The Sequence, Sugar Hill Gang and other Sugar Hill Records acts, had great music production, distribution and exposure. Their beats were slammin' for their time. Straight up party stuff. When their lable got sold, their acts bit the dust. No gangster rap to be found here. Sylvia Robinson (Pillow Talk) was producer, performer and sequence member. She is also unsung. She is a female lesser version of Barry Gordy. I once called the lable and talked to company owner for an hour!

I never knew this was made, this is the first time I've seen the Sequence live. This is awesome, the one in the center is "Cheryl the Pearl", one of the first original spitters. She wrote for some of the greats of that day. She always spit some of the nicest line. Cheryl the Pearl, Sha Rock, Melle Mel and Spoonie Gee were the very first Queens & Kings of the mic and all belong in the top 50 greatest MC's of all times.
