  • Great machine!Always wanted this model!

    Sal

  • I've currently got my model 725 listed on Ebay for $15 plus $40 for shipping fees. It's all original and runs great. Sale ends in less than a week so sooner is better than later. Just do a search for Hoover 725 as I believe it's the only one currently on the market.

  • those scratches could get buffed out

  • OMG, Im soooo jealous! Its stunning and the sound is sooooo soothing too!

  • can i buy it???

  • who collects vacuum cleaners ? ? ?

  • @writefromwithin Lots of people do. I do not however, I have this one and have gotten rid of the other 2 I had.

  • do you still have that hoover 61 for sale by any chance? if so how much are you asking for it?

    thank you very much.

  • Hi I was just wondering if this model came with a handi sac? How did you get a type C disposible bag to fit? Also did the older hoovers like this have a bellows and filltube?

  • Yes, it did. A size "W" IIRC. I just removed a couple of the staples from a "C" bag to make it fit the larger tube so I can save the W bag. Yes, the older Hoovers have a bellows and fill-tube. Thanks for your interest.

  • Thanks for your help i am looking for an original bag for a hoover model 63 which I have that is all I need to complete it cause I have the attachments and the original manual for my vac which is in great conditon for the age

  • You're welcome, glad I could help. I'll let you know if I run across that bag.

  • Thanks again like I said it has been really hard for me to find the original blue outer bag with bellows and fill tube. I have a cousin looking for it in PA in the antique shops and I am also looking on ebay to.

  • These machines were made to last! I have a Dansette "Conquest" record player that I still use, it's been in our family for over 40 years.

  • I love your RCA Color TV set from the 1950s. Do you collect antique TV's too. I collect them and have the famed 1939 RCA TRK-12 Television Console.

  • @BJSTV Thanks, That's a '65 Admiral in the background of this video. I do have several '50s RCA color sets however. And yes, I collect tvs but not vacuums too much, only the couple in the videos I put up. I'd love to see that TRK-12!

  • im so jealous

  • $300 and she's yours with all attachments and what's left of the original box. Paperwork is all there. Seriously.

  • ya i no exactly how you feel, there was house that was being renovated big time in a horrible part of town, so that is usaully where the good stuff is, and there was piles of tons of old junk, and i love junk lol

  • where did u get it?

  • I found it in a dumpster by a house about to be torn down, had I known of the stuff that was in there that was put by the road and picked up I would have broke in and grabbed all of it. A neighbor said I missed a ton of '50s furniture and tvs and everything in between. My spidy senses were always tingling when I was by that house, they were right.

  • wow awesome vacuum! I wish I could find one like that just layin in a dumpster

  • I love the Hoovers from the 40's, they were so solid and ran so well.

  • Since you got this original, did it have a original paper bag in it? This machine if you didnt know took a paper bag that was reusealbe and it had a metal clip at the top to close it, I only have a few of these bags left in my collection, I mean the original papaer bag, but I do not have my machine any longer.

  • I have a size "W" bag that is original and untorn. I just don't use it because I don't want to ruin it. I have over a hundred size "C" bags so I just use those.

  • Very nice, excellent example! And yes, it is quieter than later medels.

  • Awsome. I seen a model 61 at a thrift shop and it's been there for at least 4 years! I checked on it today and yep still there. I'm waiting for her to lower her price before I snatch it.

  • Now this one ... the type W bags are no longer available.

Ugh! Out of a Dumpster! That's fabulous!

Ooh--a fellow Wisconsinite! I used to live in Milwaukee.

That's a wonderful machine, too. They made them from 1946-1950. And yes, the letters are brass.
