Most of us speak Hmonglish or conversational Hmong. The more I watch Thai dramas and listen to other "Asian" language I noticed that I don't even speak 100% Hmong. Those that do are the old folks. When you find yourself at a wedding or a wake listen to those long drawn out speeches and try to figure out if you understand a word of it. Because the last time I was at either one of those events I couldn't make heads or tails out of what the person was saying. They were speaking 100% Hmong.

Korea was low because the actors weren't well-known, so it didn't draw much attention. The series did get a lot of good feedback from outside S. Korea though. My interpretation is majority in the past tense because it's like telling a story. You've experience heartbreak and you tell your story. It's not you're going to experience the heartbreak and assume what the experience will be like.
