  • hi

i m muslim and i wear hijab and abaya and i am half italian i dont wear niqab but you should not have been scared anyone can be muslim if they heard you speak they would presume you were a convert which is a good thing so they would have been happy :)

i think niqab is pretty but the eating troubles liik tricky :)

  • Are you from Europe? Because you sound French or something.

  • @jennabug121 yes, I am Italian!

  • @RTWgiulia Ohhhhh because I knew you sounded European, I'm half Italian! :D Good project though, I've wanted to do something similar except mine would be the opposite of this and I'd see how people would treat me differently because of niqab since I live in America.

  • @jennabug121 That would be really interesting! I am planning to do it again when I go back to Cairo, I will be more relaxed and I have a better camera now...

Well I tell you I am pretty sure you'll get a lot of attention! While in the Middle East, it's the complete opposite. It's a strange world :)

  • @RTWgiulia yea, there are alot of women who wear the hijab in my area but not many niqabi women although I have seen a few

  • nice video

and yes wearing nikab is optional in islam

u may had felt hot and u couldn't bear it because u r not used to were it and u r not used to the weather

but its nice from u to are about muslim women who were nikab.

  • i appreciate the fact that you went and tried the niqab and respected it :) it can be hard at first and especially if u are not used to it. i understand that u were feeling hot but if u would have worn top or t-shirt under the abaya it might have been easier ;) thanks for not smoking with niqab :D

  • I've been wearing niqab for three years and I got used to it...now I can eat a big meal in a luxurious restaurant faster than my husband (he's a slow eater)...and I can drink juice without a straw . It's easy I just raise the niqab from the side not from the front. And for normal breathing I buy lighter fabrics...but I had the same problems that you mentioned at first.

  • this video sucks and is a lie. I hate it when people who have no experience doing something try to share their NO EXPERIENCE with other people. She went to Cairo, give me a break. There are tourist everywhere with cameras, cell phones and most women do not wear Niqab. This video only adds to the propoganda. It took her an hour to eat a little piece of fruit. WOW, must have been a whole water melon. Believe me, NiqAb is NOT THAT difficult. Wearing a bathing suit is much more difficult!

  • May Allah GIVE you Hidayat convert moslem before you die. ameen

  • you have to have love for it in your heart and then allah will make it easy for you to wear.

  • it's not the fault of the niqab that you don't want people to hear you speaking english...!:)

also many women don't mind wearing it

    peace out...

  • The basic fact is that Egyptians are very sexually frustrated.

Foreign woman are always in trouble due to the dirty minds of Egyptian men.

The Niqab is sadistic and men who force their wives to use are have small dicks.

In generl, Egyptian men have serious confidence issues and that is caused by the manipulative ways of their parents; who are also sexually frustrated.

  • @AhmedAdly11 why do you say that egyptian men have dirty minds? do you know any egyptian men?

  • it depends where you live.. if it is cold then yess you can wear whatever underneath to keep warm, but if you live in hot climates then the less you wear underneath the more comfortable you are .. :)

  • You are a smoker that's an enough answer. Go heal yourself from having poisons then advice other from wearing niqab. It's just difficult for you to understand it. My wife is a western woman recently converted to Islam and she adores the niqab and she says that she can't imagine herself not wearing it. What you have to say about that?! Knowing Allah is great to make great change in one's life. May Allah guide you. Ameen.

  • we may be hot, but the fires of hell are much hotter..

  • @adile61 hahahaha... oh religious brainwashing. how funny you are!

  • I really cant see the point of this video.... i mean... duh, its hard.... its not a secret is it? But some woman wear it because they love god alot and know Hell is alot harder than anything in this dunya...... And so what if someone talk 2 you, maybe non arabs are muslim and wear a niqab... no problem. I just think this video is really pointless...

  • you said you were afraid that someone speaks to you, why?

a non-Arabic-speaking women may well wear the niqab,

Even if you are not Muslim, no one will have you allowed to wear niqab

Moreover, I love your objectivity when you say a woman is free to wear the niquab if by his own will, Traduction with GOOGLE TRADUCTION ( sorry about it)

  • You will never get it cz you're not a muslima. I am an european muslima living in Egypt and I am wearing niqab. And it isn't hard at all...you know why...cz Allah subhaan wa ta'aala makes it easy for us THE MUSLIMAS...off course its hard for you as you are not a muslim! It's very easy to understand if you are muslim...then it is so beautiful wallahy!

  • @linekamilla yes. your god loves only you and your people. we get it. your god sounds like a petulant child.

  • nice music and nice idea for a project but i think if you used the cam nothing would happen and if something happens you could let hazem handle it will u run :)

i hope you have enjoyed u time in egypt

p.s u don't look like italian but more like german

  • i imagine it must have been interesting for you getting the feel of a regular day in a muslim woman's life. however this video doesn't send out any useful information at all.

  • i think you are spying egypt wit ure niqaab.2 faces one on youtube and 1 on the streets of cairo, dangerous woman without fear of Allah

  • @euromuslima p.s. what about those muslim women in Egypt that wear niqab to hide themselves in some "circumstances"... I believe they should be more scared than me ;)

  • @euromuslima I am not spying anything coz I know Egypt very well. I am just trying to go deeper into the culture as I RESPECT it... And yeah I don't fear Allah coz I don't believe in God.

