  • Hey Guys!!! Im giving away a beta key on my channel aswell. come check it out

  • Comeon Zooc, hook me up with a beta key.

  • Dat skill tree(my answer)

  • So who won the keys?

  • In my opinion the best aspect of this game is it's dark theme and the option to level up your skill and store it and then level up another skill, seems great.

The 3 best things that Diablo had in my opinion were:

    •Dark looking style of game.

•Item system that made you want to collect all items in the freaking game.

•Skills looked amazing and (on diablo 2) the skill tree was pretty awesome too..

And so far from what i've seen from PoE the only thing im not certain of is the item system. So cheer

  • To answer the first part of your question, My favorite aspect is the skill system in this game. It is truly massive in scope. I love they way they have designed a skill system that encourages players to build unique characters.

The main thing I would like to see from Diablo is a compelling story line. Hack and slash only go so far. But a good story makes it memorable and timeless. I hope to still want to play this game for years to come... just like Diablo.

  • My favorite aspect of the game by far is the active and passive skill system. The active skill system is very similar to FF7, which is one of my most favorite RPG skill systems of all time and I am super excited to mess around with support gems and modify my skills. The passive skill tree is massive and will allow for true customization and interesting specs, also reminds me of FFX. I would like to see PoE not have all the cookie cutter builds from Diablo 2.

  • My favorite aspect of the game so far is the different leagues that are coming, The hardcore style from Diablo 2. What I would like to see us the other leagues that Diablo 2 doesn't have being popular. Like the league that limits consumable use and short duration leagues that kick the lowest level off every 15 minutes. Sounds really fun and challenging!

  • My favorite part of the game is the vast amount of possibilities one has when building their characters due to the vast Skill System, and ability to wear just about any gear as long as their stats fit the requirements. This system gives players the ability to be a hybrid of just about anything they want to be, and that freedom I have is what truly makes me want to play this game. No game other than this can compete with the sheer amount of freedom players are given in building their characters!

  • I really like the combination of how skills and armor go together. The idea of putting skills in armor slots is very unique and I think it works out quiet well. As for things related to D, I didn't play it much but I would say more of a reason to pick up all the 'trash' that drops. I'm not interested in currency, but more of a way to use them to maybe upgrade other items.

As for things related to D, I didn't play it much but I would say more of a reason to pick up all the 'trash' that drops. I don't want currency exactly (as I also like the way they do that) but maybe a way to combine items or break them apart to upgrade other items. I'm one of those players that doesn't like to leave anything behind

  • By far my favorite aspect of the game is the general gameplay but more specifically the cosmetics of the gameplay. The environment, creatures, character, skills, and the interface simply leaves me in awe. I hope the devs will continue to develop more areas, different terrain, different environmental conditions, etc. This not only leaves me in awe but also inspires me to play even more. Please give me the chance to witness it first hand...

  • From what I can tell, my favorite aspect of the game will simply be the depth in which you will be able to develop your character. There are so many possibilities, so many ways to develop it, take it down various paths in building his skills , both active and passive. My hope is that I will be able to spend hours researching, developing, and figuring out the perfect skills that will suit my liking completely. I hope to see even more skills. Please give me the chance to give back and to play.

  • My favorite aspect is the new thinking with spell gems that evry class can use them for example: A Ranger can summon Zombies to Fight for her in melee. Or as a Templar you can go Heavy Int/magic, but with good armor and shield. I want better Endgame Content Then Diablo 2. i know me and alot of other Diablo2 fans did do Baal runs and before that Diablo runs. i would like to see more and better end game countent, both PVP and PVE but Mostly PVE, If GGG could Fix that this game will be amazing.

  • I like the way you can make items have the stats you want. If you have the stuff. And something i would like to see is traps or something like the assassin has.

  • I am really in love with the huge skill tree in all its confusing glory. I have really high hopes for this game.

  • The skill system is amazing! Been lurking the forums forever trying to get a key. Make me happy. :D

  • I AM RETARDED COMMENT, I LIKE BIG SKILL TREE...

  • My favorite thing so far is the interesting skills, such as lightning nova dealing more damage at the furthest point, and ice spear penetrating close enemies and bursting on far enemies. These are some of the most interesting skills I have seen in this type of game.

