The ps3 is better cos, its faster, more pawerful and more reliable than the 360. and the trophies wear not copyed cos you can't copy ideas, so all you 360 noobs can shut the fuck up and get a life.

The 360 is ok cos the online play is more advanced, well thats the onley advantage.

part 5. considering the hardware, features, and content you get with the ps3 (Home, Skype, web browser, PS3 updates, free online, web browser, built-in radio, Play Tv, soon universal chat, video creation and sharing, etc) compared to the 360 to try to remotely match what the ps3 can offer, the ps3's price tag is a steal and hell of a lot better than the 360 to equate the functionality.

it depends on which HDMI cables you pay for, mainly the length. believe it or not, there are some that cost well over 200 bucks. i saw one the other day online that cost about 380 bucks. do a google search for HDMI cables and you will see what i mean.

I agree with the price poon,it is alot but in the end it is worth it in a way.Sony updates us 2-3 a month and the online is great and it does survive,Micorsoft is a company that is good at making software,not hardware,thats sony and nintendo's department.Xbox does have some decent exclusives like GOW but so do we,our exclusive are still being made like Resistance 2 or Final Fantasy.Xbox is great but its a cheap console tha breaks easily,sorry.The downfall for the ps3 is that its too heavy

when i got it, it was only $1oo more and 360 doesnt come with half of what ps3 does. mgs4 ign-10/10 gamespot-10/1o 10/10 everywhere and if u ask any1 hu has played, they will say its really good, even if they dont own ps3. gears of war 2 look good, but itll probably go 2 pc later like 1st one, so not really "exclusive" if u think about it. ps3 has more than double 360's power (fact) and 360 has more exclusives for now. ps3 - 150+ exclusives confirmed coming

i won't say anything about games because those are personal preferences (however, i would take MGS over Gears anyday, Hideo is a genius) but i'm afraid you got the hardware specs off by a little bit. the ps3's CPU is an 8 core(7 unlocked, 1 locked) 3.2 Ghz cellbroadband microprocessor, performance of 1.8 TFLOP, GPU is a NVIDIA RSX running at 550 Mhz with only 24 pipelines, 5.7 Shader Operations Per second, and both CPU/GPU have a total of 146.8 SOPS. part 1

part 2, the 360 on the hand, has a 3 core Xenon CPU (3.2 Ghz), performance of 1 TFLOP, ATI GPU runs at 500 Mhz, 48 pipelines (twice as many as the ps3!), only 2 Shader operations per second, and overall total of 96 SOPS compared to the PS3's 146.8. back to the TFLOPS,the PS3 performs 800,000,000,000 more FLOPS than the X-Box 360. also, ps3 max resolution can go to 1080p while 360 goes to 1080i.

part 3. hardware wise, that should tell you that the ps3's graphic engine isn't only an "inch" better than the 360. but to make matters worse, the blu-ray functionality doesn't only support high quality sound/video, but the extra space allows more data filing compression. in other words, the more space, the more data can be implemented into certain elements of a game, which can range from shadowing and lighting, pixels, audio, etc etc. the more space allows better integrated graphics.

part 4. remember when i said the more space, the more data can be used? well may i remind you that currently blu ray optical discs can hold up to 50 gigs of data and soon Hitachi is releasing a 100 gig DL disc and a ps3 update will help allow the playability of the disc. remember, bitrate of files are properly sorted out and optimized to only audio/video synchronization, thus resulting in a high quality video and the more space, the more the merrier.

no it is not! it's a completely different type of an optical disc. DVD, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM use a red laser to read and write data while blu-ray uses a blue-violet laser instead. blu-ray is a completely new and original type of format, far superior compared CD or DVD. however, blu-ray isn't the best. there is new type of disc called HVD (Holographic versatile disc) which holds 3.9 terabytes (almost 4,000 gigs) and PCD (Protein coated disc) which can hold 50 terabytes.

THE UPDATE HAS BEEN PULLED! The new update 2.4 has officially been pulled and you can't download it anymore. There was a hardware problem when people downloaded the update. The problem is kind of like the RRoD of the Xbox. Only it's a hardrive problem I think.

The PS3 has the actually processing power to do the folding at home, while the 360 doesn't that's the only reason. Before someone attacks me for saying that it just doesn't seem like that in games because it's apparently incredibly difficult to actually program for the playstation and get all of the power out of it.

i agree. the ps3's CPU power is a lot higher than the 360's and can operate a lot more functions at one time. there are actually a lot of things the 360 couldn't handle that the ps3 could due to it's higher processing power. however, the thing that made the ps3 hard to program for was the cellbroadband's microprocessor asymmetry programming style. developers in the early stages weren't use to the programming for the ps3 but recently have been doing a lot better through experience.
