The beauty of Sufjan's music is that, although it is rich with religious themes and biblical references, it is not polarizing. To me his music is like being a fly on the wall quietly witnessing his most private and intimate prayers. It is so honest and raw. Whatever you believe, it feeds the soul. Well done, Jeremy. I was "bada-ing" along in the background :)

Agreed. His music is very unique. His music has helped me to find some spirituality even though I've cut supernaturalism out of my life. His music is so rich with innovation and instrumentation that it stands on its own without any lyrics. It's a delight to have a guy with the ability to write beautiful music and lyrics and have it all come together. A very talented guy.
