@Xezmer not really... as you increase temperature, gas solubility decreases thus boiling water reduce the amount of oxygen molecules dissolved. That why the idea is just to heat up to 80-90 degrees for water rather than go straight to boiling as oxygen content can affect the steeping of the tea
bullshark, the Chinese has been using hot boiled water for their tea for the past centuries and it tastes fine, extremely fine. Now comes this lying crap.... sad
WOW! This looks awesome! I bought a ton of loose tea and herbs. I have about 15 different loose teas, chinese herbs, shredded roots like licorice and astragals root and Amazonian rain forest herbs. They have worked wonders for my health and healed/cured some serious issues. I also collect olive and eucalyptus leaves to boil when I feel the flu coming on. This awesome tea maker just blows me away! I just wish I could afford one. Now, I just boil it in a regular electric kettle.
bought one of these yesterday from Toby's Estate for my wife for Christmas. Agree with other comments on other videos re plastics within the boiling vessel. would love to see these removed from future versions.
also, why not a finer stainless steel filter for coffee? I'm going to experiment with coffee in place of tea using a paper filter. we have the ability to control temperature and steep time! we *could* get flavours approaching a French Press - if not even better! Aussie ingenuity! Love it
@sdalcorn Try it and let us know! I have a Bodum French press and the coffee has come out pretty good but anything to make my life easier would be a welcomed addition.
@truckertwotimes With the machine or the girl? I cannot fault you on either account. I can't believe Breville has made so many types of machines; it's perhaps a little redundant though.
I'll probably be picking up their Smart Oven which looks like an art piece.

@TweedleDedeedee Australian company.

@tauwilltriumph yes, but still annoying since we have to face the fact that australian women have the most annoying voices ever! hah
TweedleDedeedee 1 week ago
@TweedleDedeedee Definitely, but at least it's not an extremely feminine Australian man, because those accents are impossible to understand.

Ok, quick question. Is this a cordless kettle?

Boiling water removes OXYGEN, thereby making it STALE? I stopped the video as soon as I heard that incredibly dumb statement.
