This video is a little out of date now. More recent DC's have there plant equipment on the 3rd floor so the whole of the ground and 1st floor can be utilised for equipment. Makes much more sense.

Jesus thats horrible! Cabling above is far too much hassle and can be a problem if cables are being laid, there is always a risk to equipment below.

About $50M PA for the electricity, $5M PA maintanence of the cooling/electric, $500-1000k in local taxes, $500k+ water rates, etc.

Then there are business costs like security, admin, sales, network connectivity, etc.
