of course it's real . the agent guy who jumps is a stunt man. not everything is a stunt , for example when he double jumps it's fake. but him getting out of the police car and standing on it while it's driving, that's a 100 percent real. and cool :))

@maxdaring This seqeunce was filmed on a closed freeway set on the former Alameda Naval Air Station in Alameda, CA in the SF Bay Area. It was all built up on of the former landing strips on the base. If you look closely, there are some non-cgi shots of San Francisco in the background. If you look up the base on Google Earth you can still see a slight outline of the freeway set. The Discover Channel's Mythbusters also use this same location for some of there tests for their show.

how about you go do some research? there wasn't a highway anywhere that they could "borrow" that looked anything like what they needed, so they built the stretch of road long enough for the scene they were doing.

Okay, this is a great chase scene, but MOVIE SCREW-UP TIME @ 2:24. Wow! I didn't realize the Oldsmobile Aurora came standard with a roll cage! And where's the driver? Heh. All that CGI, and no one in the editing room noticed the obvious bars of the cage in the close up shot? I even watched the making of this scene on the DVD and this flub is never mentioned. I wonder if they re-watch it today and go DOH!

It's kind of interesting how the best scene in all three Matrix films barely involves Neo at all. Amazing three-sided chase scene followed by Morpheus vs. Twins, then capped off with Trinity and Morpheus vs. an agent on colliding semi-trucks.

BRILLIANT and ASTUTE observation. Neo was always trhe worst thing about all the action scenes in Matrix. Keanu just didn't ave the chops to pull this kind of action off. Fishburne and Moss were dead on though. There sequences are the highlights of all 3 films by FAR.
