I have been a great admirer of CP since 1980 when I got myself some drum lessons as a teenager. Now, 31 years later, I can see what a poor imitation of Buddy Rich he actually is. I could never play this well, not in 100 years, but I have to admit I laughed my head off at the utter pretentiousness of this solo - a tambourine? Why? The solo is all bombasity and show and then he goes back into a weedy song - Spinal Tap are not as funny! Respect to CP but OMG LMAO. Bish bash bosh! ....wave, sweat...

I love how incredibly pretentious this band is, it's like Spinal Tap except serious.
And moving any part of your body that quickly should be humanly impossible.

Asia is basically a joke. These guys are all amazing musicians from great bands, but for some reason Asia is just kind of funny.

Well I do love "Heat Of The Moment." That's just a great song, good melody, but other than that I've never been into Asia. I like how people give me thumb's down when they see my comment as an insult instead of humor. Give me a break! Carl Palmer is one of my favorite drummers of all time!

Carl Palmer kicks on the skins. He's blazingly fast - reminds me of a rock version of Buddy Rich. Love it when he takes off his shirt in while playing his double bass drums. Multi tasking at its finest!!

You're completely right when you make the Buddy Rich observations! It's so funny I never picked up on these things until I saw vids of Buddy Rich and then saw how almost every rock drummer in the '60s and '70s took a page from the guy. Palmer is awesome!