  • @euromuslima assalaamu'alaykum- Sister, have patience fi sabeelullah, Allahu'aalaam. If she finds she has a purpose of existing one day then it is between her and God, inshaallah. Her intentions are known better by Allah than us or her own self.

    alaykum assalaam

  • Wow. This was freakin amazing lady.

  • It feeled me with great sadness watching the Nijab being put on.

  • Comment removed

  • niqab is by choice.. i don't wear it... I wear hijab (is the one that God send to the woman to use) & I really would like to wear niqab, it looks beautiful... =)

  • is it normal for women in egypt wear niqab? do many wear there?

  • @kronlovespoetry there are some women wear niqab in egypt but not a lot..the niqabis women are abundant in saudi arabia, and afghanistan (but in afghanistan the women wear in blue, not sure the name for that)

  • @kronlovespoetry many women wear niqab in Egypt especially outside of main cities. All women wear niqab in places such as desert oasis (Siwa etc).

  • i couldn' watch the rest i kept skiping since you said (oh, i'll be in trubles) who will truble you ma'm? egyptians are very kind people and simply they don't care what you do ..

2nd: who cares what YOU think about niqab .. that wasn't an experianse .. you already made up your mind and you were acting from there ..

since you are not even a muslim you won't ever get it ..

if niqap is really hard like you say .. why you don't think why milions are wearing it?

    never thought about that?

  • @twilightegyptianfan And because you're Egyptian you should know that during the Revolution there were times when police was looking for foreigners and arresting them accusing them of being spies. Me and my flatmates had to leave our area. So it wasn't going to be pleasant to be caught under a niqab, you know... ;)

  • @RTWgiulia you didn't reply to any of the points he made, why do you think millions of women wear it, why are you doing this if your not muslim?

  • @skatetennis123 I just think you are all taking this too seriously. ;)

  • @RTWgiulia ok. watch my videos

  • BUT BECAUSE U DONT HAVE FAITH TO STAND ON IS WHY U FIND IT ANNOYING,WE HAVE MANY NIQAB IN MANY DIFFERENT STYLES AND ONES WITHOUT THE SCREEN OVER THE EYES ....WE WE FEEL BEAUTIFUL IN OUR NIQABS

  • thanks for doing this vid.the niqab can be hard at the start but in countries like egypt people generally dont go out in the day and they also more accustomed to the weather than us.i wear niqab sometimes myself .i feel when i wear it that because people cant see my face this taking inwhat im saying more many of my friends said that to me,.are you on facebook by any chance.seem like interesting person.oh ya where u frm btw .u from israel coz if u are its nice bridging the gap thing you doing

  • Very interesting video and experience! It's always useful to "walk in someone's shoes" before judging him/her. I can obviously see the annoying aspects of wearing this item of clothing, but I do think that it can be somehow great for women because by wearing it, it "frees" them from all the men that could look at them. And I say this as a man.

  • i call it niqab,

  • To be honest, you only show how annoying it is, how you can not eat, you can not breath.

But the woman who wear this dont even think about this, its something to please Allah. Fasting is also difficult, but also something to show how much you love Allah and in how far you want to go by pleasing Him.

  • @meryem885 Meryem, maybe you didn't watch the video until the very end - I have absolutely nothing against the niqab, don't get me wrong. I understand that if it's a choice then a woman will do it "with pleasure".

I just wanted to try how it felt like, and for sure I can't say it was pleasant.

But of course I don't have faith helping me standing it...

  • @RTWgiulia You are not used to it, so what do you expect>? We (women with niqab) feel very confortable in the niqab.

  • @meryem885 I know someone who wear hijab, and one of the reasons she wears it is "to sacrifice something that I like (her hair/showing her hair) for God. i.e. to be humble in the eyes of God"

Obviously, she mentioned other reasons as well.

  • @meryem885 allah is a jerk that likes his followers to be in discomfort and ashamed of themselves. He wants them to feel bad always for just simply being human beings of a particular gender and hide themselves like ever tiny bit of skin is somehow a horribly sinful sexual invitation.

  • @meryem885

Fasting is dumb & ignorant and is not about pleasing God. Why not get 2 the root problem of starvation so u don't have 2? That I think would please God more. I dont mean give your money to rip off charities. God is not in control. How do u know it pleases God?

  • @meryem885

It would make ANY person hot, sweaty & bothered in a hot climate or country so how is that making God look if it is supposed to be pleasing 2 him. His pleasure for your pain. That is totally disrespecting God as you make him look like f*****g Nazi!

  • Excellent. Well done. I always wondered about this.

  • @GoMadNomadTravelMag Thank you.:)

  • Excellent. Well done. I always wondered about this.

  • Awesome idea!! :) I liked it a lot!

  • @runawayjjuno Thanks dear.:)

  • I've always wondered what it would be like to wear a niqab/burka... now I know ;)

  • @LeslieTravel Thanks Leslie! Probably it gets better if you get used to it... but no thanks :p

  • Wow... Keep Doin' videos Giulia, amazing work... I think I'd freak out in a minute, you've been brave! ;)
