  • And in The Sun newspaper the next morning the headline above the photograph read "THE IGNITED COLOURS OF BENNETON"..somebody deserves a handshake for that.

  • this is definitely Jos Verstappen, schumacher had a fire in the same year- on the same team, but much smaller, not as bad as this one... @MrShawnsquatch and @2evilclown

  • thts Jos Verstappen..

if anyone in a doubt tht he is Schumi, thn jus read the ful article in benetton's official site... :)

  • This is Michael Schumacher, and the gas sprayed because the crew had removed a filter in the fuel hose to try to get fuel into the car faster.

  • @MrShawnsquatch This is Jos Verstappen.

  • It was michael schumacher and nothing happends because of the suits. watch the helmet of the driver its definitely schumacher

  • @2evilclown This is Jos Verstappen.

  • yeah thank god for the fireproof suits. look at the driver, he weaves the team away although then they cant try to get him out. man thats a horrible accident but thanks for the suits :D

  • that was because they removed the fuel filter.. or at least this incident led to that particular investigation

  • Actualy: it's his birthday today!

and Jos Verstappen tested a Porsche RS Spyder at Paul Ricard for the past 2 days :-)

  • did he die?

  • No he was helped out by one of the pit crew only a few seconds later. He only suffered minor burns to his face. Thank god for fire proof suits.

  • JOSS THE BOSS, onze BOSS

  • I think his burns is still visible.

  • Thats amazing

  • pech gehabt

  • Wow the fuel sprayed out.

  • During a pitstop in the GP of Germany at the Hockenheimring, gasoline was spilt onto heated car parts, setting the car, with Verstappen in it, ablaze for a brief period. As was usual at the time the visor of his helmet was open, and he walked away with slight burns to his nose. Since then drivers have kept their visors closed during refueling stops.-wiki

    thank fck he was ok

  • If you watch again his visor is clearly down when the flames rip through the car.

  • I saw the fuel spilling.

  • Hey it might off been a cold day that fire may have warmed them up?

  • BLOODY HELL!!!
