@ChloeeyJade147 Thanks :) Why do you 'hate' casio keyboards? Hates a pretty strong word, they must have done something really bad to you in the past. If you like this song, check out my newer videos; better keyboards, better playing, and better sound quality!
I think hate here is being used same as the hate one would have toward a Geo Metro once you've driven a Ferrari. Pretty Good cover though, a Casio keeping up with a Kurzweil that was used in the original.
@pedro702lv i assume you meen the casio WK-3800? I can tell you that I have played a yamaha tyros 3, PSR S900, korg PA1X, and I now own a korg M50 also. The Casio, although not as feature rich as some of these keyboards, sounds great and can really impress in the right hands
I found the CD! luckily. But how do you get it to work as a controller for Reason?
I've had reason for a while but haven't really used it much since it's kind of intimidating to someone whose never used a program before. BTW thanks for being so helpful
@moltengrace don't have any experience with reason, but you need a usb cable, then you can probably assign midi control to 'usb out' within reason itself.
@moltengrace oh yeah, but I only had the demo version of reason. I seem to remember it was just plug-and-play though. are you using the casio as a controller, a sound generator, or both?
@Nismology5 Well Just a controller really, I've only played piano for a bout a year so I'm not that good and I just want to record some basic stuff, y'know trying to get off my feet a littlle.
@moltengrace you need software to download new sounds/rhythms, and you need the drivers if you want it to interface with any sequencer software you have. The software/drivers are not available for download unfortunately...
@moltengrace just use a usb cable to connect it to the computer. I have a normal belkin one. Usb is in fact much easier to use than midi when connecting to a computer :)
Yes. I have not tested this extensively, but I have got it to communicate with Cubase SX3, Reason 4, Logic Express 7, Arturia analog factory and korg legacy collection. You cannot however use it with hardware sound modules. I wouldnt say that theis keyboard is a very good midi controller/master keyboard. It has no assignable controllers apart from the mod wheel, and the key action isn't particularly good.
its just rhythm 049 trance with tone 001 - mellow piano. In the transpose/function menu, use the cursor to scroll along and turn on Mix Hold and DSP Hold. Set the DSP for the piano sound to STdelay and put the delay time to 069. put the delay feedback to about 80 or 100. In the mixer, swith tyhe DSP on for tracks 5,6 and 7.
its the ******* real thing!!! iwant this keyboard, i m tired of my LK-70 bl or whatever it is!!! shit man, i have to start looking for a cheap deal!!!
Отличная работа, мне очень нравится, спасибо

I know why they install blinking leds to digital keyboards.
So that socially excluded nerds would feel that they belonged. ;)

@mrteemumilto It's the tempo light. And is that a jab at keyboard players? ;)

Hey I've got a quesiton, I own a casio wk-3800 and is there any way to hook it up to the computer for recording, sort of like a MIDI controller?
I bought a midi-cord and realized that there are no Midi ports on the back, only a strange USB port.
moltengrace 1 year ago

very nice, i want to buy this same model.
does the USB connectivity allow you to use MIDI software modules, digital patches and recording...just like a "midi controller"?
