Nexus one has OLED screen which is very practical, and the iphone is too heavy . Poor iPhone has no flash plugin for browsing and no flash for the camera, Nexus one clearly boots faster, Has a better processor, removable battery, 720p HD video > than iPod. Be careful make sure you hold your iphone properly or else you might loose reception. Android phones win.

What's funny is that my iPhone 3GS smoked both of those phones. My 3GS took 16 seconds to boot up, I don't think that was a 3GS, more like a 3G and it still booted up just as fast as the nexus one lol.that's to be expected though, I mean android is just a bulkier OS, iPhone OS is very slim.

The Nexus one has a 1 Ghz Processor vs the iPhone's 660Mhz Processor, so obviously it should have a faster boot time depending on RAM speed and size of the OS (how much data it has to load into the RAM). Nexus lacks multi-touch, which I would like to see, possibly with a later update. And people, why is everyone so uptight because one boots faster than the other? @f35caleb Nexus does not lack multi-touch. The hardware supports it, problem is that Apple has registered in USA its multi-touch with iPhone, so Google can't release it in the country. There are web browsers applications and some others that work with multi-touch.
It is expected for the european version of Nexus One to have multi-touch enabled from the very start.
Yes, almost any touchscreen hardware today has the capability to do so, I was simply making the point that the US model lacks it (due to whatever reason). The motorola droid supports multi-touch, so I don't know why the Nexus one does not. But for whatever reason it may be, google and/or HTC decided not to include it... not yet anyways. Maybe so they can release it in a later model as an upgrade? Kind of like Apple did the iPhone.
every android phone does, its a patent issue with apple (who again thinks they invented something before others). the patent is only us legal, so thats why google cant have it included in default apps, but any 3rd party can. Dolphin browser for example lets you pinch zoom on any android phone without root or any hacking needed.
It's like comparing Win XP with Mac OS X Snow Leopard ! Iphone obviously is slow cause it was launched one year ago, but even with that, it makes Nexus One shiver on performance... hardware isn't everything, and Android still needs more work.

To start off. I don't see why, there is even a discussion about this being a new "iPhone Killer" there wasn't an old "iPhone Killer." the boot time isnt even a second behind so what does that matter? i own both and they both are good. the iphone feels like it is better built while the nexus feels very fragile, but the nexus has some different features that i like that i wish i could have on the iphone. they are two different companies =. what do you people expect? them to be the same? each company has different resources. an its just a phone get over it.

The Nexus one has a 1 Ghz Processor vs the iPhone's 660Mhz Processor, so obviously it should have a faster boot time depending on RAM speed and size of the OS (how much data it has to load into the RAM). Nexus lacks multi-touch, which I would like to see, possibly with a later update. And people, why is everyone so uptight because one boots faster than the other? There are more important things in this world than calling someone a dickwad because he like the iPhone. Personal prefs, seriously

@f35caleb Nexus does not lack multi-touch. The hardware supports it, problem is that Apple has registered in USA its multi-touch with iPhone, so Google can't release it in the country. There are web browsers applications and some others that work with multi-touch.
It is expected for the european version of Nexus One to have multi-touch enabled from the very start.

Yes, almost any touchscreen hardware today has the capability to do so, I was simply making the point that the US model lacks it (due to whatever reason). The motorola droid supports multi-touch, so I don't know why the Nexus one does not. But for whatever reason it may be, google and/or HTC decided not to include it... not yet anyways. Maybe so they can release it in a later model as an upgrade? Kind of like Apple did the iPhone.

every android phone does, its a patent issue with apple (who again thinks they invented something before others). the patent is only us legal, so thats why google cant have it included in default apps, but any 3rd party can. Dolphin browser for example lets you pinch zoom on any android phone without root or any hacking needed.

If you tested it, then you would know that it actually isn't even half as bad as you say it is. I admit the screen isn't as good as the Iphones ,but it's a damn good screen, nonetheless. Open Source is a great advantage, unless the closed source operating system has over 5 times the amount of apps available. i really do love android as much as the iPhone OS, but i think some of the UI elements need improvement. i agree about the nexus one being a better phone though. with twice the processor speed and ram, the hardware is unmatched.
