As long as ur close enough to ur console, it will still show up, no matter what. Thats cool. Nintendo is experimenting with the 3ds, theyre gonna make it a good console.
I remember seeing this in a store catalogue (the 'Argos' store) years ago. If I remember right, the Gizmondo was in a small section underneath the Nintendo DS section on one of the catalogues pages. You had loads of Nintendo DS games, plus any Nintendo DS handheld console deals on this page... And right at the bottom of the page was the Gizmondo handheld console and "ONLY" 2 Gizmondo games!

i still am a nintendo fan, but only until gamecube. dude, i turn on my NES every day, i love that thing. whatever. 1. every modern portable has touchscreen including mobiles and ipods. i dont see the ripoff. 2. ipod has gyroscope too, however a much better one than the 3DS, so yes, id agree, its ripped off from the iphone, not the 3DS. minigaming using gyroscope-controls came on the iphone first. strike, dude, strike. @0M9H4X The DS came out in 2004. The iPhone was introduced in 2007. So it isn't JUST the 3DS in general. And the iPod doesn't have a touch screen, it has a scroll-wheel. The iPhone had a gyroscope, not the iPod. And also, the iPhone's gyroscope and the 3DS gyroscope are the same to me. And besides, the iPhone isn't even a gaming platform, so why are we talking about it?

2. Also, if you want to play Mario and Zelda games, go out, and get an NES, SNES, etc. and play the real deal. From personal experience, it is a lot funner than playing it illegally on a PSP.

I have plenty gaming hours in my gizmondo. Colors is a very addictive GTA clone, and some of the other game as well good. It's easy to hack, therefore it's also a Nintendo and Sega emulator. The battery life and the operation system is quite poor, but it's not as bad as they mentiioned. I'm sure the uploader not even tried gizmondo...
I have a gizmondo, and in its defence, some of the games that came out/ got leaked beta releases were pretty good. Colours was a GTA clone with gps capabilities for maps and finding other players. Trailblazer was quite addicting too.
The best part about the system now, is that its piss easy to hack for emulators and homebrew, so for anyone that cant afford a gp32x or something and can find a giz for cheap, its ok.
Just get spare batteries though, the battery life is shit.
I think you'll find that the more expensive Xbox360 at launch was actually called the "Premium", not the Elite.
The Elite came out later, was black, had a much larger harddrive and had a better built-in HD port (i dont remember exactly which format because I dont have a HD tv, so it didnt matter to me).

What you expect on a videogame console is a good and wide library of quality games ( The Gizmondo only had 14 games, none of them was a blast to play either ), good 3rd party support, a user friendly and powerful software and hardware for both game developers and consumers, a nice console and controller design, and a cheap or moderate price. Gizmondo failed in all those aspects, thus failing as a videogame console.

I still use mine to this day running mega-drive emulators master system nes snes gameboy etc etc. plus pics movies apps all that good stuff! for a handheld that you can buy so cheap now and run so much from SD cards its awesome. it was just a real pain for me to connect it to my win 7 64bit pc,
Just read the wiki pages the model 2 that unfortunately was never released and it intended to have wifi as well. IMO it would have put the DS to shame if it had the third party support and the CEO wasn't up to illegal activity's.

@gundamzerostrike The Xbox 360 was released on November 22, 2005, in the United States and Canada; December 2, 2005, in Europe and December 10, 2005. Most people got their 360 in 2006-2007. An old 360 living 3 years is great considering a lot of people had problems with theirs. I got mine in 2007 and it's still working. It's on 24/7.. Mostly because I don't feel like turning it off. Think before you compare a simple system like Nintendo 64 to a more complicated system that just released.
I think everything that has a built in web browser, like a PS3, should have Flash, Windows, Java, Real, and Quicktime already downloaded into the system.
The gps did work and does still work, It is even possable to get tomtom software running on it.
Smart ads was never activated, so there were no ads ever shown on the device, and if it was activated you could turn them off by putting it into flight mode.
but the best thing about the gizmondo though is the homebrew. it is easy to apply and it makes a great portable snes, mega drive, nes or whatever you want to emulate.
I remember Gizmondo being talked about in the pages of EGM. But I had no idea it was being advertised in NINTENDO POWER?!! IHad subscriptions to both mags too! Reminded me of Game.com.

The best part about the system now, is that its piss easy to hack for emulators and homebrew, so for anyone that cant afford a gp32x or something and can find a giz for cheap, its ok.
Just get spare batteries though, the battery life is shit.

I think you'll find that the more expensive Xbox360 at launch was actually called the "Premium", not the Elite.
The Elite came out later, was black, had a much larger harddrive and had a better built-in HD port (i dont remember exactly which format because I dont have a HD tv, so it didnt matter to me).

What you expect on a videogame console is a good and wide library of quality games ( The Gizmondo only had 14 games, none of them was a blast to play either ), good 3rd party support, a user friendly and powerful software and hardware for both game developers and consumers, a nice console and controller design, and a cheap or moderate price. Gizmondo failed in all those aspects, thus failing as a videogame console.

I still use mine to this day running mega-drive emulators master system nes snes gameboy etc etc. plus pics movies apps all that good stuff! for a handheld that you can buy so cheap now and run so much from SD cards its awesome. it was just a real pain for me to connect it to my win 7 64bit pc,

Just read the wiki pages the model 2 that unfortunately was never released and it intended to have wifi as well. IMO it would have put the DS to shame if it had the third party support and the CEO wasn't up to illegal activity's.

@gundamzerostrike The Xbox 360 was released on November 22, 2005, in the United States and Canada; December 2, 2005, in Europe and December 10, 2005. Most people got their 360 in 2006-2007. An old 360 living 3 years is great considering a lot of people had problems with theirs. I got mine in 2007 and it's still working. It's on 24/7.. Mostly because I don't feel like turning it off. Think before you compare a simple system like Nintendo 64 to a more complicated system that just released.

Some of the stuff in this video was not correct.
The gps did work and does still work, It is even possable to get tomtom software running on it.
Smart ads was never activated, so there were no ads ever shown on the device, and if it was activated you could turn them off by putting it into flight mode.
but the best thing about the gizmondo though is the homebrew. it is easy to apply and it makes a great portable snes, mega drive, nes or whatever you want to emulate.
