Perspective changes caused this effect, nothing "moved" but the camera position. That "thing" behind the rock is at the bottom of a slope... and the background music is retarded btw.
After recreating this in 3D, I see that this is simply parallax. The dark rugged rock in the background is much larger and more distant, and when the rover takes the second image frim a different vantage point (to thr left) it only appears to have moved. Same for the "flipper"- it's not a moving object, just seen from a different angle. It's deceptive but it's not alive.
If you have a simple look at the other rocks, you'll notice that they are all in a different angle than on the first pic. So conclusion is simple, your red circle anomaly is a rock in the background and it's position simply changed because the angle of photography changed. Nothing more to it ;)
@bodymanba I concur. I would be impressed if it were the same angle, but as it is, the angle difference is severe. When you look at it as like one of those games where you need to spot the differences, you will see how different the pic actually is.

The Navigation camera Images, are 3 stereo images left and right, six pictures. The rock that seems to move, is much further in the distance when you view it in stereo, so it moves more dramatically with the forward motion of the rover in relation to the ridge with the cracked rock. the other small anomaly is just a small pointy rock. :{}
Have you seen the footprints in the sand?? Between 0.17 and 0.24 seconds I think. Could be tiretracks, but it looks to me as the footprints from boots the astronauts use.

they are two different angles, check out the part that looks like a bulls tail. its flat in one image and not in the other because of the angle. when at that other angle, the dark rock on the left would appear between the two other rocks, just like the 1st image

The rover and camera was moving in toward the rock of interest. When it got into position and the light was right, the "tail" became visable clearly. If you had switched the 3D pairs the proper way (I did it in photoshop) both images merge fine in the 3D.
3D pairs need to be either
a) one of them flipped, to be watched with a mirror
or
b) The left and right eye images switched to view crossing your eyes.
You presented the pairs in a way impossible to watch with neither method.
Or the "lie" is somewhere else?

John Lear on "Coast to Coast" claims that we have some kind of Base on Mars and that humans have been seen on video walking up the rover to do maintenance. Might explain the foot prints.

although the camera has moved the dark rock has also and quite alot to the left... it just has... winds, aliens, rover havin a laff with us (!!).. the larger rock with it's tail/foot IS purely down to camera angle...

... lol, we already know that winds on mars can exceed 288 km/hr, i wouldn't say it's much of a leap to suggest it's nothing more than wind unfortunately. I'd love for you to be right but i see no evidence here.

Interesting, but you have to think logically and in a very real seance, how the hell is this possible? the most likely imo is photo editing, dust storms, earthquakes, rocks that are not actually rocks although they look like rocks or foundations. Interesting.

I hate to crush all your dreams here... but the image is flawed. I'm one who wants to believe too...in fact I do. But this isn't good proof. Take a moment to really look at the 2 images when placed side by side. at 1:09 when they show the 2 red circles showing the strange moving object. The rock to the left is a completely different rock. Even if these two angles are slightly different, that white rock wouldn't be THAT altered. I'm just not buying it, not yet.

I enhanced the picture and its definitley an biological entity moving from right to left, its not a rock.The tail i cannot explain, but he rocks look like fossils to me.

I've seen this exact area talked about before. Apparently, there is an object that has moved significantly from one image to the next and alot of people are beginning to take notice. The mystery is ....what is it? Could it be alive? How did it move past one rock to the other side?

The rover and camera was moving in toward the rock of interest. When it got into position and the light was right, the "tail" became visable clearly. IMO, it is probably plant like and the end of the tail is like a leaf, to collect sunlight. Rocks do not have tails...LOL...IMO, definitely biological. However, the moving rock is simply an illusion caused by the change of viewpoint of the rover. But that Tail!!! Wow...good find dude!
