  • Tonight your going to sleep with yor rifles. BECAUSE THATS THE ONLY PUSSY YOUR EVER GOING TO GET!!!

  • it was good but to short...wish it was longer :(

  • all the women in this film are prostitutes

  • @shortcircuit925

well I dont know if that was on purpose but I dont think someone like Stanley Kubrick did anything in his movies unintentional. It shows how war dehumanizes people. For those men in war, enemy is just the guys you have to kill, women are just the fun you have inbetween deadly battles and well, life is just a bitch and then you die.

  • Great movie. I remember watching this as a kid and thinking it was so boring. Not a lot of action, no war heroes, no glorious final battle. But I watched it again recently and was blown away. And that is what FMJ does so well, it portrays the reality of war and especially the unfortunate reality of the Vietnam War. The movie has some dark humor and doesn't avoid showing the tragedies of battle so if you are looking for a feel-good shoot em up war movie, look elsewhere.

  • @ItsMeLegit No glorious final battle? The final battle was so fucking intense I do not know what you were watching?

  • me so hoany, me love you long time!

  • I'm 19 years old. I have no say to what's right or wrong about this. I was tought that the government is nothing but shit and the second thing my mom told me to do is to stay outta people's business.

  • @therealTaichiYagami well i'd have to ask u for one thing why u found it boring because like me I too am not one for war movies except the few acceptions (like this one). i too just saw the movie recently, but to answer your question, I like the fact that it gives you a more realistic view of how boot camp and war really changes you, or the fact that it actually explained why we fought in Vietnam.(which many might not know why)....oh and the soundtrack was good too lol

  • that motherfuckin sniper..

  • During filming, a family of rabbits were accidentally killed. Stanley Kubrick, an animal lover, was so upset that he canceled the rest of the day's work.

  • can I ask a question without getting flamed to death? I have heard for serval years all of the hype about this movie and how awesome it was. I finally this week just watched it for the first time and was so unbelievably disappointed.

Im not trying to hate on it I just thought it was excessively boring. Can I ask what did you guys actually like about this movie, what to you made it good?

  • thumbs up if pickleboy brought you here

  • @Mejsem you terrorist sympathising communist fucking piece of shit, the only reason you are able to talk shit on the internet is because of the USA and her allies, join the fucking army and then come back to me and say we kill innocents. You're a coward and a conspirist, no one will ever listen to you and those that do will make no difference.

  • @Hobbzie02 Of course the US military killed, and is killing, innocents. Shitloads of them. It always happens in war. That's why it's so important to do everything possible to not go to war in the first place.

  • @3rdAutisticCuckoo yes I agree with you completely but I believe you've read this out of context, he is trying to state that we are going to war for the purpose of killing innocents which we obviously are not.

  • @Hobbzie02 Try telling that to the families of the victims and see if it makes them feel better.

  • @3rdAutisticCuckoo good point but there are casualties in every war, terrorist groups kill civies just to kill civies, NATO does not do that, war is awful but is sometimes necessary to ensure peace later on (now your opinion on that may vary as war is the opposite of peace), and often leads to less deaths than there would have been originally.

  • @Hobbzie02 And sometimes war is necessary for a president's profiteering pals to make billions and billions of dollars.

  • R. Lee Ermey's character is such a meanie in this movie, yet he is a nice guy in real life.

  • full metal alchemist's better

  • does this mean ann margarets not coming?

  • Fuck the USA

  • @Mejsem FUCK YOU! ur spitting on the flag so get out of the fucking country u al quaeda taliban piece of shit!

  • @linkincarnated First of all, I dont even live in The fucked up country, second, of course I spit on the flag. Just look what USA have done to the world. So FUCK YOU and your people killing country...

  • @Mejsem, obvious troll is obvious.

  • @Mejsem Well it seems quite apparent that you need to take a stepback and look at shit. The United States does NOT intend to kill innocent people but when they wear the same clothing as the enemy due to the enemy not having any kind of symbol or uniform its going to turn into if their lives could be at risk they will do what they need to do to defend themselves and their squad and if applicable the innocent people behind the soldiers will be protected as well. SO GO FUCK YOUR OWN FACE BITCH!!!!!

  • @Mejsem No sir, fuck YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LoveCowboyBoots Why? for what reson? Do you really support you country when they kill innocent people? I know there are good people in US who is against the US government. But then there are pices of shit like you who's manipulated by the US government. Just think about that you manipulated shit.

  • @Mejsem Rot in hell.

  • @Mejsem why dont u just set yourself on fire in pakistan and go swimming you paki monkey ball duster

  • @linkincarnated Haha you fucking brainwashed moron.

  • @linkincarnated Where the fuck did you get Pakistan from? I'm not even from there you usless piece of shit. Why dont you go join the US army and kill innocent childeren and women like most of the soldiers do, that way you will be more hated than you are now.

