  • gulp alive are so productive !

  • 1 thing that sucks about mn is that there are no stripers :'(

  • whats that a carp lolol

  • As a fisherman wouldn't want to live anywhere else Minnesota is the best. I can climb in the truck and drive in any random direction and find a place to fish

  • @brawhit1989 I definitely would agree! Got many species and being able to fish open and hard water makes it even better. Although I do wish Minnesota would have a larger size of fish which is difficult due to the winter here stunning their growth.

  • nice fish man. what fish lure you using?

  • @RafaVilla13 4" gulp on a yellow jighead.

  • yall chinks dont know shit about walleye. tiny ass walleye. and a carp? lmfao, dumbass

  • nice fish man, kinda funny how your homie said is that a carp? lol but river fishin is awesome, ive caught some pretty big smallies out of the good ol miss. i usually use a black with red eye floaters with a couple weights... that does the job for smallies wallys and crappies. good ctach tho!

  • @privatetipper Yeah, the Mississippi can be a pretty good spot. I usually fish Pool 2 when I've got a fishing itch to scratch and it really produces. BTW, can you elaborate more on your lure you used? I got a little lost trying to follow up on if it was the type of jighead you used tipped with something or if it was the actual lure. Thanks!

  • Hey bro, nice fish.

what rod reel set up you have? I'm trying to get a set for my trip to Devils Lake.

    thanks

  • @bvang09 Hey. Thanks for viewing. I got a Fenwick Elite Eagle GT 6'6" Medium action paired with a Shimano Sahara 2500 spooled with 6lb mono in this video. However, with the summer now I'd recommend you to invest in some more expensive 8lb mono line and you should do fine in Devils Lake if you set your drag appropriately. I actually went a few weeks ago and did perfectly fine with this set up. Beautiful combo and very sensitive rod for the money. Great for jigging also. Good luck!

  • @MNLoveOutdoors I will try to make a slide of some of my pics of this early season including the Devils Lake trip.

  • Nice Walleye. Keep in mind that idiot with the crappy remark goes through torment everyday because he's full of hate.

  • @ezfixitonline Glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for showing some support ;)

  • What river are you guys fishing ?

PS: To the person with the uncalled for nastyness--> If you're not Native American then your roots are from another country and stand liable to be called rude and nasty names. Maybe even something worse than what you called this man. Tell your Mom she didn't do a very good job raising you.

  • fuckin chinks

  • @TheyCallMeKhaos Go get a life and find something else better to do if you're only here to look for trouble. This is about the outdoors, not about discrimination. If you can't simply watch this video just for the pure enjoyment of fishing then quit complaining about it. And if that's the case I highly encourage you to just skip to another video because I find it quite sad you'd even waste your time to make such a stupid remark.

  • @TheyCallMeKhaos lol cowards being racist on youtube, thats just too funny.

  • fans my ass!

  • lol, he said what is that a carp? so funny

  • nice one good eating too

  • You should post up more walleye fishing bro, I definitely would like to fish for Walleyes in Minnesota for once haha... Hopefully when the ice melts down, I can do some spring fishing where I know best in Wisconsin and take some footage of my angling experience to share with y'all.

    Tight lines.

  • @JYX1991 Definitely. I've got a few other short clips of me catching some smaller walleyes, but just haven't made the effort to edit and upload them. Let me know when you upload any videos. I'd love to see them.

  • @MNLoveOutdoors hi, i had bought the 3" gulp minnow the smelt kind and i had no luck with it or maybe i just don't know how to jig it, anyway, i'm not going to give up trying so i bought 2 more pack of 2.5" minnows one watermelon pearl and one boji blue. are those too small for walleyes? should i stick with the smelt ones cause that's all the size that they have at walmart. i've seen more at fleet farm, but walmart is closer to home so that why i buy it there.

  • @j0hnxjxrambo Hi! Good question. Personally, I think the 3" is probably the most versatile one of the gulp alive minnow series; I have rigged it various ways and have had much success with it. I guess what might help with jigging to is to make sure you have the right jig weight combined with the size of gulp. Personally, I like to use a 1/4 oz jighead for the 3" and 4". Anyway, 2.5" for walleyes? Personally, maybe early season you might have some success with it, but I'd stick to 3" if

  • ... if I could. You get a better cast and I don't think the walleyes will shy away from it despite it being slightly larger than the 2.5". I have also found the 2.5" to be a bit stiffer than the 3". However, since you've already got yourself some 2.5", keep it handy. I find it pretty useful for crappies, either jigged or even dropshot. Either way, last season I landed a majority of my fish on gulp minnows. Wal-mart shad color has done a lot of "dirt" for me alone, but I guess it depends on

  • @j0hnxjxrambo ...depends on the water color also. Even then, I find changing the color of your jighead to the water color is sufficient enough for success. My rule of thumb I have taught myself for jigging is if the fish aren't actively surfacing/feeding topwater, cast out your jig and make sure it settles on the bottom. Afterwards, just jig it by popping (aggressive fish) or lifting up your rod (cold front) making sure it stays on the bottom 2 ft. of water. Stick w/it and good luck!

  • @MNLoveOutdoors okay, thanks. so if the water is clear do i use a natural or dark color lure or do i use bright lure that includes dirty water too.

  • @j0hnxjxrambo If it's clear water I'd probably go natural first since, due to the clear water, the fish may be more use to seeing natural colors than unnatural colors such as red, etc. If no bites then slowly work down the color wheel to darker colors. This also applies to murky waters like how I am fishing here, but vice versa (darker baits first, then to lighter colors like yellow, chartreuse, white). Don't forget to factor in how cloudy or sunny it is also. As my own personal rule when

  • buying baits, I always try to buy all the natural colors I need first before buying the unnatural ones. Guess it also depends a lot on the type of water you are fishing. Natural colors I usually get first are silver and gold, but these colors usually only work best on sunny days. Either than that, the most common unnatural colors I use are chartreuse, yellow, and white. Try to think like a fish and you will probably land more also! Happy fishing and let me know how you do!

  • @MNLoveOutdoors alright, thanks man.

  • @MNLoveOutdoors oh yeah i forgot, what kind of jig heads do i use? cause all i have are ball head jigs. do those work for walleyes?

  • @j0hnxjxrambo If you can message me your email I can send you a few picks of what I like to use.

  • Hey, that's Nao Thai's son.

  • @Tobudz Yes it is! lol. Who is this?

  • @MNLoveOutdoors I'm Johnny's first cousin. You know, Johnny, Shelby, etc.

  • @Tobudz Cool. I know them. Nice to meet you here. Thanks for viewing.

  • LMAO KONG MENG XIONG!

  • Looks good. You got mad fishing skills!
