  • "are the american people prepared to lose more and more young men in viet-nam?"

  • westmoreland was an enemy of the people

  • if you're a big fan of war documentaries you have to check out Hell and Back Again a recent Oscar nominee that shares the story of a US Veteran fighting in Afghanistan and surviving a painful bullet wound. The documentary shares what most injured US Veterans struggle with when they return home from war that you rarely get to hear about.

  • The US should of never been over there but LBJ and the Military had to make up BS to get the american people to agree to go to war because they thought it was going to be a short war but it turned into something to big that the US was not trained for If JFK was still alive at that time it never would have happend but just as fast as JFK was killed LBJ signed the papers to put america at war

  • from 20:54 South Vietnam troops 27 000 dead, American soldiers casualties "light"...lol wat a load of propaganda nonsense

  • No shit? Wow what a psycho

  • Wht's the difference between serving your country and serving your government?

  • @NOLIBERALBIAS well sometimes your government doesn't have the countries best interest in mind...

  • fuck the media, it ruins the war in vietnam.. the media is the reason why the americans pull out their troops..

  • @kaynie143 My father was a CBS Reporter in 1966 to 1970. My family knew Walter Cronkite personally. We need more news coverage such as this to KEEP THIS NATION HONEST. Sadly, we don't have that anymore. When you no longer have the media telling you the truth, then you live in a totalitarian nation and your republic is gone.

THAT'S WHY THE FOUNDING FATHERS INCLUDED FREEDOM OF THE PRESS IN THE FIRST AMENDMENT. Unfortunately today the press is not free, it is corporate owned as is our government.

  • @kassandrasduplex Walter KRANKENHAUS was a backstabbing, lying, communist plant!

  • @jamieg1tube Cronkite served this nation and covered WW2 and was at the liberation of one of the death camps. He was more of a man than a miscreant such as yourself can ever dream of being. As for being a communist, your ignorance is profound. You should take something for your irrational hate and sickness.

  • @kassandrasduplex And don't try to talk down to me; I'll only have to get back on here and expose you for the psuedo-intellctual that you seem to be. :) Buhbye.

  • @jamieg1tube Really? Why did he kick American troops in the nuts and lie to the American people, telling them the war in Vietnam was lost during Tet, that the Communists were destroying out troops during the Tet offensive when the opposite was true? I'll tell you why. It was to BREAK THE MORALE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! Something that the ENEMY is supposed to do,not your own people. That is of course unless they have their own Quislingesque agenda, which KRANKENHAUSE DID! And in the end, they won.

  • @jamieg1tube he was cronkite....means sickness in german....he was high level illuminati......mason

  • @guadalupejoe1 sickness in german is krankheit, not Cronkite. Your further drivel about masons and illuminati warrants no further comments.

  • @jamieg1tube yeah right bro, cronkite is a commy bastard

  • @kaynie143 so the truth is a "bad thing for democracy", right?

  • @Elesparto u are a complete dumbass... do u believe everything the media tells you?.... if u hate this country so much.. get the fuck out then

  • I just can't believe they measured victory by death ratios. I mean in a major war 20 years before, the Soviets were being killed by the bushel and they still took Berlin.

  • lol @20;44 'ot appears the little bastards have had enough'

  • Founder of "Delta" at 06:30.

  • If you fight in any of the current and future wars you have been suckered by the powers that be--they play war games with lives and go to war for their own stupid pride...SUCKERS....

  • @Elesparto

none of these soldiers wanted to go to war. it's the governments fault.

say all you want about the government, but shut the fuck up about the people

  • @hobojakobo

True the governments, the powers that be, are responsible, but the individual has to choose to go, or get suckered into going. It is a massive con, no different then the con the financial companies pulled on the suckers who bought mutual funds. But in the end the individual chooses, he or she is responsible for fueling the wars by going. Then when they are torn apart they realize what a tragic mistake they made--realize it now before you go willingly toward the abyss...SUCKERS...

  • @Elesparto ever heard of a draft? these men had no choice

  • @hobojakobo

“Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.”

    Jean-Paul Sartre

  • @Elesparto very well spoken....The Hopi, along with many other tribes', religious beliefs, in fact the very basis of their philosophy was based on choice. The fact that no matter what external forces exist and influence your desiscion, the choice is ultimately yours, and you must live with the consiquinces.....

& to hobojakobo...read a book or two...lots & lots & lots of men that served in Vietnam volentered for the job. You cannott be made to ba a tunnel-rat, or SEAL, or SF, you MUST volentere

  • @f1471in3r

You know, people accept things as they are because they were brought up that way--for example, belief #1: The Native Americans were savages. Why, because they fought back when they were being slaughtered? It's the same in Iraq, and all other regions US soldiers are killing people. Belief #2: The US is the greatest country in the world. Really, you mean after committing genocide and enslaving people, and now bombing people makes you the best in the world? Really?

  • @Elesparto education gave way to indoctrination many many years ago

  • The Us has spent most of its exsistence at war. I heard 1 0ut every 8 years.

That sat. might be even more now. I serve 3 years in the Army during V. N: i am proud of my service . But, war is bad ,and i doubt serves any good purpose.

  • @judge6754 answer me one question: how is 1 out of every 8 years MOST of our existence? That's using your numbers also, not sure they are even correct

  • The U.S. invaded Vietnam in 1954 after the French loss at the battle of Diem Bien Phu when they demanded the country be divided along the 17th parallel and installed the only non-communist political leader they could find in a country they essentially created, Ngo Dinh Diem. They then provided the lifeline for his dictatorship with money, arms, and military advisors. You really have to go out of your way not to know when the U.S. phase of foreign occupation of Vietnam began.

  • @tpleines we didn't "invade" Vietnam in 1954. We had advisers there in the 50's but we never "invaded"

  • @emjphotography75 But the CIA owned CAT out of Formosa and employed US civillian air crews and also USAAF ground crew to look after transport aircraft even at Dien Bin Pheu

  • Unreasonable I realise, but when you invade another country, the local people do so resent it...and you.

  • @Jackthesmilingblack Tell me, when did USA invade South Vietnam? Or do you live in a parallel world? Seems like many commentators omit significant historical facts about the Vietnam war.