One thing I would like the game to have similar to Diablo is a synergy style system that rewards players for having a strong theme to their character, but without making characters with more variety unplayable like in Diablo 2.

  • The versatility in the game seems very intriguing. The fact that there are "unlisted" quests that a completionist like me can search for and it looks like the skills (if they are balanced) will make for some very different play styles (and I'm one for being completely off the wall with my play styles...) I also really like the darker undertones of the game, and it doesn't seem completely isolated like diablo always felt to me...

  • I want it to be a game like diablo, but not diablo exactly. I can already dsee it differentiates slighlty in the talent trees, but i would really like to see the end game content and see how different the enemies and enviroments are

  • just as everyone before me mentioned , the skill tree ( forest ) is really a gret future where every player will be abit different and the combat wont be as monotnue as in the other typical hack n slashes . The actual game seems very simmilar to Titan Quest which was one of my favourite games and the fact that Path of Exile is online makes it that much better then TQ . I never really played diablo so i cant compare them but it seems like PoE is alot darker and grimmer .

  • I love the massive skill trees too.. Also the very fact it dares to start a fight with diablo 3 on the way ensures the game will have to be topnotch.

  • Personally i LOVE the passive tree. Reminds me of Final Fantasy X. That skill tree gives whole new aspect to the game. In D2 there was just couple of ways for you to make your charachter. In PoE you can do whatever you want.

  • i play on a 32 inch tv and i bet other people play on bigger screens

  • I like the dark, gritty, graphical style, and the down-to-earth style of combat, as compared to Torchlight (not bad, by any means) and D3, which is actually quite disappointing. I love how you can literally use any weapon, no matter what class you are, and the skill system is beautiful.

Would absolutely love a key, but congratulations to whoever gets them!

  • i love the graphics style and i think it should have a better end game compared to diablo

  • I like the original setting, good storyline and fab game play style :)

  • This game remember me of Titan Quest game or Diablo :D

    sorry for bad english :D

  • It's a small thing, but my favourite aspect is the flasks. The passive and active skills are great, and that they hark back to ffx and ffxvii systems is by no means a black mark, but the flasks being able to recharge and even have magical enchantments seems unprecedented to me and is a great solution to diablo's annoying, abusable mechanic.

I would like to see leagues used to support a greater diversity of gameplay than is available in diablo, like capture the flag modes or mafia/werewolf

  • What I like the most about the game is that the developers have made a really good game which is free to play and they obviously spent and are spending a lot of time and efforts. the idea of a passive skill tree and active skill gems is something that is new and exciting to me. I would love to have beta access and contribute to the development and progress of the game. Thank you.

  • The skill system looks good and I like the graphics style.

  • @DrSakur It looks very complexe

  • Zooc! Lets play some PoE together man. I have beta access. Messege me if you want to.

  • What impressed me was the Talent Forest System, I had the same expression when you opened the panel.

  • Played Diablo II for many years, and one major thing i felt it needed was end game content and guilds.

The biggest thing that I like about PoE is their ability to stick to the classics but do it in such a manner that they flawlessly integrated updated graphics with the needed addition Diablo II lacked so much. It seems almost perfect on paper.

  • My favorite aspect of this game is the endless possibilities for your very own user-defined "class". The skill "forest" I think is an excellent replacement for the usual stat point allocation. The skills are unbelievably customizable, too. Find a skill gem, socket it, and even then augment that very skill with support gems.

I do want to see a crafting system as was in Diablo 2 with the hoaradric cube. Maybe an alchemy system using multiple gems to form a single gem similar to gems in D2.

  • Well I thought skill forest was original, but apparently I'm not the first to think of that. =(

  • My favorite part of this game ,besides being a diablo clone in general, is the Final Fantasy 10 skill tree. It allows for lots of character customization that isn't available in a lot of games. I'm hoping that they allow for more private online play like diablo did, so that you can group up with friends and own some mobs. I really love the higher level cap and the more end game content you mentioned. I would have liked to have seen something like that from diablo.

  • Well A new skill system, but we got that already :P

The graphics and the lore is awesome, and I really like the "instance" system, with open server towns, but private quest/grind areas!