  • @Mejsem if i ever find u in the US border, i will rip ur fucking throat out and pour petrol in ur body and set it on fire u fucking communist piece of SHIT

  • @Mejsem Shut the fuck up. You better hope that no one ever finds you in a dark alley, cause they'll rip out your own spinal cord and strangle you with it.

  • @linkincarnated You just proved how racist Americans are.

  • @Mejsem This guy probably just lives in the USA and his just a troll

  • is that u john wayne?

  • They're paying for it you eat it!

  • A lot of that dialogue made no sense. Now that's a war film!

  • I wish they had the part where Payback says "I was in the shit". Because right after that was the big firefight and then the LT's speech. Then Joker says "Sir, does this mean that Ann Margret's NOT coming?" and gets sent out into the shit. That sequence was one of the best parts in the whole movie.

  • i wish i could go to war. war is cool.

  • @ExNihiloJimmy War is not cool, War kills people, War brings death and destruction, War destroys lives, but sadly, it is a part of this world, no normal person wants war, but sometimes it is necessary to go to war do defend and protect this great country, I know people who have gone to war, it is nothing pretty, there is NOTHING good about war, YOU don't know war....

  • @XXTHE12THMANXX pussy

  • @ExNihiloJimmy I am not a pussy, I am a human being, unlike you.

  • @ExNihiloJimmy its also apparent that you watch too many movies and you play too much Call Of Duty...

  • @XXTHE12THMANXX Shit has nothing to do with games or movies, I've wanted to go in the army since I was 8years old, I'm born as a Soldier and going when I turn 17

  • @TheQwik1 I wan't to get into the Marine Core ROTC program to go through OCS, BTW you have to be 18 to go to basic, quit clearly you don't have any family members that have been in the military like I have. My dad is a retired Marine officer who went into the flight school, he has lost friends in training accident's therefore me saying war is not Glamorous it is bloody and horrible, but sometimes we have to go to war to solve our international problems, screw your head back on idiot!

  • @XXTHE12THMANXX Hey, I'm from Canada and here you can join at 16 cause my brother is in!

  • @TheQwik1 Oh cause I live in the United States you have to be 18 in the United States to get into the military and isn't Canada pulling all there troops out of the middle east?

  • @XXTHE12THMANXX I think they will keep them some more years.

  • @TheQwik1 Hey I'm from Somalia where you can join at 8. Can't wait - only 2 more years to go for me.

  • I think this part actually was weaker then the training camp part. Still good thow

  • classic

  • Full Metal Jacket 2 Marines in Fallujah

  • yall niggas gay

  • no shit sandwich what the hell

  • The hell that was the 'nam...Such a sacrifice. Such a pointless war. Great film though.

  • semper fi

  • i loved this movie because unlike other vietnam movies (which im not saying are bad) all of the actual fighting took place in one mission...platoon and apocolypse now(both still very good movies) show the shit soldiers go through in the long term...but this only really had one mission and it was a nightmare which does portray the fact that every day is a struggle

  • How the fuck was R. Lee Ermey not given an Oscar, Emmy, Tony, Silver Star, medal of freedom, whatever, for his unforgetable turn as the DI from hell?

  • That you John Wayne? is this me?

  • They shoulda raped that gook bitch while she was writhing on the ground. Would have brought her great shame and them great pleasure. 2 birds in 1 stone.

  • @bostonewyork1 wtf dude really?

  • "Inside every gook, is an American..." Yeah, at 20 bucks a pop!

  • this trailer does the film no justice

  • @sk8kyd Well, the art of the trailer has developed a lot over the last 25 years. It's a lot easier to cut a trailer when you have digital editing software. Check the original trailers from your favourite 80's movies, and I think you'll find them underwhelming too.

  • stanley rocks but remember that most of his movies are based on novels, so i give credit to the writers as well

  • @SUMBACATA the 2001 a space odessey novel was actually written after thee movie. funny eh?

  • o1 of tehe best war/vietnam movies ever fucking class and funny!!

  • but think about suicide, never quit, never quit on your life, live as much as you can and live it well, dont waste it, you only get one

  • Are you John Wayne?

  • @AGSMAentretainment check out the movie Apocalypse Now, thats related to the black ops campaign

  • Suicide is painless, It brings on many changes and I can take or leave it if I please

  • How is this related to Fallout 3?

  • Activision should hire the writers of this movie to make a decent CoD game.

  • Comment removed

  • is this about the tet offensive?

  • @mrnosy1 I think so, not sure. The vietnamese didn't win a single battle during the Tet Offensive, yet the propoganda effect combined with the Anti-American liberal media made it seem like a victory. Then again, Vietnam is the last country I'd want to fight a guerilla war in. There is a cave system that is large enough to fit the empire state building which is invisible from the jungle surface. With various countries supplying the insurgency. Not a good recipe.

