  • No brains Big mouth

  • Can't believe this clown was talking shit about Kevin Garnett. Calling him a weak, complimentary, fake tough guy. Bullshit. KG achieved more in his career than Oakley EVER did. KG won an NBA MVP award. He won an NBA championship. He made 14-straight all star games. Oakley did NONE of that. Made it to ONE all-star game. smh. Don't ever call someone who blew your achievements out of the water, a soft player. That just displays BITTERNESS.

  • awesome camera angle at 2:41

  • the knicks need to retire his jersey

  • Oaks and Mase. Thats a D that would make teams soil themselves. That was a D that served up delicious elbow to the face.

  • too much raptor highlights dawg, oakley was a knick dude!

  • THE BEST DEFENSIVE POWER FORWARD EVER.

  • @leagueleader47 ever heard of that second round draft pick with asthma, from southeastern oklahoma state university???

  • @leagueleader47 - according to M. Jordan, Oakley was the best defender against him. MJ practically scored at will with Oakley on the opposing team screening out Ewing so MJ can have a free lane to the basket. Oak was a joke.

  • oakley is a LOSER. never won anything for being so ugly and worshiping MJordan. he gave MJ a semi-hard foul and apologized profusely afterwards.

  • a Wal*Mart greeter broke his hand when he slapped Oak's ugly face

  • a Wal*Mart beat the crap out out this Big LOSER Oakley.

And Oak allowed Barkley to slap him around. tsk tsk

  • Oak doesn't look right in any other uniform except that NY baby

  • Oak never backed down from Muggsy Bogues or Bob Cousy (yes, Oak is that old). Did u see Oak inflict a hard foul on Otis Thorpe during the Finals? nada amigos. Oak "picked & chose" who he gave hard fouls too...... just like Li' Floydie Mayweather Jr. -hahaha

  • OAKLEY has no rings and Knicks had no chance with Oak giving MJ red carpet treatment to the basket. He even blocked out his Knick teammates so they can't get to MJ. A few times, Oak gave MJ sanitized semi-hard fouls so it wouldn't look too obvious. BTW, a Mall Cop beat the crap out of Oak or was it a bell hop?

  • This man is a huge part of the reason the Raptors ever had a degree of success (2001). Without him, Vince didn't keep himself in shape

  • Ahh the days when the NBA was a man's game... Oakley's a boss...

  • imagine chris bosh playing against oakley

  • Charles Oakley is so cool that he should play Samuel L. Jackson in a movie.

  • It would take nearly 3 or 4 guys his size to keep Charles Oakley from getting rebounds at both ends of the floor, but it still wouldn't make no difference Charles Oakley will find a way to get that rebound one way or another. He was grabbing rebounds like there was no tomorrow.

  • this moa fucka right now man

  • OAKLEY was the man. He gave up no lay ups, he would straight foul cats hard as hell, and they wouldnt do shit! lol. his jumpshot was nice, he rebounded without having great hops. i feel previledged to have watched him play for the knicks. when the knicks had oakley, mason, and mcdaniel...that frontline was serious! i loved it.

  • Man Oakley was the man, I wish the Knicks had a guy like him today.....Patrick was great but Oaktree was the heart of that defense.......

  • if i ever had a bulldog id name him oakley

  • CHARLES OAKLEY=HEAD NIGGA IN CHARGE!

  • defines BADASS

  • I'm named after him my name is Oakley

  • 2:42 One of the nicest behind the back dishes i`ve ever seen.

  • That backwards pass he did @ 2:43 was incredible! He was always one of my favorite Knicks!

  • The heart of the Knicks!!

  • Terry Cruz?

  • He was the heart and soul of New York.

  • I'm a 40+ year NBA fan, and Charles Oakley is one of my favorite players ever. He was a real "blue collar" athlete. He gave 100% every game. He wasn't afraid to mix it up with the big boys, but he wasn't a dirty player, either. I think he was one of the best power forwards of his era. On the Knicks, Patrick Ewing got most of the publicity (deservedly so), but real NBA fans knew how important Oakley was to the success of the team, too.