I finally build a new computer, so now I just need some awesome games to play on it. and gz on your partnership contract!! now our expectations to your videos will start rise even higher :P

  • I personally enjoy everything about the game so far. Because it has diablo II feel to it. It has taken some things from diablo but it also has unique aspects , I like the diablo 2-ish map and i think the skill tree is interesting. Can't wait to actually play it cuz atm its hard to tell what I don't like or what I like alot. I like hack and slash games alot and since this game is similar to my fav game which is diablo 2 i'll probably like every single thing about this game once I get to play it.

  • The skill system looks promising and they did say that it has almost endless options on how you can play your class with the skill runes and supportrunes but hopefully they dont fuck up the free to play aspect.

  • looks like a combo between Diablo and Runescape X_x fml.

  • I like the awesome hack n' slash of this game! I havent ever played Diablo so I cant compare it or see the comparison between them, obveously. What I would like to see is character customization, most games nowdays dont have alot of customization--or atleast online games dont. So customization would be great.

  • This game has a really nice look, more realistic and dark. Also the textures are well made and with the amazing animationquality it fulfills at least my idea of good graphics. I could say i love the way it´s presented - that and the skill-forest!

Although it seems like a good "Hack´n Slay/Slash"-game i´d like to see some kind of combo system. Since the weapon get´s a related skill, there would be potential to combine the different moves and it would definetly add something to the fights.

  • Question 1: SKILL SYSTEM DEFINETLY! And its indie ofcourse thats grat too.

Question2: I would definetly want to see bard class for a sixth class (wis dex hybrid).

I really hope u give key for me.

  • I really like how well they have blended the Materia (skill) system from Final Fantasy 7, the skill tree from Final Fantasy 10, and the gameplay from Diablo. All of these together is going to allow for a very free-form character development, and allow any play style to be effective. And seeing the different economic system of bartering instead of selling countless items is awesome. What I hope to see continue is the darker feel of the game, there are too many out there today that are lighter.

  • Question 1

Seeing the skill tree system floored me, I'm so used to seeing games be dumbed down and aren't as complex as they used to be. The skill tree system seems to allow for nearly infinite customization and to me that means everything in RPGs. Though the skill gem system took second place, love that whole system as well.

    Question 2

I'm hoping that the barter system stays how it is, maybe becomes more complex and in-depth. Having a currency that is "scarce" is far more valuable than gold

  • As from Diablo 2, that axe would've been better. 1 max dmg is always better than 1 magical dmg.

  • what I like about this game is that it is quite similar to the champion return to arms. I have not played diablo before so I can not say that this is more like Diablo than champion return to arms.

  • i think this game is very straight forward and i somtimes miss this in games

  • What I like about the game is seems very accessible, especially with it being free to play. I also like the darker theme to the game when compared to Diablo.

  • The aspect I like is that, like diablo, it's a nice rogue-like adaptation. I'm a real fan of roguelikes and even tho these are real time they are still as fun. As for I'd like to see in it, it would have to be completely random dungeons you can go in with your friends. Nothing necessarily story related, just a solid dungeon crawl for loot, xp, and procedural surprises!

  • The aspect that I like most on this game is the accessibility by someone like me who hasn't played many hack and slash. Also the passive skills... WOW.

  • This passive skill tree > FFX.

This skill system > Most ARPGs on the market. Hell, even most RPGs on the market! Seems soooo promising and is what I'm really looking forward to customizing.

I knew about this a year ago, if not longer, but apparently never subscribed to their newsletter to find out about beta. Could've sworn I signed up back then, but oh well, have to deal with it now.

I am honestly looking forward to this game more than Diablo 3. I believe everyone should be.

  • wow, people are writing NOVELS in the comments. if this is how the community for the game is going to be like I have high hopes for this game! awesome game, huge pst!

  • I like the idea of a MMO being like Diablo, Diablo 2 always was better in multiplayer and I really like how the developers have gone away from Diablo as well. Such as the skills coming from your weapons which enables you to just level the skills you use the most based on how much you actually use them in game. The massiveness of the skill tree looks great as well, it seems like it will leave you with no shortage of customization options.

  • I particularly enjoy how playable this game is. Yes, you can dive into nitty gritty stat calculations but it has basics that look surprisingly easy to get my head around. Although i haven't played any of the diablo games i am looking forward to buying them soon and seeing what elements have been used in this game. I'm definitely excited for this title, especially because it's free to play.

