this song is originally sung by maureen mcgovern and used as a theme song from the movie 'superman' in the 1978 movie starring christopher reeve. the audio used on this short video clip of superman is a recording from one of lea salonga's concert and was not used as a soundtrack for the 'superman returns' movie. irenefchan and eyemvik777, this is just a cover.

Oh no, I have the Lea fever for a month now. I am starting to submit comments on how I admire her. This is an awesome rendition, so calm and classy.

Maybe Lea should have a concert here in LA singing most broadway songs with the replica of each stage set and invite one of the major player for each broadway play, like Miss Saigon with Bowman, Les Mis with Michael, Phantom with Gerard bultler? and more...

I like this version of superman, it is so classy. maybe you should have a concert here in la where they imitate the stage set of whatever broadway songs you sing then sing with a major guest for that broadway play.
