  • ppl should listen or search the world wide web, i heard about this cd back when it came out but never heard nuttin from it til now and to the guy whose sayin bout his son... i am a freckled faced lyricist, some ppl have a lack of vocab or just use certain words to express their pov and others will realize that, and if not then they cant comphrend.

  • Methinks this song is about heroin.

  • De La Soul is lyricism.

  • damn race issue really in 2012 com on its music

  • God I love this song!

  • I would nut in my pants if they got back together for another album. I think I might even have a seizure if something this amazing was ever played on the radio.

  • WOW this song is all for me! thanks!

  • i start listening to this because i heard another track by these guys that i liked, with my 9 year old son in the other room, trying to expose my kid to various types of music that i enjoy and .... how the hell do i deal with him hearing the word nigger but he shouldn't say it himself cause he's a freckled face white boy. i don't know how to explain to him that it's apparently ok for some people to say it, but not others. seriously why does anyone need to use that word?

  • @dinasoar29

Wow that indeed is a difficult situation. Never thought about it like that. Sadly I can't help you, good luck anyway!

  • @dinasoar29 May I introduce you to instrumental hiphop?

Check out artists like Nujabes, Kondor, Blazo, ShinSight Trio, etc!

Look up a guy's channel called "Bob42jh" He shall guide you the way!

  • @dinasoar29 i say if black people have become so ignorant to the point that they willingly choose to associate themselves with a word that generates only hate and prejudice...then they deserve the name. 99% of black people think it's cool to be illiterate and un-educated and make the 1% that actually try to better themselves and their communities look stupid....that's how I'd explain it haha

  • @Tryandtakemyguns11 99%? Really? That's an extremely dangerous and ignorant generalization. This comment only perpetuates the 'hate and prejudice' that you claim to speak against.

  • @Tryandtakemyguns11

Haha, I actually laughed out loud at how stupid this comment is. First of you make retarded assumptions about an entire race then you talk about how stupid they are when you can't even use basic punctuation. Please do the world a favor and shut the fuck up you stupid kid xD

  • @dinasoar29 It doesn't matter that you simply say 'nigger', however your meaning behind it is what matters. Of course I (being a while 20 year old) wouldn't walk up to some random dark skinned person and start throwing around 'nigger/a', but my black friends have not the slightest issue with me saying it as they know I'm not talking about lynching, hate, or anything silly like that when I say it.

  • @dinasoar29 by the time hes an adult it wont be such a taboo word. hopefully people will be smarter in the future and wont care about the sounds the word makes but instead the feeling behind. Hip-Hop holds a lot of anti-censorship ideals because most of the time they are a generation which has been censored from history. don't let it continue

  • @dinasoar29 if you want to explain the tragedy of the use of the N word in popular music . . . start with Abolition and work your way forward . . .

  • @dinasoar29 just say it anyways. if they say it you should be able to, otherwise they can stfu if they don't like it. that's not equality when some people can do something and others cannot. if they don't want to be called nigger they can stop calling themselves nigger and maybe white people will follow suit lol

  • @dinasoar29 j dilla, and madlib have beautiful old school hip hop instrumentals

  • holy shit this is the shit fuck lil wayne fuck new boyz fuck rick ross , its all bout hbms and all old school , or real new school rap

  • =

  • @osiristheog Agreed.

  • @DJJohndice

It is populary dead which is a good thing. the shit I see on mtv and hear on the airwaves is not hip hop.

  • @osiristheog

Well as long as real hip hop doesn't go mainstream we're all good:)

because i'm sure we all know that when underground crawls up to the surface it turns to shit!

  • @KianAnufrijevas Black Eyed Peas, Kanye, BoB, Crooked I, you name it! It does turn to shit.

  • @DJJohndice K'Naan!!!

  • @DJJohndice Wiz Khalifa's shit he dropped in 2006 was ill, but his shit he dropped recently was not too hot :/

  • @DJJohndice I DISAGREE.

I love change. And shit would get boring if nothing changed, get it?

Haha it's chill but let's not be narrow minded. Honestly though, HBMS is like my favorite band, but I listen to anything. So yeah.

  • @KianAnufrijevas

Lol. Did e.g. Tribe turn shit? I hate this self-righteous bullshit.

  • @KianAnufrijevas

True true, money doesn't mix with music.