  • My favorite thing about this game is quite simply that it is another Diablo/Torchlight style game. Diablo was one of my first games and it is also one of my favorites. The idea of playing that type of a game with mmo elements and a skill tree that takes up more than your screen is a very interesting concept for me. I can't wait for this to go open beta so I can get my hands on the game and actually try it.

  • For a "F2P" game, I like every aspect of the game. They really put much effort on the game's graphics. But I must point the shadows and the thunders from the start of the game which what strike me the most. They really had good attention to detail. It just shows how much potential this game got from the hands of those developers.

  • The thing that strikes me the most is the exceptional animating quality. Apart from that the skill "forest" is quite reminisent of 1 of my favourite games ever (FFX), and the skill system (Which you didnt showcase >:( ) is quite fun and full of potensial, although the end game will tell if it is actually balanced..... I see in the game the noir world Diablo 3 seems to be deprived from.

  • Skill tree, definitely my fav. Then I would say the art style.

  • What I like about diablo and such games is the items, I remember getting a goldskin and rename it and soketing it, my friends and I knew what items we had coz they were so rare and we'd personalize them, it was awesome, and I guess the coop interaction, without it it's not that enjoying, also what I wanan see in this game better than diablo is NOT grinding bosses for rare items, only one time you can beat the bosses, that's fair

  • I really love the Customization you can do to your skills and weapons, what i'D really like them to do is secret areas which you can access, they'd be easy to see, but harder to access, so like there would be a lever hidden away in another room than the one the secret is in so you'd have to work for your reward, really loving the atmosphere of this game atm looks amazing for a free indie game and im hoping to get to experience it first hand on release

  • I'd have to say that my favorite aspect of this game is that although it is a diablo "clone" it reminds me A LOT more of Diablo compared to the Diablo III beta playthroughs. The character scaling seems nice, although i have to say that i DISLIKE that all the mobs are dying in one hit. So i have to say that some kind of "heroic" mode would be great. ( and yeah, sorry for the use of "heroic" - still damaged of playing WoW)

  • Comment removed

  • FFX like skill tree ftw! =)

  • I'd have to say that my favorite aspect of this game seems to be tha ability to have any character become good in whatever you decide.

As for what I would like to see... I hope that the currency stays with items and not gold, I like this idea and can't wait to see what GGG does with it. Perhaps they will introduce "junk" items, like stone or whatever, that just function as currency. Good on them for thinking outside the box.

  • this game looks promising the skill tree is huge which is something that I really like about it however the lack of variation with monsters kinda throws me off I'm sure this is just because it's a beta so i hope they have more. I would really like if they added wasd keys to walk around i'm not a big fan of clicking to move and maybe another class or two would be cool. great game from what I can tell hopefully I can find out for myself.

  • I wont win by why the fuck not? I like this game cause i have been hopping from MMORPG to MMORPG forever looking for something unique. Vindictus in my opinion was meh the controls feel clunky and it feels like it should be on a xbox but when i came across this game...wow..this is..holy shit look at that Wilderness of SKILLS. Ouh look at that dungeon crawling! fuck yeah!

  • zooc why your voice makes me feel good? :|

  • My favorite aspect of this game is the that even though the game looks like Diablo at first glance, it still manages to overcome that and retain its own uniqe flavor (If that makes sense?) One thing i am hoping that they do is, as time progresses, add even more classes to the game, Or add some sort of "Create a class" type of thing.

  • I like the amount of effort GGG is putting in this game, the quality and content, in the Beta no less, looks amazing, I also like the gem system, though it seems that they need to make it better, seeing as only the weapon you start out with get's three slots to put gems in, unless the weapons level up to give more slots, in which case, I haven't played the game, so please forgive me. I hope they make the story deeper and move away from being a Diablo clone to a game that has it's own identity.

  • the more it resembles diablo the better that game is amazing + the epic amount of end game they are saying it has literal makes me drool! looking at the skill tree scares me a little but im looking forward for this game so i can build my character however I want!

    thanks for the great video.

  • I like the graphics, they appeal to me very well, because dark-but-no-block and the classes seem very interesting. It's awesome that it is so complex and free to play. The Skill Tree Made me gasp, but I dont like how they choose beta players, because they just randomly give away keys to people who wont probably give any feedback, which is the point of the beta.

  • My favourite aspect of this game is that it resembles diablo, the best game ever.

