True the governments, the powers that be, are responsible, but the individual has to choose to go, or get suckered into going. It is a massive con, no different then the con the financial companies pulled on the suckers who bought mutual funds. But in the end the individual chooses, he or she is responsible for fueling the wars by going. The U.S. invaded Vietnam in 1954 after the French loss at the battle of Diem Bien Phu when they demanded the country be divided along the 17th parallel and installed the only non-communist political leader they could find in a country they essentially created, Ngo Dinh Diem. They then provided the lifeline for his dictatorship with money, arms, and military advisors. You really have to go out of your way not to know when the U.S. phase of foreign occupation of Vietnam began.
