Anime isn't mainly about superheroes and while there are some magic anime there are lots of other anime too. I am addicted to anime and fanfiction, but so are my friends. We watch anime together sometimes and talk about it and fanfictions that we have read. It does not harm my social life or anything. I go out with my friends, go to school, read books, and I have a boyfriend. She needs to go to anime conventions and meet people with common interests in real life.

Also, I can say from personal experience that real art classes are incredibly boring and counterproductive (Especially when all you can draw even decently is big-eyed cartoon characters.) I mean, I took regular art class in high school, and it was hours of getting yelled at for not drawing lines straight enough or screwing up on shading in shadows, and the only thing I got out of it was learning how to use chalk and charcoal to make things look radioactive :/

At least, not in the muscled-up men-in-tights sense of american-style comics. The two closest things I can think of to superheroes in anime are Sailor Moon and Astroboy. IMHO if a person's school, work, and health are suffering then they need counseling to fix that. But if they can take care of business and still be online a lot, more power to them. There are more careers in graphic art on a computer than with pen and paper, I dont see the issue with her doing it on a computer as opposed to paper. Wow thats how i am at times lol. pretty much addicted to the internet and video games. it kind of sad but yet at times it does feel better then real life since it feels like nothing can go wrong and your in your own world. i never had to ruin a relationship yet anyways lol but yet it has ruin part of my life at times. But yet anime and video games are just thing yo u can go to when something bad happens in life or whenever your in a bad mood. It up left your spirit well for me it does lol.

GOD, fourteen hours?! Let me see how my time calculates; I usually am busy up around five, school until 1:30, usually by around 3:30 I am finally done getting home, eating, and taking a shower. That equals to 10.5 hours; now after that, I just lounge around and do a shit ton of homework until around 9-12 pm, depending on how much work I have. Then I pass the fuck out until five again. Holy GOD. People say I'm addicted which.. I'm not. X"DD