  • I would like a WASD based movement, not just point and click. But that's just a dream.

A more reasonable request would be multiple skill paths that actually work. Diablo 2 managed that at around patch 1.10 when you could basicly make at least 3 versions of each character. And all of them playable.

Second request - item granded spells/abilities would be nice.

Third request - another one that won't be implemented - i would love to see a market system to prevent trade scams.

  • I love [potential[ balance, [potential[ variaty of skillbuilds, [potential[ interesting / rewarding league system, [potential[ good maintenance of this game. Becouse everything what we see for now just smart ideas with some implementation. As always, its not most important thing in gamedevelopement proccess.

    Sry for crappy english :)

    Alexandr.

  • They should make a decent cursor, then all would be good ^^

  • I really like the customizability you have with your character. Even though you have 6 classes you can pick whichever passives you like and equip whatever spells you want. So effectively you can make an entirely new class.

  • The best part is the overhead view. Im so used to it, since im a HUGE diablo 2 fan, and i think too few games use it these days. It makes the game feel very special, and its really easy to control them

  • I like the graphics, they look very cool, in spite of the fact that it is free to play.

  • I think the thing I look forward to most is the ability to customize your character with gems to have skills specific to what it is you are trying to do with a character. Not only does that give your character a sense of identity and continuity, but it also allows you to have multiple items of you need to adapt your tactics to a particular situation. You can instead of respeccing your entire tree to get a specific spell you need, simply swap out a piece of gear for a single fight and be done.

  • I like the way they did with the character movement and aspects, so real soo cool, and the skill tree is huge how awsome its that!!

  • The skill system (where it is bound to different gems and gem combinations) seems interesting and adds a fun element to item customization. As for something I'd like to see...I was really impressed by the dynamic questing in Guild Wars, and though I realize something on that scale isn't really possible for this game, some elements from that would fit well within a hack and slash game.

  • Since diablo 3 is coming out like 2025 i would like to try this.. :P

  • my favorite aspect of the game is probably the huge skill trees, and that it's a free to play game

  • My favorite aspect of this game is the skill system passive and gems , mostly the gems where you can combind passive skills with the gems to add bonuses like multiply fireballs for exemple.

what i like to see in this game to see in this game is a nice pvp system but that is what they are saying that they should make allso.

Free is good , i eat everything thats free and have the taste!

  • looks nice the potions much better than filling up bag space also love the skill tree like the way you would have to realy spend some time to work out a nice spec to use the thing i would like to see in game later would be some sort of multi class say when you get max lvl you could do quest for each class to get a sub class they could lvl up and then use parts from both skill trees

p.s. nice Vid Zookk as normal :-)

  • You mentioned instances, I'm quite interested in seeing how they do this. Will it be similar to Diablo with just quest boss style things? Or like a FFA style wow instance (No tanks etc.)

  • my favorite aspect is the fact that your skills depend on skill gems even though the gems need specific weapons it still can be very diverse. and also how spanned out and intricate the skill tree is it really makes a huge set of modifications to your specific play style. as for what i would like to see in comparison to diablo is a very well balanced pvp set up and a more reliance on skill rather then loot.

  • GL winners :)

  • My favorite aspect of this game?

    It's *free* AND *high quality*

  • First of, I think the active abilities are great. Picking which abilities to use by socketing them is cool and combining them to create different versions of the spell is amazing and gives a lot of flexibility. Also, getting better at something (similar to Dungeon Siege) by using it more is very RP-like and gives a nice touch to the game. The passive skill system looks impressive and overwhelming, although might be a bit too much and I hope it works well. Finally, F2P never hurts :)

  • The thing I personally like the most about Path of Exile is that it keeps the dark look Diablo 2 kinda had. I would also lie if I didn't say the skill tree impressed me a lot.

What I would like to have in the game would be some more appealing animations. Also the game seems kinda slow and you don't feel too powerful, but it is the beginning of the game. So I do hope the game improves in gameplay later on but I strongly believe it does.

  • I love how they modified aspects of the game you would find in Diablo thus making it better and more original, also the skill tree is awesome since you can pretty much build your character however you like and the skill gems are the icing on the cake :D

  • i personally like everything about the game so far. because it has diablo2 feel to it. it has taken some things from diablo but it also has unique aspects , i like the diablo 2-ish map and i think the skill tree is interesting. can't wait to actually play it cuz atm its hard to tell what i dont like or what i like alot. i like hack and slash games alot and since this game is similar to my fav game which is diablo 2 i'll probably enjoy every single thing about this game once i get to play it.

