Been playing this game for the past couple days and I'm impressed. I don't get why this game isn't as appreciated as much as games like Seiken Densetsu 3 are.

One of my favourite SNES games.

Dunno why so many gamers give this low scores for not being 'varied' enough for their taste...

Come on, it's got simple story and gameplay mechanics which are effective nonetheless, the music is good and the bosses are as tough as they're hyped up to be, along with progressive difficulty.

Not to forget, it's fun,fun,fun

I remember downloading this game two or three years ago and I don't remember why I did or how I came across it. Glad I came across the translated version, though.

But you know what? I don't regret it; it's one of the best SNES games that sadly never made it to the American market. I mean, it's one of those hidden treasures that a lot more people should really play. I cannot recommend this game enough friends of mine.

I have, many times. I usually link my friends to your site since you practically have the only one on the internet that's very resourceful regarding Alcahest. In fact, I found the trailer through your site, and I'm happy you made it.

Seriously, more people of the Nintendo fan base needs to know about this game.

And I remembered how I came to download the title; I just scanned the A-titled games on ROM site and thought the name 'Alcahest' was cool. Heh, funny, huh?

I have this Rom for the ZSNES emulator... I saved it to the last level, and I'm almost done beating it... hard game.

It would be really tough playing this game on the famicom, because there are no save points... you have to be a pro at this game.

Awesome, so you're almost done with it. It's hard but a great game, eh? The battle system has a lot of variety. Lol, I would imagine it would be harder on the real thing. I admit cheating a little bit with emulator save states.

pretty cool trailer, definatly makes me want to play the game, too bad I don't understand japanese.. The biggest hook which doesn't allow me to enojy this :)
