  • COOL..

  • I dont get it. whos eating horeses?

  • Nothing wrong with having a few horses on the police force in any town.

  • Nothing at all! If you know anything, you know they're the best thing in the world for PR on the friendly side and crowd control on the serious business side. The mounted police get to see things up close and personal better than anyone in a zone car, they can outmanouever them, too. Show me the stupid Segway that can take a fence. (Didn't think so.) Side benefit, these guys get rehomed. Everyone wins, or at least won.

  • I'm a Hoboken taxpayer and I resent supporting this unnecessary expenditure. I've lived in the city for 24 years and I've never seen the mounted police perform any necessary function. I respect that these gentlemen are genuinely concerned about the welfare of the horses, but the horses are unnecessary in the City of Hoboken.

  • What do you know about police work and the use of mounted units in law enforcement? Nothing I bet. Go take the train into NYC, the city you couldn't afford to live in.

  • Hoboken no longer has the mounted police, so you don't need to worry. They bought those 3-wheeled segways instead.

  • Stupid. You may never have seen the water/sewer authority in your area perform any necessary function, but that doesn't mean they aren't doing valuable work.

  • I do see them. Long live AQUAMAN!

  • Huh, propaganda trying to make the mounted police seem like nice people.