  • Favourite part about this game: It's MAAAAASSIVE skill trees and the spell socket system. Looks like you can really experiment with those spell sockets ^^

What would i add to this game: I would probably add a customization system for each character, so male/female and general looks to make your character look more unique.

I don't really know what else to add, this game just looks amazing and I want to play it! :(

  • My favourite aspect of the game is the skill system... i mean how you have to look at the sockets in your inventory to chose the right item so you can use the optimal combination of abilities... and most of all i like the atmosphere... this dark fantasy seems like a lot of fun

the thing i would like to see would be some awesome voice acting.. for like the questgivers oder the character himself... like some deep voice shouting " Marauder SMASH!" .. would be awesome^^

  • my favourite bit is that you kick dead bodies to loot them.....

  • Well one of my favorite aspects is that weapons aren't bound to you character. Like for instance a witch can use a big war hammer and still murder people. Also i really like the fact that you can dual wield weapons or at least some weapons since i saw TB did that with two wands. one thing i would like to see is some sort of faster transportation like sprint or something similar i would also like to see a feature that if you double click on items to equip and such. one last thing great video zook

  • What I like here is the amount of mobs to crush. Seems as good as D2 ;)

For what I'd like to see, since you noticed no stamina bar, maybe a mount system (horses or dragons, why not) to travel maps faster (also waypoints are here) but mounts could be used in battles or to simply show off since it's an MMO ;)

In any cases, I'll play Path of Exile, Diablo3 and Torchlight since I have the previous ones ;)

    Hack n' Slash FTW!

  • My favorite aspect of this game has to be its resemblance to diablo, the sounds and way it plays gives me serious nostalgia, amd the skill forest is genuinely exciting.

Diablo 2 can do no wrong in my eyes because I grew up playing it every day for a long time, but if I were to have something added to it, it would be character development depending on the class you choose. In Diablo the npc's all treat you all the same with unchanging plot. Even though you have very different personalities.

  • My favorite aspect with this game is the massive forest of passive skills to choose from and how you can just pick whatever you would like no matter what class you choose as well as the unique method of aquiring skills with the use of gems. I really hope this game can succeed with the use of these two new and different aspects to this style of game. I would also surpass just being another diablo clone into being noticed by the newer interesting traits this game posseses.

  • it's a shame you dot have many more views! you are one of my fav youtubers!

  • What I like?

It has the same grim aesthetic as the first two Diablo games.

No assigning points into arbitrary attributes; "would you like to add strength or intelligence to your sorceress?".

    No item store.

It's free to play, so I don't have to choose between this and other games.

A guy gets eaten by a zombie in the first 5 seconds.

  • I am genuinely excited for this game to become open beta.

  • So far my favorite aspect is the talent tree (or as others have stated, a forest). I am hoping that there are not a ton of filler talents (i.e. + 1/2/3% chance to crit, etc) and instead there are interesting talents that make each of the characters very varied. Also, a sprint/fast moving feature would be nice. The levels seem very large for there not to be one.

  • this looks like someone made a mod for diablo 2

  • My big issue with these games is that i'm constantly swimming in loot and i hate to do all the inventory management.. i just wanna mostly focus on the combat and not on constantly doing accountability of my stuff...

  • Not looking for a Beta key (I'm patient enough to wait for the game to be ready for open play, and figger someone else needs it more). I've been playing D2 with my wife, and we are looking forward to PoE because it is an evolution from what we've come to expect in this kind of game, and not merely a "clone." Love the skill flexibility, the atmosphere, and the attitude of the devs. =^[.]^=

  • awesome!

  • I gave my answer before, but I'd like to add the fact that there is no "quest" or quest log.... in "real situations" you just remember what you were asked to do... aslo, it forces players to actually read the text and get immersed in the story :D

  • (im gonna make this brief) Well.... my favorite thing about path of exile is that at least they chose a good game to clone and think of it as an expansion or a new Diablo game if u will . i love hows it free to play and that the graphics and combat are fairly decent.

