  • And thus millions of people died of siezures...when asked if it was worth it, they replied:

''Nobuo I will NEVER hatehatehatehatehatehate HATE you!!!!!''

  • this version is very lacking

  • Why are they showing every game buy FF6 in the video clips? xD

  • When Square sees how much money Konami makes off of the MGS series HD remakes and the ZOE remakes, maybe they will finally understand...

  • The dude on the piano reminds me of umatsu

  • @darevice239 I don't know if that was a joke or not, but yeah, it is Nobuo Uematsu on the synthesizer =)

  • @Varinz it was a joke

  • So many hipsters in that crowd.

  • ALL HAIL KEFKA! XD

  • wtf, random FFVII clips

  • The crowd looked bored...

  • @mastermax7 In Japanese culture, audiences are expected to remain silent and well mannered.

  • 139 people are dancing mad to this song in their homes right now.

  • Nobuo Uematsu is a Genius!

  • im learning this song, the whole thing is 13 pages long, some parts r easy, the rest r hard cuz there r too many notes nd too many fast notes

  • @nevadakid1000 I'm totally with you there. Probably one of the most difficult ones to play. I can only play half of it. Not all of the parts I can play go together though. Song is awesome though.

  • @TheGynednyssamm ikr! like in part DM 1, the speed up, omg it took me a while to get that down

  • In my opinion, the best FF boss theme of all time.

  • 2 People are Sephiroth fanboys.

  • thumbs up if u think all FF music is awesome!

  • Not only does uematsu compose this, he even plays the most important part on the organ in front of a huge crowd

  • @Peanutz996 he was in some bands as a pianist before his ff days...should be like the old days to him haha

  • starting at 5:46 you can hear Eddie Van Halen's tapping section of 'eruption'.

just listen past his wah effect and you will hear it.

  • better get my FFVI out and play it, they are commanding me to do so

  • does any-one had found the piano part sheet ?? I need it ! XD

  • Man I wish the quality was better :( and the video louder :P

  • I'm a fan of FF VII and Advent Children, but they need to do a movie now of FF VI

  • NOBUO IS A GENIUS!!!

  • i personally miss the days when you were protecting the four crystals.....those were fun and hold lots of fond memories...

  • Hmmm, pretty good but a bit average.

  • @FirestormSurtr Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions but still...are you serious!? Dancing Mad is the best final boss theme ever. It is the perfect character study of the villain it represents!

  • @Haynelia101 Exactly! Most people only got into FF after 7 hit and think it's the be all end all... sorry. VI is the Big daddy!!! Kefka would destroy Sephiroth anyway.

  • @EddyVitkauskasXband I'd say you're wrong. 9 is the best. It has great music, great characters (Kuja was a cool villain, people just can't get over his outfit cause they're homophobes or something), had better pacing than 6 (I love 6 btw, and I started with 4 when it came out) and had just as awesome a battle system.

6 was, though, indeed very awesome. Better than 7? No. Is 7 better than 6? No. Are they both equally AWESOME? yes!! Awesome in their own ways.

  • Comment removed

  • @EddyVitkauskasXband FF4, FF6, FF7, and FF9 I'd say are the masterpieces of the series. I've honestly enjoyed elements or the entirety of the game from each other entry too, but those 4 specifically are the top notch to me.

Though, FF5 might be up there, I need to play it again (been so long and never actually played it fully through lol). The systems were awesome.

FF9 at the end I only never finished cause, like all games, I get distracted :P I wanna do this and that and don't want it to end.

  • @Vicioussama Agreed. 4, 6, 7, & 9, are the best. Not necessarily in that order though. ; ) I can relate to wanting to do this and that putting off the end of the game because you don't want it to end. 9... I recall the search for the spots on the world map that you were given a small picture referrence of... There was a pic of just water!!! but I found it. Also recall jumping rope with Vivi 100 times but the damn rhythm changed @ 101 and it pissed me off so much I never did it again.

