I received a letter from my sponsor child last night. He is in Ansagale, his letter spoke nothing of how impovershed his family is but how much fun he had playing soccer. What we take for granted is incredible.
They were stolen from Africa to work on the farms, as slaves, in Haiti as slaves by the French and have been abused as a Nation by the rest of the world since they won their independence around 1800. Read "The Uses of Haiti".
They used to have control over the Dominican Republic and were much more prominent, but after that they became much more of a failure. Keep in mind, this video is actually in the dominican republic on a market day. They do not live under tents, they are used to block sun or rain. However on the bordering town, they still use fires to cook over and sell donated good to make a living...
Que faites vous pour sortir ces gens de la pauvreté rien!!
Alors allez plutôt aider les clochards dans votre pays.

Is this the way they have been living for thousands of years or has something happened to make them live like this.