  • My favorite aspect of Path of Exile is the interchangeable skill gems that will allow people to play the game in their own way, and the aspect of Diablo that I would love to see in Exile would be a coherent and epic story driving the player forward.

  • My favorite thing in the game are the socketable "spells". Though not shown in your video, the gems go in weapons which give you access to your various abilities. They can then be removed and placed into your new items. This seems to be a pretty big deviation for all the other Dioblo clones.

As apposed to Dioblo I'd like to see the Devs really take advantage of the PvP potential this game has. The skill tree/ability gems would make PvP very interesting in my opinion.

  • My favorite aspect about Path of Exile from what I have seen of the videos is the skill gems. I think itemizing skils is an interesting idea along with the oblivion like leveling of skills.

What I would like to see in it compared to Diablo is the ability to rotate and zoom while Diablo it was always a fixed camera.

  • My favorite aspect of Path of Exile is actually probably the amount of the loot difference, you don't really see it in this video, but I have watched a lot of videos about Path of Exile. Something I would like to see in contrast with Diablo is maybe the companion hiring system, where you could get a ranger or whatever to help you on your quest. That really helped me as a spellcaster. I loved Diablo and every hack and slash RPG I have played since, getting a beta key for this would be awesome.

  • looks like a dark game, hope zook finds some oil soon.

  • I would try for the beta key, but I've never played Diablo before

  • Unfortunatly I never played diablo, but a good friend of mine did a few years back. I watched him play it a few times as a sorcerer and it looked quite interesting. A bit more hardcore than WoW in terms of solo content; you need to use potions and you were constantly being swarmed by multiple enemies.

Im looking forward to Path of Exile coming out as it will let me try this game genre for free with some nice graphics and an amazing looking skill forest. 100 levels reminds me of runescape :)

  • You had me at diablo.

The music was one of the main reasons i played WoW. I still adore the IF music :)

lol 'There will be bugs' :D

I don't like the skill tree tho it's easy to figure out so that's okay, i do like the graphics, it's a lot better then most free games so it doesn't feel free :)

As for Diablo what i preferred with that over WoW was the story line, I would like the chick imma be playin to have a reason to kick ass :) <- totally non coherent haha :D

  • Not to mention that the combat itself has a great traditional hack-n-slash feel. Waves after waves of disposable enemies that you just plow through, rare monsters and even boss fights that, if you slip up, could cost you your life. In addition, they have also created a very dark, gloomy feel that this game is meant to have. They have done that incredibly. Even in the brighter areas (the beach area). In all honesty, I am looking forward to this game more than Diablo III and Torchlight II combined

  • I have not played Diablo, but I have played Diablo clones. I would love to see a minimap in the upper-right corner, as well as numbers actually indicating how much health you have. Maybe even numbers showing how much damage you're dealing out. Just a few tweaks.

Aside from that, this game looks amazing. I love that they have taken this type of game to a f2p model. The graphics are stunning, and the ambient music even more so. For an indie company, this game is a huge accomplishment. (cont.)

  • WHAT IS THAT RED SHIT ON THE SCREEN?

  • I think my favorite aspect of this game would be how long I could enjoy it. I love games like this and this one is free, can be played for a long time, and looks good. One thing I especialy like though is that it's a lot like my favorite game ever, Titan Quest, which was also, so I've heard, a lot like Diablo.

  • Personally I've never played Diablo, Anyways my favorite thing so far is probably the league system and the skill forest. The only thing I dislike so far is the combat seems kinda meh but beta is beta.

  • Personally I just love the skill tree since it reminds me of Final Fantasy 10. Everything else looks pretty well polished for a free to play game.

  • My favorite aspect of this game so far on first impression? Has to be it's feel and ambiance, I've played only 10mins-ish of the game through my friend having beta access, and it has such a great immersing feel to it, nothing like i've ever seen in a dungeon crawler type game, what i'd like to see, or altered in a way would be the combat animations, maybe a bit picky, but i just think the auto hits for someone like the marauder need to be a bit more meatier and hard hitting, Go Zooc! :P

  • The looks good!

  • I don't quite know what to think about the skill tree. By the first looks of it, i don't feel like spending hours trying to figure out how it works. But it may also bring a huge number of options to create a unique character. If I win, I'll be all over this game to calm my hunger for diablo 3

Also, I would love to see the marauder with whirlwind, that skill is a classic of melee,

There is a lot to be said about my expectations, but I don't enough space.