  • @EddyVitkauskasXband @Vicioussama I thinkt he jump rope thing was stupid as hell personally, I mean, not bad really, but unnecessary. But ya, 9 is still my favorite over all (amusingly enough, found out it was Sakaguchi's and Uematsu's as well)

  • @Vicioussama FFV, in my opinion, should be in that list and I strongly encourage finishing it. Have fun with Neo-Exdeath btw ;).

  • @MrPrinnybomb 5 really had great systems, but I do need to play through it again because the rest wasn't too memorable for me. Maybe just because it wasn't the first and it was a damn long time ago since I played it.

  • 2:08

Look at Nobuo hump that Keyboard. LOOK AT HIM, THAT'S JUST HOW AWESOME HE IS! :D

Haha, seriously though, Nobuo = The man.

It's kind of sad that he no longer does the Music for the FF Games... :/

Ahh well, we've still got songs like this of his to listen to. :)

  • @joshp011:

Ahh woops, just saw in the description, meant Organ, not Keyboard.

  • @joshp011 Here's a hint: he's not hitting the sustain pedal with his foot :P

  • FF VI is still the best of all series of course the others have merits but after SNES had died and square changed plataform i think the series had steped down a bit... the stories are not THAT interesting anymore and beside the graphics had improved a lot, they are losing track of the origins going too further in the future

  • @SirVejeiro "Graphics improve alot" Compares with NiGHTS from sega saturn tell me how much graphics is that XD

  • @KaitoMiki im comparing FF VI with the new ones.

if u think NIGHTS from saturn have better graphics than FF XIII its ok to me

  • This would've been one of the best videos ever if it weren't for that gay editing.

  • In all honesty, I was born after 1990, and I gotta say. VII and VI are of equal merit. They both have great music, a great story, and above all else, great characters. But VII doesn't have Kefka Palazzo in it. Just a slowed down verison of his laugh (examine the pumpkin in the Ghost Hotel store at Gold Saucer)

  • This is my favorite by the Black Mages. It is so completely bad ass.

  • It's awesome and hilarious to watch nobuo rock out hard while playing. What a legend.

  • I know, it's good to see that the composer enjoys playing the music live XD

  • at about 1:30 it sounds like the castle keep song from Castlevania: SotN.

  • FF VI one of the best FF of all times!

  • the best :)

  • FF VI, the BEST FF of all times. I played all of them in order, I am 30 now. And I can tell you that we tend to think the best FF is that on that we play first. But I did not play the FF6 first, I played them in order, and I can tell you, FF6 is a masterpiece, and FF7 is the fan-club of those born after 1990.

  • @AltoxKun agreed, anyone who doesn't is prolly a graphic's whore or just never played it, sadly.

  • @AltoxKun The best*. Fixed for you.

  • @AltoxKun Is the best FF of all the times.

  • FFVI - the best Final Fantasy that's not VII or VIII. I'm playing through FFXII now (finally) and while I'm really starting to dig Hitoshi Sakimoto... he is no Nobuo.

  • Grand master, that he is.

  • When I was little and first heard this music, at first I was like o_o

but then I was like @*@

  • ffs this rules *faves* *rates 5star*

  • Pure brilliance.

Nobuo Uematsu is my number one composer of all time, mainly because of this song, and the entire soundtrack to VI.

  • never played VI is it worth trying? :O

  • Absolutely. No matter what your current favorite FF is you're bound to love it.

  • It's an excellent game that holds up remarkably well even now.

  • @thisbarb

And yet, despite this, no word of a remake for it. I get the commotion for a FF7 remake, especially with Square releasing such an epic PS3 teaser, but...fans'll still hold out. At least work your way up, Square, do FF5, then 6, etc.!

  • plus u have to check out the best villain in video game history :)

  • FINAL FANTASY VI.... by FAAAR the BEST FF...

  • Mmmm i think you're right.

My favourite is 7 but i think the best is 6.

Dancing Mad <3 I love how this theme fits so perfectly with the final battle.

    5 *

  • This theme describes Kefka insane misanthropic and sadistic 5*

  • Spot on Spot on

  • Nice choices with the lighting effects. It evokes the "mad" part of the song title quite nicely. Makes you wonder if (on the mental level) this isn't what it's like for Kefka all the time.

