  • Maybe he renovated the house and your company wouldn't dispatch a tech to reattach it....

  • @johndaniels1234

It wasnt Aerial cable with messenger. It was cable that was purchased. If you renovate your home you do not remove the drop from the pole, you remove it from the house and then just rehang.

Also- He wasnt a customer.. so.....

  • instead of stealthing it, that clown should have thrown service tags on the drop

  • @cabletool i remember doing that at a job clearnly stealing cable i just cut the line threw it back to his yard and left , the funny thing was they were watching me hook up cable next door ! Im rick james bitch!

  • I saw one that was inhouse white.

  • i imagine the guy that did that was a telephone guy, ran his own tele drop and just taped it to it on the ground, i've done this with rg6/11 and outdoor cat5e. works great except i prefer to use the strong ty wraps...

  • nice job! he even made a weather loop!

  • they even put in a service loop too much time on there hands hell a guy i worked with used in house zip ties and ground wire to make aerial line

  • I think its funny that TWC fired me for doing the same thing you just did....filmed while up in the air....LOL they said I release proprietary information by showing the house, and that it was a saftey violation to be filming while working. watch your back!

  • Actually they are getting basic in this area, at that time ( two years ago) they were getting full standard service as well.

Aside from that, we dont need the extra noise in the system. Unauthorized connections should be removed to keep the node as noise free as possible.

  • should have left it. I did mine right and had it tagged and on for 20 years. With everything digital now who cares who has a tap they arent even getting basic... Well her in michigan. once I moved i had to help the tech run the line! Do i miss those days

  • I didnt make contact. I was at the tap working for the neighbor behind them. I just cut it back to the tape and termed the ports.

  • ive seen some good ones but none that good. did he tell ya it was that way when we moved in?

  • I really hope the guy who set that up didn't get in any trouble. I can see the street from where he hung the cable.

  • jeez, what some customers will do to save a few bucks.

  • Yep... that is a first.

  • so what, did they split someones cable and then hook there own for free?

  • i give the guy credit. thats one of the better cable theft set ups i have seen.

  • Probably whoever did this is stealing cable because I don't see a tag on the wire. Makes me wonder if there is a pirate box inside the residence.

  • lol at least he didnt tape it to the electrical phase wire :d

  • @c0rrupts3ct0r555 I've actually seen a drop electrical taped to that... I was honestly a bit afraid to disconnect it, but I did, and cut it. Then terminated the open ports. Honestly wish we still used the security sleeves. Because some jackass might attempt it again, by using a Radio Shack Splitter for the customer legitimately paying for cable.

  • If I saw that I would definately leave it!!! Props to somebody willing to get up the pole and do that!!!! Amazing!! I would ask him if I could just hang it a little better for him and if his picture was okay or if I should just run a new one for him!!! Cable tv is like $19/month for basic cable!! This guy probly spent...mmm....$70 for cable and around $40 for tools to put the fittings on!!! And who knows how long it took and he could have gotten hurt!!!! LMAO!!!

  • thats not rg11 it rg6 and that was funny what system is that comcast..

who are u are are u QCing that job

  • Hey the folk that used to digg there gardens and cut through cable, kept me in work.I was the repull team for a while.some crews used to go around cutting cable, obviously on the easy pulls.lol

  • so that sorta thing is so much of a big deal to you that you recorded it lol? just cut the shit down and get on with you route.

  • come watch my day in the life of a cable guy,if you want more comment

  • Not a "big deal" but in 16 years Ive never seen someone electrical tape 100' of cable to 100' of aerial phone line. You have to admit that has to be a first.

  • @cabletool That was a very creative way to hide an aerial. That probably looked invisible from the ground.

  • @cabletool it woul be a big deal to me the stuff you see out here

  • That's insane! $230. Holy smokes you're in Beverly Hills watch?v=C26iKtPYrcc

  • looks like RG 11 cable.I cant believe the americans install cable tv in the air on poles. We pull it through ducts and dig the gardens here.LOL

  • It depends on the area, most of the time it is on poles, others are buried or on a pedestal.

  • depends on what neighborhood you live in....poor, you get arieal with all outlets housewrapped....rich, you get underground with all wall-fished outlets...

  • @dwphillips09 it's not really between rich and poor. It just depends on where you live. I've seen nice homes with the aerial, and i've seen crappy homes without.

  • @pbcmbeez22 sometimes its that way...but i work for the cable system in my town and i can tell u for the most part that the nicer neighborhoods get everything buried and their cable outlets are ran through the attic and wall fished.

  • at 2 seconds.Was that a service loop??

  • hey at least he kinda put in a drip loop

  • whoevers system is this it sucks. Shitty motorola taps. Noise generating piece of shit with old ass MC cable. Way to go cable vision.

  • Looks like one of cablevision's contractors to me. Who gives a crap though. Just one more TC for me!

  • If it dont follow power into the residence it aint right.

  • LOL!!! Looks like a contractor install to me!

  • Does the cable work? Does it look neat? Who cares then.

  • Well, its illegal. So I care. And the person living next to them paying 230.00 a month cares.

  • Were they ordering porns and then the neighbours getting charged for it? HAHA!

  • @cabletool $230 a month? You like ripping people off?

  • @JawsJaws

They dont pay me 230.00 a month?

  • @YOLT69

I work for the cable company, we get a staff discount, but not free cable. Why should they get it and we can't?

They're hooked up for full cable, which would be roughly $60/m, that's $720/year they're stealing from the company. How is it different than walking into Best Buy, stealing a $700 tv and walking out the door?

  • @OpeAaron we dont have to pay to watch commercials at the best buy store

  • What filter einstein?

  • while you on the lader can you take the filter off the line and hook it up to open all the channels?

  • Thats COMCASTIC!

  • now thay probably have to move the wire cause some guy was lazy

  • thats how thay install cable in my town too