  • @Andrew33416 Yeh, your right and thats why i have a problem with this movie... It doesnt portrey the true harshness of guerilla warfare in vietnam... FMJ focuses mainly on urban warfare which doesnt portrey the harshness and techniques of the viet-cong. TBH i prefer the deer hunter to FMJ because it focuses on the jungle warfare and life vs death situations. If you havent seen the deer hunter yet, its amazing.

  • Best war movie ever.

  • im a bit disappointed that sgt hartman isnt in the trailer

  • @wbauer131 same here

  • @bassplayer1o1 What do you think?

  • @lb8068 i have no clue how this is related to fallout 3

  • all of Stanley Kubrick's films are awesome but are undersold by their trailers!

  • I remember watching this with my brother on HBO back in the 80s, eating the original tastier doritos, and dominos pizza. Hell, everything in the 80s was better.

  • @aponorth except for its music that was bad

  • 60 vietnamese have seen this video

  • @tigernud why's there some queer comment like this on every video.

  • This is a good movie but I like Platoon better. Maybe because the men in my family were all in the Army, not the Marines. But this is still a good movie

  • soldiers would rather bomb murder women& children 1000 murders each man- bc hes too coward to shoot his officer- bullies pick on weaker-whether at war or at home- women& children nations are coming soon-priests will probably bless the "troops" (men teens) to attack/murder & drag women/kids back to mens war nations-for their sexrapes & to produce more soldiers for priests wars

  • @lmollot troll

  • i love Stanley Kubrick's films. from A Clockwork Orange to the Shining. i'll definitely need to check this one out.

  • @aidenmccloskey hell i like em even from good ol spartacus... one better then the other!

"check out" fmj all you like, but watch out for SWASTIKA CURLS!

  • @aidenmccloskey

YES! Please see it, it's a brilliant film. I'm also a fan of Kubrick, and this is one of my favorites from him.

  • @AwesomeScaryStudios i did. i saw it the other day man. i was expecting a different movie. probably a war movie with more action. i'm not the kind of person who's a lover of action movies, but i really do enjoy watching WWII action scenes, but to be fair - it was probably more realistic than other war films i've seen. i enjoyed it nonetheless.

  • @aidenmccloskey man! you should watch it. its fucking mineblowing!

  • @lolaf0892 i eventually seen it last month. it's definitely a unique war movie.

  • @aidenmccloskey this is my favorite kubrick film

  • @aidenmccloskey From ACO to The Shining?

Try Killer's Kiss to Eye's Wide Shut.

  • @MasterHandINC thanks. i'll keep that in mind when looking for a film to watch in the future.

  • @aidenmccloskey Paths of Glory is one of my favorite Kubrick films.

  • Son, all I've ever asked of my marines is to obey my orders as they would the word of God. In a movie chalked full of great dialogue, most of it rightfully attributed to Ermey, this is one of my favorite lines.

  • Am I the only one who likes the Vietnam part more than training?

  • @Stiny114 its actually england... near britain! a whooo!

  • this is a horrible trailer. Theres no clip from the training camp, which made this movie a classic.

  • best war movie ever! extremely realistic

  • @beaglebbgun platoon is

  • Poppingsanta if you were in nam which I highly doubt you take that up with vincent and R. Lee Ermey

  • @seth5220

You don't have to have been in the Vietnam war to know that alot of stuff in this movie is bullshit, stupid and would never be used.

    Btw,

You have to press the reply button for me to know that you've written a message to me.

  • Popping santa kill yourself

  • This truly is one of the "shitiest" war movies I have ever seen !

The first half is at best O.K, nothing else.

Vincent D'Onofrio, the man that plays Lawrence in the movie is either a terrible actor or he got some really bad advice from the idiot that made this movie.

This movie is full of terrible acting and unrealistic behavior. If they had a military advisor for this movie he probably had less combat experience than me and I have only watched movies, documentary's and played war games.

  • @PoppingSanta well its not really about war its about the mentalaty of a young soldier

    plus its a kuberick film

    what else can you expect

    hehe

  • @SombreroKing100

Platoon...now there's a good movie about how a war can change a soldier and how a young soldier works.

And then we have the real deal, Band of Brothers and The Pacific, in those series we get to know about the mentality of young soldiers.

And the "mental" parts of this movie were just as bad as the rest.

  • @PoppingSanta If you want Psychological, Apocalypse Now is probably supreme. Altough the exact details of the mission are entirely fiction, it outlines accurately how being in the Special Forces deteriorates ones ability to reconnect with society. But is it the jungle or the reaction of the society itself that does that? That was Conrad's question, and it can be said of this adaptation.

  • @TomoeNageX if an is supreme this must be the supremes...

plus this one has "black" ops instead just sfx... you just listen...

    its all in the movies...