  • Come on, no more messing about with VII spin-offs and remakes, all of which have sold poorly and recieved commonly negative reviews. Square Enix need to pull their few remaining good heads together and kick out some full-3D HQ remakes of our favourite NES and SNES games!

  • No, what they need is some good main series games. That is, FFXIII, FFXIV and FFXV. Enough spinoffs, enough lousy sequels, enough remakes, enough random stuff. Go back to your roots, Square Enix. You used to make turn-based RPGs.

Personally, remakes don't do a whole lot for me. The only remake I really needed was FFIII, and that's because I don't speak Japanese. Flashy graphics aren't important, and extra dungeons are usually pretty lousy.

Then again, you're entitled to your opinion, as am I.

  • Yeah seiously. all the games up to 9 were made by square soft they merged at the end of 9s development and became Square Enix

  • Wrong, it became Square Enix with FF X-2

FF X was made by Squaresoft U.U

  • @Terradreamer We should make a detailed letter avout our opinions.

  • @Terradreamer Only 1 that i considered terrible was the Cerberus one

  • @Terradreamer all the new final fantasy games are more like movies they need to go back to the roots.

  • @DemonicGhostwithin which newer ones? only XII and XIII might really come to that, and more XIII than XII. XIII wasn't too bad. But I agree that it should head back to the FF1-6 or 9 style, hell even 7 wasn't so bad. Still had the fantasy feeling with sci-fi (as did 8, but 8 was poor in story, characters, and gameplay imo). X wasn't too bad, but they do need to get Sakaguchi and Nobou back for FF

  • @Terradreamer Crisis Core, iirc, sold well and got positive reviews :P it's Dirge of Cerberus that recieved poor positive reviews, but still sold well.

Advent Children wasn't a game, people praise it even though movie-wise it's terrible (poor plot progression, character development, etc) but it's still sold well.

Not sure what hasn't sold well with FF7 in the title lol.

  • @Terradreamer YEAH!!! FF7 would be easier to remake than the other games before it. They shouldn't bother with that one. they should remake any between 1-6 on the PS3. That would be AMAZING to see kefka in blu ray lol

  • @DayneV11 I ask you... Do you truly want to see Kefka in full 3D HD, burning Figaro Castle barely an hour in. Poisoning the water supply that leads to a crippling epidemic illness and genocide of a warring country. Burning countrysides to his sick pleasure using a mind controlled Terra. Becoming a complete god and initial source of all magical existance. Destroying the entire world and reshaping it to his own image, causing countless million deaths...

    I know I would.

  • @Testsubject909 VI is so good it doesn't need to be remade.. But if it were FUCK THE FUCKING HANDHELDS AND PUT IT ON A BIGASS MOTHERFUCKING... Sorry.. Fuck the 3ds and go right for the PS3

  • @MalignantNarcizzizm you are right, remakes needs a complete overhaul, just to match the expectations. you saw what happened to Golden sun DS, a complete shit.

  • @Terradreamer They made a full 3D remake of Romancing Saga 2 on the PS2, dubbing it Romancing Saga (original, I know).

It's an incredible feat, as the quality of the image boosts itself up to a mindblowing proportion. It'd be the equivalent of making an HD remake of a Playstation 1 game.

So yes, if Squeenix can make a 3D remake of a game series of lesser reknown of Final Fantasy, you know that they're just being lazy not remaking a proper 3D remake of older games, as fans keep asking.

  • @Terradreamer Id like a game about the war of magi actually

  • @Terradreamer I think NES and SNES games doesn't need to be remade 'cause it's already perfect the way it is and doesn't need any changes though it lacks graphical contents.

  • @Cidk10 The only upside is the music one be more crisp and that would be awsome but I agree I don't care about graphics its a great story that matters and FFVI an IV had the best in the series.

  • @Cidk10 Just my opinion on this comment, Graphics are nothing, if a game has the gameplay/storyline and playability, then it wouldn't matter if it had the worst graphics in the world. Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda and Megaman on the retro consoles are prime examples, not very good graphic wise, but you can play them for hours because they are so much fun! :)

  • @Cidk10 I believe that Terra was attempting to say that Squenix should take the best FF titles (V, VI, and IX, in my opinion. Idk why people always overlook IX...) and make them for modern consoles with better graphics etc., but leave everything else alone. It would simply be FFVI with PS3 quality graphics. Imagine a 3D rendering of the world being torn apart by the unbalanced Warring Triad...