  • @ftsjr starks is still my favorite player.. used to love the mid-90s knicks.. riley and van gundy era.. starks, ewing, oakley, mason, even derek harper with his gheto stache.. sick emotion.. i remember i wanted them to win in 94 against the rockets so bad... i liked mid to late nineties heat when riley went over there.. the heat had swag with alonzo and timmy emotion but they were always a poor version of the mid-90s knicks

  • @Iknowhowtospellsorta Knowing how much you liked Starks, this isn't easy to say. But in the 94 Rockets series, Starks should've been benched in the third quarter of game 7. After an awesome game 6, Starks went 2-18 in the last game. Riley had Rolando Blackman on the bench, but he stuck with Starks. I've been a fan of the Knicks since 1969 (I was 12). Near the end of 94, game 7, I wanted to reach thru the TV screen and strangle Riley, for not inserting Blackman, when he saw that Starks was cold.

  • @ftsjr Well said and I concur with you.

  • sick mix man

  • beautiful pass by LJ at 2:04

  • toughest sob ever

  • Vince Carter would be twice the player he is now if he bothered to learn toughness from Charles.

  • I dont think i ever saw Oak miss a 15 foot jumper.

  • I think Charles Oakley would be the only player in the league who would not be scared to challenge Lebron's steamroller drives to the hoop if he still played today. That would be fun to watch. Today's superstars don't earn their status, it's given to them by the media and protected by today's "light" officiating.

  • Wow, he hit some open jumpers and fouled people!! What a career!!! Nothing but a thug!! Not half the player Horace Grant was........

  • @tobyw232323 Ok, I will bite troll. Have you ever looked at Oakley's rebounds, assists and steals vs. Grant? Besides the actual numbers, what player ever lost sleep over having to bang in the paint with Horace the next day? >>> 0

  • not only a defender-great jum shot, great passer also

  • the only player who worked harder than Oak was Rodman

  • No one sacrificed their body more than the oak man to save the ball from going out of bounds by diving on the floor from a high distance. Most men would be crying, The Oak man cried tears of joy!

  • all these current players as your duncun's bryant's pierce's got better once players such as Oakley, Barkley, Olajuwon left the league. All people have to do is look at the stats during the same year

  • i love OAK

  • I met Charles Oakley yesterday at The raptors game against pistons

really a nice guy i got a picture and an autograph

  • Once Oak left Toronto, Vince became a jump shooter.

    ... love Oaks game!

  • this video gave Tyrone Hill a heart attack

  • As a Bulls fan -- I loved this guy. He deserves all the credit he gets.

  • yeah its sad to se the NBA go so soft its like they think people wont watch if they see big niggas acting tough or playing hard and fouling niggas driving the lane oakley owned the lane and noone came to the hoop and left in one peice..he fouled clean and hard no whats wrong with that??nothing the NBA and STern a pussys that ruined the game and they wonder whynoone wathces

  • @xdevelopingminds1by1 i guesss today's league is supposed to be more marketable. I much prefer the days of REAL DEFENSE where players EARNED their buckets. Every team needs a no bs guy like Oak.

  • The NBA has made it so that agressive power forward types like Oakley are nowadays obsolete.

  • Boy can do I have alot details about and opinions on what you just said..

    The Def 3 secs

    The HANDCHECK rule

The NBA protecting their star players...

The NBA not allowing aggressive play no more... even though recently they are allowing it....

And the more attention to promting perimeter players has made the league less enjoyable than it was back in the 80s even though I never grew up in the 80s but I know those were great times and the 90s....

  • "Oak Tree"

  • ain't nothing to it gangsta rap made me do it

  • i LOVED the way this guy played. Hard at both ends of the floor. gave everything he had.ONE OF THE TOUGHEST MEN EVER IN THE NBA!

