  • only thing missing from this video is the ending of what it would sounds like after.

  • thank you, you should be a teacher ;)

  • so how do I unmap a file once I've mapped it?

  • @writesprotected double click the track so it opens at the bottom then click on the track and it has a drop down menu to switch between beat mapper loop or one shot at any time

  • @AngelEnemy666 i either don't understand what you mean, or I didn't explain my problem very well. I beatmapped a song wrong. (beginning is slower than the end) when I open the song in any other project, it no longer asks if I want to open it in the beatmapper wizard. Is there a way I can make the beatmapped info disappear from the file, so that acid will prompt me to open in the beatmapper again? thank you

  • @writesprotected im wondering the same thing

  • @writesprotected hey i just figured it out lmfao. This is how you do it. Right click on track in the mixing window the one below you know what i mean right. select properties then double click on the music file then click on the tab stretch then click on beatmapper. there you go

  • @flipinfin thank you very much :)

  • @writesprotected delete the .sfl file assciated with the track you are attempting to beatmap. all the information is stored there.

  • @AngelEnemy666 OR just redo it yeah by manually resetting the downbeat in the menu like your found

  • how will you beat match 120 bpm and 125 bpm?

  • how do i open it pls hellpppp mine doesent come automatically

  • how do you launch beatmapper if it does not auto launch.

  • @BillyCauseyjr This might not work depending on what version you have, but under the options menu click preferences. A window should appear called preferences and make sure you're under the general tab. Check "Automatically start the Beatmapper for long files".

  • he is gayy

  • What do you do with a song that has two different BPMs? That starts slow and gets faster?

  • @UnWarierMage

    I have the same problem

  • @UnWarierMage actually you can also set the bpm for each track individually and can change it at any time during the mix on any line so basically you could in theory time to songs together that change bpm every 2 seconds just hit your "t" key to drop a tempo change marker.

  • not in real time tho of course

  • the video was very helpful, some of what took me to understand for a couple of years since '07 when I first started using this program and some that helped me better to understand. And yes, it is an issue that I dealt with where you pick the 4 beat forgetting about the tempo for the rest of the track. So thanks !!! I liked the shout outs to Jonathon lol. Practice-N-Enjoy ! nice.

  • @prammaven yeah, wtf, it's pissing me off.

  • How do you edit an already beat mapped track when you discover a small part of it has an error you need to fix? Ideas, anyone? I'm new to Acid, so it may seem like a silly question, but then I am a noob :-)

  • Great Tutorial! Nice way to explain the way it works!

  • Excellent tutorial on the Beatmapper; thank you :)

  • Audacity is better for original old fashioned recordings.

    Its free too.

You cut the part- lining up with bars at top and go to effects/ fade in or out selecting a small selection at end or start.

Change the tempo to 120 but dont change it too much or whatever and save selection as wav.

  • thanks a lot man

    this was an excellent explanation

    !

  • That's nice, mate... works pretty well for dance beats, not so well for ye olde-fashioned songs. Your advice is just leave them, and know that it gets messy later? I can't really seem to get beatmapper to work past 8 beats on some tracks... maybe start the 1st downbeat in the section of the song I want to loop?

  • nice one. really good explanation. got some the idea of beat mapper

  • one of the most helpful videos on youtube. Thanks alot!

  • 5 stars mark. perfect explanation

  • your previous video does not work

    do not click on it

  • I think I'm the only person who works without the metronome!

On the third step, (6:47) I grab the measure count and drag it back and forth. If it looks like the sound waves aren't moving, it's a PERFECT beat map. If they move, I adjust accordingly.

Check my mixes out to see what I mean.

  • dont worry, you aint the only one.

  • Awesome! Thanks!!

  • Thank you. Wish me luck! lol

  • beat mappin is a waste of time and is wrong way to remix, in my opinion.

the best way to judge the tempo of pella in order to mix, is to simply use yr ears.

  • top notch helped alot cheers!!!!!!if you put 2 samples into acid ie:a beat and a vocal how doyou get them to match bpm!!!!LAmbocarz

  • Really great explaination of a part of Acid I was always a bit fuzzy on! Great job - 5 stars.