  • @Nyxlave

I'd kill to see a PS3 quality Remake of final fantasy VI.

  • @CLStarling If only I knew -who- I had to kill in order to get it done... There's actually a lot of games I would like to see remade with better graphics. There has to be a way to make it happen. If Squenix knew that enough people would buy it, they wouldn't hesitate to remake the old FF games. I must ruminate on this...

  • @Terradreamer there hasn't been a ff7 remake

  • @Terradreamer

    - they dont care about fans anymore... those that did retired and sold the company to big business -_-

  • @MasterHypnose QQQQQ

  • @MasterHypnose as far as Uematsu is concerned. I have respect for him. when the original creator of FF left, he left due to loyalty to him.

  • @Terradreamer

To be honest Crisis Core was amazing and im glad for that game, as well As Advent Children movie, and yes FF IV-IX, all could have amazing revamps, as I dont want Remakes, :)

  • @Terradreamer I would give my left nut for a high quality 3d remake of FFVI. Ok actually I wouldn't, but I'd have no problem parting with some hard earned cash for such a product.

  • @Terradreamer Like Garland?

  • I REALLY think they should make a live action movie from FFVI, split in 3 or 4 parts like they did with Lord of the Rings...

  • I'd rather have a remake. A worthy one, that is.

  • Agreed, say... With Crisis Core or dissidia graphics? :D

  • Kefka: Everything that ICP ever wanted to be, but are way too fail to even come within anything similar.

  • Kefka, one of the evilest and most deadly bosses of the FF series. One of my all time favorite bosses!

  • i think these guys are great and im not even a RPG fan

  • Indeed they are.

  • But isnt that why we love them? ;)

  • this sounds like lavos' theme from chrono trigger. lavos' theme sounds like the end of the world if u ask me.

  • lol mamas boy

Kefka wears make up. Take your pick a mamas boy or a cross dresser .

  • Id go with the cross dresser in that case :P

  • All FF villains are a little strange in some way, honestly.

  • no, he's an evil clown,

  • actually he is a Jester

  • pot, kettle,

  • 2:47 - 4:03 I Luv That Part ^^

  • they should have stop kefka's laughter in it like in the game it would sound great

  • epic

  • i love this song...first i thought it was boring but now i think its a masterpice like everything from Nobuo...the solo is soooo...uuhh..i love it ...im tryinig to play it on my guitar..

  • The first part of the song sounds like it'd fit right in with castlevania... just my opinion.

  • What's up with the FMVs for FFVII, FFIX, and FFX? :/ This is an FFVI song.

  • Because they're comparing how badass this song is compared to those GAMES themselves. It just goes to show you how 1 FF6 song can trump 3 other FF GAMES. :)

  • Unfortunately, true as that is, FF6 doesn't give a lot of FMV footage to work with. FF6 DS better fix that....don't look like that, you know it's coming someday. :)

  • Gameplay of the fight this was written for would've been great.

  • Nobuo Uematsu is by biggest influence as a composer. I hope to be as amazing as he is one day. I would truly appreciate everyone looking at my achievements so far.

    Thank you all!

  • the best FF song ever!

Kefka is the most awesome villain in FF series!

" Why do people insist on creating things that will inevitably be destroyed? Why do people cling to life knowing that they must someday die? Knowing that none of it will have meant anything once they do?" —Kefka, on the futility of existence

Pure philosophy! Like this awesome track!

  • True! A deep nihilistic tought!

"Values do not exist but rather are falsely invented".

  • Comment removed

  • 4:04. I consider this a privilege to watch.

  • i love this

  • damn seeing uematsu rocking out like this...

    sickk video

  • 00:20 - 00:33

    *bows down*

    We are not worthy!

  • Uematsu is a freaking genius

  • Simply Awesome!!!!