  • @PoppingSanta Well you said you have never been in the military so you really don't have any say in this because 90% of war movies are unrealistic. Learn something about real movies with a message behind them.

  • @GoMuShA

    Hahah "real movies"?

    All movies are real.

And no, I might not have been in combat (I have however been in the military) but I can still identify bullshit when I see it.

  • @PoppingSanta Half of the script of part 1 was changed on suggestion of R. Lee Ermey, who was a Drill Sergeant during 'nam, and who interpreted Gunnery Sergeant Hartman. About part 2, I thought they had a military advisor, even if I'm not sure about that.

P.S: if you think that Band of Brothers can explicate you better the mind of a young Marine of the '70s by narrating you the story of Easy Company during Pacific War, your mind is screwed up beyond any repair.

  • @GuaranaClyde

I have no doubt about that the experience of Marine Bootcamp were something like that. What I was saying was that the acting of the fat guy was fucking terrible.

And I KNOW that many of the things they did in this movie during combat would never either be taught or used in combat

  • @GuaranaClyde

I said that Band of Brothers and The Pacific would be better if you wan't to see how different soldiers react to the terrible conditions surrounding them.

You're the one with the screwed up mind for thinking that I was mixing up 70's marines, WW2 Airborne troops and WW2 Marines.

  • ledzepp461 What does the Ann Margret line mean again? I know she was a Swedish film actress but I forget how that links in with the dialogue. Sorry, I haven't seen this film in a while.

  • @Transformers2themax She was supposed to be coming to the base for a show, maybe Bob Hope's, but the Tet offensive by the NVA and Viet Cong upset everything.

  • @dancinkindofguy Oh, yeah. That's right. I finally got to see it again. Has to be one the best and most realistic war film ever made equally next to Platoon.

  • @Transformers2themax Lee Ermey should have won an oscar for his performance. When I see Charley Sheen in Platoon, I keep expecting Alan and Jake to show up.

  • Gooks, kikes, spics, wetbacks, niggers, slants....whats the difference? They're all the same.

  • Gooks, kikes, spics, wetbacks, niggers, slants....whats the difference?

  • @hwycop957 Your comment is disappointing that people like you are still around.

  • y los subtitulos man?

  • The moronic smile of the fat guy and the "choke yourself" hilarity at the very beginning always had me screaming from laughter. One night I woke up all the block's neighbours.

  • @chillydog12345 k, thanks

  • the us embassy was never overrun thats what this movie is slimy leftist propaganda....the embassy was a fail attack where all the enemy 9 of them killed not getting in the building only out side perimeter minimal us casualties like 2 or 3....1 terr goit into an apartment complex and a diplomat killed his wounded ass Their mission was to plant bomb they failed. Bad fail All the attacks were repulsed druing tet either minimal to no ally casualties then counter attack mopped up nva forces

  • @deltapunk21 learn English. Secondly - are you seriously suggesting this movie is leftist propaganda?

  • Am I the only person who prefered the second half over the first one

  • I meant to say movie instead of mobie

  • I dont see why every body thinks this mobie is so great i didnt really like it i thought it was just a weird movie the only part i liked was the song painted black at the end

  • Lol isn't Full metal Jacket FMJ on MW2??

  • You had best square your ass away and start shitting me Tiffany cufflinks or I will definitely fuck you up!

  • love the hard training in the beginning <3 . makes me wanna join the army

  • "Inside every GOOK,...is an American trying to get out!" Phenomenal!

  • This trailer doesn't even come CLOSE to doing the movie justice.

  • Probably the best war movie since... ever?

  • this is how it looks:

    no kubrick - no fullmetaljacket

no fullmetaljacket - no idea for cod blackops game

no blackops game - no fun

    no fun - suicide

  • @killercwyl I can perfectly live without CoD: Blackops. 'part from that, who told you that Full Metal Jacket inspired BO? I don't see how they're connected.

  • @killercwyl don't use suicide so loosely asshole. its not something to bullshit about.

  • @TheGothims A reference the the MASH theme song

  • @TheGothims Statistics might disagree with that...but, whatever.

  • @killercwyl Actually, Full Metal Jacket is a type of bullet cartridge, so chances are the "FMJ" attachment would have stayed in CoD regardless.

Anyway, Call of Duty could've done fine without one lousy attachment, do you think that that's really going to change whether the game is developed or not?

Furthermore, you shouldn't joke about suicide. It's an idea so many people think about for so many serious reasons. A lot of people will be offended by that comment, including me.

  • @killercwyl In my hometown, three young guys committed a mass suicide, think about how the families of those people would feel if they read that comment...

  • @lb8068 i was talking about bullshit like "oh what if i do if this etc"nothing serious so sorry if you get me wrong but its nothing serious just a comment
