It goes a lot easier to get the lower control arm hole over the ball joint stud and start the nut (new!) if you keep the spring compressed with the spring compressor in place when you put the strut back in.
Put all the nuts on loosely before you tighten anything up. A lot easier to line things up that way.
@ChgoSTrider I am having one heck of a time on drivers side. I changed ball joint and can't get it back into control arm. I push it all the way down and I still am over an inch for the ball joint to go up. Will your comment work. I took strut out to reverse engineer it, but that will not work. Will compressing the spring and then putting everything back together, then releasing the compressors work? I had to use a jack push up on rotor to take it apart. but.....
@ChgoSTrider I can't use jack again, because the rotor and spindle pull away from the car. Any info would be appreciated. please respond to my email supermanismyhero@hotmail.com thanks 09/29/2001...
You didn't show how you put strut back through spindle after you mounted the strut at the top. I have looked and looked, no video.