  • nobou uematsu is kefka!! in the 3:00

  • goes a little fast at the begginging but aight

  • awesome kefka is truly the lord of evil he owns sephiroth and everyone except.................KUJA

  • Well they are both pretty equal, the only difference is Kuja actually destroyed a planet while Kefka was stopped right before he did it.

  • And Sephiroth failed completely.

  • yeah you are right. the "obcesion" with sephiroth is only because the movie

  • Come to think about it, after the original game, Sephiroth's only purpose seemed to be messing around with Cloud.

  • I CAST SEIZURE!

  • 99999 damage!!!

  • OVERKILL

  • -Can't Escape-

  • Run, Run, or you'll be well done!

  • I think the video clips would've worked better if they hey kept it to final battle scenes.

You gotta love those dissonant chords right before the end. I also love how it ends on a flub! It's okay, Nobuo's awesome!

  • if they had*

  • They could have just not had the video clips, and we could have watched Nobuo pull of those amazing scales towards the end-- which was the whole reason I watched this video. Too bad I was denied that privilege.

  • I dislike the game cinemas that are being shown during this performance. Why are all the other games in there? This song is all about Kefka, his madness, and the epic battle to defeat him. The images from the other games aren't relevant and take away from the power of the song in my opinion.

  • i've sadly not had the fortune of playing FFVI, i was gonna get it a few years but regrettably i chose not to, my first exposure to it was this Dancing Mad then I found out about Kef throw Dissidia and watched vids of him on youtube and sadly theres only a few seconds worth of FMVs in the game so thats probably opted to show others to maybe "entertain" people who don't "get" DM since its pretty long but they do show a good bit of Kef

  • I don't like the organ in the Black Mages version of Dancing Mad. It's too fake-sounding and doesn't do the song's fantastic organ composition justice in my opinion.

Although I doubt that Nobuo could bring a real church organ to a BM performance, so it's understandable why he has to make do with an electric organ.

  • I think it's less of trying to imitate an actual organ, and more of being faithful to the original composition (MIDI). And playing an organ is different than a keyboard. The recording of this song also uses the electronic organ rather than an actual organ.

  • Now that I think about it, a real organ probably wouldn't fit in with synthesizers and electric guitars.

And bringing a church organ to a live performance would be somewhat difficult; the Black Mages would have to find a place that has a church organ and perform there, and those types of places don't seem like their typical venues.

  • Look how concentrated Uematsu is. Usually he's hopping around. I guess he could, but of course he wants it to be perfect. This shows "Dancing Mad" is more complicated than it sounds. Hard timing and rhythm indeed. It's like "Toccata et Fugue" of Final Fantasy. ^^

  • If you've watched the whole thing, you'd see that he IS hopping around for most of it. lol

  • iv posted a vid response of the solo to this song, please check it out and give feedback! iv just reached 900 views!

  • drums really sucked...hanyuda could do better

  • I have all the Black Mages albums and love every track! Keep rockin'!!!

  • Ahhh man! Dancing Mad is probably the most epic song from Final Fantasy ever.(In my opinion)

  • No doubt. It really is.

  • Speak true words there, my friend.

  • just mentioned above but iv posted a vid of the solo, wud like people with good taste in music (ie, urself) to check it out! cheers matey

  • YEAH! You have Beethoven, Bizet, Grieg, Mozart and UEMATSU

  • Dancing Mad FTW!

  • This song without a doubt is in my top 10 of FF Peices. And this performance is just outstanding D: Go Uematsu Go xD

  • 4:26 and somewhat after that, Uematsu did that entire solo one-handed?! Great at making the music and playing it, a master among VG musicians.

  • No, he's playing the bottom keys with his left he's just standing in front of it

  • no, i thought the other keyboardist was playing the left hand, thats why it super imposes the other guy over the top of Uematsu during a part of it

  • sorry, my mistake, you can just about see his hand on the lower keys, my monitor isnt very good ¬_¬

  • This is one of the best songs from FF ever!

  • Thank you!

  • You can tell Uematsu is really enjoying this one, rock on :p

  • Finally someone has put this video up! Took some time!
