Believe me, those are for Add-ons DLCs, you don't need them from Platinum, some games don't have the (+) on the trophy, but as you saw, they say that you need a map pack, meaning those are not from the basic game so you can Plat it without them. Not a single Platinum would require you to purchase extra content to get it, some are easier with DLCs but they don't require it.

SOB!! (Not you zyon) Took me around 2 hours to get thru that damn tunel (yes I'm awful) but it's done. You can restock Smoke nades on the little bunker back a few meters from that tunel entrance, so its a good hint to know.

Sux that the devs didn't found any other way of making the game tough rather than just giving each Ai enemy a ration of 6 nades which they throw at the same time at you.

Yeah, but the grenade shower on the final push to the Riechstag was hell. I wonder how Nazos lost WW2 if they had that infinite supply of soldiers with an infinite supply of perfectly aimed nades XD

But its done, I got my Platinum and done, love the game actually. I'm trying to plat MW2 also but the lag on Spec Ops ruined the plan, I only need to complete the Juggernaut levels, did ALL the rest solo, even the ones that need 2p, I used a 2nd controller for the assistance XD

@erdvilla it lags on ps3? i don't remember that... ô_o but i haven't played spec ops - only a few missions (got 3 stars in the snowmobile mission :P) because i don't like the singleplayer in MW2. WaW and CoD 1 + add-on are the only CoDs where i like the singleplayer. and the fact that ALL CoDs are censored here in germany (especially WaW, but i got the english version 2 days ago^^) doesn't really help. -___- anyway, i'll try to get platinum, too. :] do you need the map packs (zombie trophies)?

It depends on how far are you from the servers, because my internet is tagged under OPEN on the Multiplayer and I can play without any lag, but the Spec Ops work different, they use a host-guest system so one player works as server so you need to be close to eachother to reduce the lag or have both good speed, I have 2mbps which never gave me trouble even playing with 15 people but seems Spec Ops is a different thing, even playing with 25mbps hosts gave me lag every 0.3sec

back to WaW: i'm in the middle of ''Heart of the Reich'' (after clearing the buildings, before destroying the 88s) on Veteran. F*CK THAT, lol. i have to watch a walkthrough. why can the panzerschreck destroy the right turret (which is easy to do with the explosive charge) with one shot but not the left one (defended by tons of nazis)?!

The 4 checkpoints while infront of the Reichstag are hell, what I did for the 1st pair of Flaks was to run for the left one as fast as possible hoping for the best, died a lot but at the end got a lucky run, blew it up and then the right one was easy, checkpoint. The second pair of Flaks is a bit less painful if you saved 1 of the rockets and picked the second up you can blow the right one from a distance and the left one should be no prob.

@erdvilla i completed Veteran today. :] i had to destroy all the flaks with the explosive charges, though... /:| i've also unlocked almost all of the trophies. the only one that's missing is ''The Sum of All Zeros'' (shoot 45 japanese Zero planes in Black Cats). unfortunatley, i can't get the map pack trophies... T_T

The Zeroes one is easy on Recruit of course. I usually don't buy map packs since I'm not a Muptiplayer aficionado, I prefer single player story DLCs or something like that rather than different places to play the same game modes.

No, you don't need map packs for Platinum, it only involves the trophies from the basic game, always does. DLCs are extras, most of the time they have a + symbol under the trophy list that denotes they are from extras.

I killed the guys with the machine guns up top by the boxes, go back out to kill the rest, and BANG dead in less than a second,.. FUCKING HATE THIS LEVEL!!!!

same, i know i shud use the flamethrower in the tunnel like this guy, but coz the enemys can kill u so suddenly, i get the feeling its too risky to jus run in there and use it. so most of the time i end up spending ten minutes on this part shooting them before getting shot by the enemys outside. and all for 30 gamer points lol.

if you have trouble on the 2nd anti tank position, take the sniper on the first one,

clear out japs on the left and in the lake in the middle and flank them from the right but look out first they will throw 6 grenades and then banzai charge, take 'em out and the rest is a peace of cake. Except cannon bunker which is a pain in the ass....

i did it like this:

have 2 smokes ready, throw it in

rush deep, shoot out a mag of flamethorwer on the first wave on enemies and retreat with flamethrower burning.

lay downon that far box beacouse they sometimes can't hit you there with granades and most of them will throw them back there where you rushed. than camp and shoot the guys that respawn and maybe some banzais or above in the hole on the roof.

At the end throw another smoke and rush and hope for the best. (It'll still take some time)

I got COD WAW for Christmas and im hooked!

I was a little cautious because i listend to people saying that its not that good, its not better than COD4 MW etc etc

My advice to you who are thinking about getting it, get it. Dont listen to anybody, you will be suprised just how good this game is. Try not to compare it to COD4 and you will reap the rewards.

The maps online are huge and brilliantly structured, much better than COD4!

2 of them will run to you when you enter the area. 2/3 people are still behind those boxes.

yea I know, it is the most difficult part of this level. I also had to try several times/tactics to pass the last cave. I suggest you to smoke the whole place and burn them out xD
