Beginning of the end for Zep...Shoulda never left Atlantic. The work they did with that label stands way above, head and shoulders above the stuff they put out under Swan Song. Page´s excess caught up with them.
@RideMyF150 I think that there just may have been a few other things that led to Zep's end...Plant's serious leg injuries in 1975; the death of his son in 1977; Page's raging heroin and alcohol addiction during that period; and oh yeah, John Bonham's untimely death in 1980. And Zep's music on Swan Song was just as great as anything on Atlantic. What do you work for Atlantic Records or something? LOL!

Sure, tough to keep a band going for a decade...just think the quality of the material during Zep´s Atlantic years was way better than their Swan Song output. For my taste more focused, energized and raw.
not sure if i already posted this but since this is the anniversary week of my fathers death i'll do it again.
This song is the song I wished to play at my fathers wake. I remember in the seventies him listening to both Zepplin and Sabbath on reel to reel tape...and this guitar lick always caught my ear...god bless you dad
