@suntronics I saw several helicopters floating above Roraima when I was there, so it is very possible for you to do that, however, expect it to be fairly expensive, or prepare to split the trip with others. Personally, I used the company Backpacker Tours in Santa Elena de Uairén, close to Mount Roraima (The base for most travellers setting out for the mountain), and I have actually never experienced such good, friendly and effective service. The manager Eric (A German guy) was extremely helpful!

@raineepoops Hey there, you should absolutely, positively, without any doubt in your mind do the trek. It is almost to incredible to comprehend. Check my channel for a slideshow of my trip, just for inspiration. The savannah, the fresh water springs, the awesome scenery, the climb to the top, the weird, wicked rock formations on the top, the silence, the feeling of being on another planet. No question about it, DO the trek! I did it with Backpacker tours, the most awesome tour company:)

This video actually was my direct inspiration to go to Venezuela in 2008. Today, I have been to India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, China, Colombia, USA, Ecuador/Galapagos and Peru, and still, Venezuela holds a very special place inside me. The diversity in nature, scenery and animallife is unparalleled here. Absolutely beautiful country. I wish i could meet Mr. Attenborough to express my admiration, and tell him what his work ment to me.

Enough with this bs. Most of Mount Roraima is in Venezuela, but a part of it is in Brazil. And yes, Roraima is the name of a brazilian state.

@MsFernandes2010 Roraima is a flat mountain located in most part in Venezuelan territory (almost 85% of the mountain is on Venezuela) And the remain part is on Brazil and Guyana territory...And you can only get to the top by the Venezuela side...
