One of the most fundamentally ridiculous films of all time- it's more of a comedy than anything else- the "macho", dubbed dialogue, the posturing, not to mention the lovely knife fighting scene when they dance with each other.
This film fueled many fantasies for many years. My favourite sailor by far, better than Gene, better than Frank and way better than that guy in The Vilage People.
