Ninetails was a joke. Its real simple. Dodge her attacks, then electrocute her when she tries to charge her glaive so the 9 spirits of the fox rods split apart into 9 evil Rao's. Kill 8 of them, as the 9th is invulnerable. Then you have to kill Ninetail's true form. Not hard.

If you compare the style of line for Amaterasu vs Ninetails, it's normal to associate the curved lines of Amaterasu with the feminine, whereas Ninetails is more angular and could be associated with the masculine. I like to refer to Ninetails as 'it'- much more suitable for its evil nature.

I was extremely fortunate in finding it, considering I'd say that the store would have been one of the only ones in the country to stock it.

I thinks Ninetails is female because its supposed to be like an anti-Amaterasu with the Ninestrike sword (instead of Sevenstrike) and darker versions of the Brush Techniques and even the mask she wears in the fiste of the battle is white and the red paint on it.

Ninetails IS MALE. The only reason why Issun calls him a "wench" is because he is used to Ninetails being Rao. AND, throughout most of the time when you know who Ninetails is, the game calls him, "HIM". And also one more thing, this probably doesn't mean much, but when you are about to fight Ninetails, his text is in a deep tone.

Gotta love the concept of this battle: A demon that impersonates a brush god in every aspect, he hides in a constelation, tries to troll your brush techs with his own brush AND he has the same background of the brush gods.

Though the fight itself has been perfected on Okamiden, as the enemy this time can pull out a sheet of paper of his own and draws a heck of a lot faster. (its not ninetails though, but something cooler)
