Running style is no good for the CFL - - much less the NFL. Too upright and leaves himself open for big hits - - which is why he's always injured. If LBs in the CFL blow his shoulders out imagine what the LBs in the NFL would do.

I saw a video of him lifting his arm in the hallways to test his shoulder when it was hurt, and he didn't have a shirt on, he looked a little flabby. he is definately good enough tobe in the nfl but....he is way to injury prone and the nfl probably does not want to pay a 26 year old back with bad knees and a fucked up ankle . also im very sure that in his upcoming career he will be a star in the cfl but im pretty sure he wont go up to the nfl .

He's always injured because he's not in that great of shape. I saw a video of him lifting his arm in the hallways to test his shoulder when it was hurt, and he didn't have a shirt on, he looked a little flabby. I mean he's still a tank but im sure being more physically fit would help eliminate some of his injuries.

I'm a football player. I can tell you this guy is BAD !! His very low skilled, his cuts are extremely poor, He tends to put his head down and run directly into midfield opposition. (You're not suppost to do that !! ). He Isn't EVER going to play in the Nfl.

he is a good back, but he runs high and he isnt strong enough, im not hating but ive plaed pro ball and speed is great but he would be a better returner than a running back. Put it like this in the right scheme he would be great a back but if he has to pound, he wouldnt make it two yrs.

Brandon Jacobs is very big....but for a running back lumsden is quicker,is way more swifty and has better hands and lumsden does have a lot of power at 6'2 235.
Jacobs just runs straight because hes big. He does No Cuts, he is just power down the middle.
Oh yeah, one more thing If Ricky Williams can make it in the NFL i think lumsden can too

haha lets not bring ricky in here. lol i agree with you but dude the reason why brandon don't cut is because NFL defences are very quick and will easily be all over the runningback by the time he makes the move. it happens with all the runninbacks wether if they are the fastest one. and ohh yeaa brandon could cut pretty dirty, u gotta see some of his highlight videos. and we'll see but jesse will never be a starting runninback, first, his canadian and he doesnt have that quickness

THe reason why he is not in the NFL is cause this guy is Injury prone, he can't play more then 6 games. And when he does play, he carries the ball 3 times then back on the sideline hurt. The NFL scouts seen this a mile away and knew about it. He's great, but always hurt and always will get hurt.

That guy isn't anything special. He is one hell of a guy, with a good speed, but whenever he got a tackle he falls.. With a bad o-line he couldnt do anything, its the o-line who should be in the NFL imo.. Look, the most of the job is done by the o-line, incredible :)

yeah, mike alstott listed as one of the all time power runners in the nfl yet he was never the feature back for his team? that has to do with race, he was told if he wanted a scholarship at purdue he had to bulk up and play fb, imagine if he didnt have to add that weight he wouldve been a faster power runner, also look at peyton hillis now, hes doing well in denver despite having extra weight on him because he is bulked up to play fullback

he is not to slow, his forty time doesn't lit. Name some backs in the NFL with this size and speed. I know it is sad but he didn't make it into the NFL because he is white. The fact is that there are alot of good running backs that are white and don't go pro or get looked at by big colleges, and this is due to the fact that most coaches have a preconcieved notion that a white running back just won't be able to excel in the spotlight.

jesse lumsden belongs in the cfl. hes a hamilton native playing for his home team. the nfl is really hard to make a life in because theres so many players. its easy to get an all-star ranking in the cfl. Jesse lumsden. All-canadian all star running back. go cats go :P

well he's been to NFL camps, but if he was that good, he'd still be there instead of the CFL, right? he's slower than basically any back in the NFL right now, he's definitely got power and can break tackles like crazy, but the tackling is weak in the CFL compared to NFL. he could play in the NFL, but he'd never be a star and would most likely be used as a backup.

i think he's much happier where he is now, being a big fish in a small pond. it's hard to say if he could hang in the NFL or not, the defense is ridiculously better in the NFL, i mean light years better than most CFL teams. he's probably happier being a one man team in Hamilton. if it wasn't for him, the Ti-Cats would be 0-18 for the last 2 seasons, he's basically all they got.

well nice pickup on Kenton Keith. i'm still not sure why Indy cut him, or why no one else in the NFL was interested in him. it's a bonus for you guys, but i'd still say you'll have to wait for next year before you guys can turn your team around. you're getting the pieces together, now you need someone who can put all the pieces in the right place, and Hamilton can go from worst to first in no time.

I'd like to see a white boy Canadian rb succeed in the NFL, but looking at the tape shows that he doesn't have NFL balance, explosion, quickness, moves. I'd say the biggest thing is he seems to lose balance easily. He looks like an excellent CFL player though. There are a lot of big backs in the NFL who are much smoother runs, ei, balance, burst, explosion, quickness, etc.
