I still have issues and it'll be a yr on 2/11/12. I'm getting better though. My biggest issue is putting the IV band on. My insurance barely covers the sensors, so I pay out of pocket for the IV 3000's so I only use 1. But I must admit it's worth it all. My A1C went from 11 to 7 in 6 months! The alerts sometimes drive me crazy. I literally have arguments with my pump on a daily basis...lol...All in all it's saved me =)
We are getting the nextgen this week. They look smaller from the images. My son likes your vidoes, because you are a little bit older then him...we haven't gotten our pump yet so we have been watching your video's.
Thanks for posting. I know what you mean about the trouble inserting and repetitive warnings. I'm trying it for the 4th time. I kept giving up because I felt like I was giving it more info than it was giving me! Also, if I tested & I was high/low, it would keep beeping at me. I felt like saying, "Hey, I know I'm high! I just TOLD you that!". It needs a "shut up" button. Frustrating enough dealing w/ highs/lows much less the beeping or vibrating, especially when I'm w/ customers or co-workers.
Has your A1c been any better since you've started using the pump or is it too soon to tell. My goal is to get it down from high 7/low 8s to somewhere in the 6s.
Thank you for the information. I got a mini med 723 yesterday, and wanted the CGM but unfortunately my insurance will not pay for it. My daughter had to have a CGM last year because of hypo episodes and the needles are huge the nurse put it in her butt cheek. I had a deltec cozmore but it was too bulky and felt like it did not do what I needed.
thanks for the update :) i have a 722 and I had to laugh when you said the alerts can annoy you! I was high the other day already so my attitude was anything but pleasant to begin with LOL and i had temp basal on, so it gave me that hourly beep, then a check BG alert happened, then an alarm I had set to remind me of something else...all within a matter of 4 minutes.
I know what you mean my sugars are really wierd the CGM saved my life\
