need some insight.

  • it's the story of Macbeth by Shakespeare where he (James) killed the guy who was in the seat with the bloody Tshirt and the guilt just drives him mad.

  • yeah, james is a good, nay, great actor - he should try a real macbeth sometime, and see hpw that suits him

  • i love james mcavoy. he is soo talented. aah. love him!

  • I was in this.James is great

  • Hmm, I can see the correlation between this and the original MacBeth...interesting.

  • ouah !

  • the greatness that is the mcavoy

  • sorry to lower the tone but he looks well sexy in those pants!