As always great vid, keep them coming!

  • i've played the diablo series, still am to sate my want for this game and D3.

main wise, this game brings alot of nice color into it, also love the seagulls and random things that fly away as they please.

a nice incorperation, maybe that i would love is possibly a talent tree, the gem things for spells is cool, but i'm not a fan. that's just me going on, wanting a beta key.

but thanks for the time zooc, have fun moving when it happens, and i definatley supoprt all of your videos.

  • @gnomeraver There is a talent tree and it's frigging huge XD!

  • am i only one concerned that dead ppl lying everywhere and zombies attacking you constantly reminds you of your home town?, where you live, hades?

  • @TheLaggymclag

    Probably Racoon City.

  • Gief meh beta Zooc i por. ;_;

  • My favourite aspect of this game would be the extensive skill system (with both the huge passive skill tree as well as the skill gems). I think there will be a lot of fun to mix and match all sorts of combinations.

As far as things I would like to see go, one of the things which drove me playing diablo 2 was the storyline Therefore a storyline or some quest chains would be very nice to see.

  • The skill "complex" is my favorite part of the game as far as I've seen. The amount of customizability it adds is ridiculous.

  • What I like about this game the most is the similarity it has to FF games.

    1. Being the active skills are like materia where they level up and work together depending on the support gems. 2. The passive skill list is very much like later FF games with so much customization I can't wait to try it out.

What I want to see this game do is continue the story with expansions which should be easier for an online game like Path of Exile. Even increasing the level cap past 100 would be amazing!

  • My favorite aspect of the game is how much the skill "tree" scares me.

  • it skill tree loooks very nice!

  • I like the gems(give you spells), and the skill forest,as far as the different thing from Diablo idk really, just hopefully it has some awesome end game content and plenty of it (fingers crossed)

  • favourite aspect is the skill tree, it doesn't need anything more from diablo

  • I think my favorite aspect of the game should be the gems and the flasks. The gem skills are just epic and in my opinion it could result in creative and interesting ability combination and of course the huge types of sub-classes there could be with those gems. Also my second favorite aspect is the PvP. PvE can quickly get boring and somewhat repetitive for some individuals, so PvP is a great way of spicing things up.

  • The skill panel is my favorite, cus its big as yo momma (jk)

  • I do not have the beta key yet, so i haven't played it and my opinion is only about what i have seen and read. I really like the Skill tree (looks huge), but as long as i haven't played it yet, i have no idea how many different "builds" can i make. Ladder and ranking system is always good for eSports (need to support eSports, not ruin it!!!).. I wish to see millions and millions items that i can choose from.. not like everyone is at some point with same looks and same stuff :) GG

  • My favorites aspects are:

    - gem skill system: allows for crazy builds, but also it allows to mix You favorites styles of gameplay

    - flask system: the most brilliant in POE, its the most advanced health/mana regen system ever, its balanced & skillbased

    - forum item linking system

And about Diablo comparison, i would like to have a skill that could allow my ranger to use spears like javazon in D2, i would love also to have ingame currency based auction house and wider camera view like in D3.

  • Never really played too much of the Diabloe series, but I've played another game in this genre called Sacred and the expansion Sacred Underworld. What I really liked about it and would like to see in this game is HUGE bosses that takes you quite a while to kill, like Dragons and Giants.

  • My favourite aspect of this game is the skill system. I heard that the current amount of gems/sockets that give you an ability will increase as the ones shown in beta are only for testing and that means we will have tons of combinations for our spells which is neat. It will be less likely to find another person with the exact same abilities as I have. I want dungeons to be the same diablo had (it was so good that it actually made you explore the entire dungeon without thinking about it)

  • @MoVySaN thanks! and omg I meant you download it off steam or buy at some game-selling-shop-thingie...should stop playing amnesia till 1am,messes w/ my english, lol

  • y is it F2P but have a closed beta/ need a beta code?

  • So,F2P means we buy it off Steam and play for free,or we download it for free and play for free....It should be buy off Steam, coz no one will make a game that's free in every way...eitherway,long live ligal piracy in Bulgaria! lol

  • @ShootKillRepeat1 you don't buy it at all dude...