  • You are a fucking dumbass. Show some respect to an NBA legend. He would kick your scrawny ass back to the fucking suburbs of orange county.

  • Okay, maybe that was a little harsh. But your comment was flat out arrogant. Read az's comment below.

  • he played in the real basketball era, blue collar ballin, WhO ever wanted the most got it. nuthin flashy just play to win and do what you got to do.

  • Players like Gasol would be dead if they were guarded by Oakley.

  • Comment removed

  • @etherodromos Actually, I think Oakley would have a hard time guarding Gasol. Gasol is considerably longer and quicker than Oakley. Oakley was an enforcer, a good rebounder and intimidator. But he was a good not a great defender. And Gasol always gets his it seems.

  • David Stern will make sure the refs take Oakley out of the game in the first quarter.

  • @etherodromos hEY MAN, UR COMMENT CAUGHT ME BY SURPISE !!! OR IS IT REALLY!! HAHAHA I ALMOST DIED LAUGHIN !!!!

  • his face says all over : ''if you get near me, you're dead" muhaha

  • Elladara comment!

  • if they're was a full team of oakleys they would've been badder than the bad boys pistons

  • No one was tougher....He and Mason set the tone for those Knick teams that were tough as nails! The ultimate enforcer...

  • rthx for sharing !!! he is the best in chichago because jordan is so angry when bull trade him off it shows that he is how important to our 'god' jordan

  • Charles Oakley is by far one of the best Power Forwards defender and rebounder in NBA history.

He takes no bullshit from no one!!!

  • charles oakley never backed down from nobody that's why they called him oak tree he took no BULL from nobody he was a thug on the court.

  • oakley is a thug!

we need more players like him bRING BACK THE CONTACT!!!

  • well u got ben wallace for that

  • No one threw better outlet passes.

  • enforcer

  • his nephew curtis is a baller. 6'2" freshman forward with a great jumper plays varsity for brush high school in south euclid, ohio.

  • how much is his card i got his card

  • OAK 4EVER!

They changed the rules after Oak put

his stamp down in the NBA!

    Good post Thanks!

  • He is my favorite all time nba player, NO ONE had more courage , guts, fire and intensity.

6'9" 245 rock solid, wasnt athletic and couldnt jump, but was a physical bear out on the court, the effort he gave was beyond ridiculous

  • OakDawg will always be "The Enforcer"

    Oak Vs Rick Mahorn

    Oak Vs Xavier Mcdaniel

    Oak slapped Tyrone Hill

    Oak Vs Shaq

  • Are any of those fights here on YT ?

  • Try NBA Fights

    I watched Bulls vs Knicks

    and Suns vs Knicks.

  • dont forget oak tree vs barkley

  • Havent seen that one on here yet!

  • lol yeah, he tossed barkley to the ground like an angry dad scolding his kid and barkley just lied there, cowering under the power of the oak. he was always intimidated by oakley.

  • wow that assist at 2:47, didn't know oak could pass like that lol

  • "Charles Oakley is beyond gully." -Charles Oakley

Definitely my favorite quote anyone has ever said about anything or anyone...ever

  • OAKLEY BABY

  • Aint no motherfucker tougher than Oak

  • This guy was the #1 badass. Nobody was tougher than him.

  • For me the best forward ever!

  • great mix homie!! That makes me miss the days when the knicks wore the "hardest" team back in the 90s.Short on talent but pure heart and fire on the court.

  • sick assist haha

  • Oakley is good.

    Oakley jest zajebisty. ;]

  • oh man, i´ve waited so long for an oak vid. thanks a lot!

    he´s my favorite basketball player

  • Love The Oak Man! his number 34 should be retired up on the MSG rafters.the knicks would have never been prominent without him. If Ewing comes back as an assistant then Oak should be there too.

  • Oakley with the sweeet look at 2:42

  • thanks/

  • Ice Cube - Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It
