  • Y no vids

  • are you dead?

  • Make a compact minecart station with this.

  • The reason it works is because if repeaters are being powered directly to a block, it will also power the block below it. Since the extended piston part is below it, the piston remains pushed out. When you activate the other button the power is cut and the piston can retract. This won't work with downward facing pistons because the repeater won't power the block above the block being directly powered.

  • I miss you oliver

  • I miss you Olivier

  • This could make some pretty condensed minecart systems

  • This is not a glitch as the repeater is powering the block and that block is powering the piston, it is simular to powering a block with a repeater and then putting redstone wiring on the other side.

  • i like i like XD

  • could be useful but i admit it could be fixed as it is exploiting a glitch

  • yay hes in the whiteroom

  • wut happened to the 900 pixel display?

  • OLIVER Y U NO UPLOAD

  • Believe it or not there's a mod called little blocks that will allow you to shrink that down to fit in only one block this works for all red stone creations (unless there's a piston as doors and pistons don't work when shrunk)

  • Very Nice, I will be using this a lot...

  • Yes it works in 1.1

  • Does it still work in 1.1?

  • This is great, I'm definitely going to be using this (fits in very well). Thanks.

  • So Awesome!! :D

  • Can you make a version where if a lever is on, it will save that value, and if the lever is off, it will save that value?

  • U can make way Smaller

  • So what exactly is the latch used for?

  • Im going to use this

  • great redstone vid its going to help me when i try to make combo locks and stuff

  • Ok im not good at redstone so don't be mad... You could also use à lever right o_o but it looks cool so forget what i said :p I'm working on a song in Minecraft but i forgot how much noteblocks u need 0_0 it's almost Impossible to make it in my house.

  • i like this. its compact and quick to make and easy to remember how to make. good job.

  • I quite like it: I will consider using it in my CPUs but wondering: have you experienced any of the location bugs associated with pistons? not the one that allows your design to work but sometimes, for what i believe to be no reason pistons are activated? You see I used pistons in a system I developed where I can have ordered dual outputs from one input eg first program to A, then B and experienced this bug. Does it occur in this system?

  • I found this myself(Not trying to brag).

  • Isn't this how the 0.5 clock works as well? and they never emoved this bug from 1.0.0.. It still works

  • I subbed :D

  • this wont acily work when mc comes out cuz the buds has been fixed in the snapshots

  • irany is i tried making minecart dispnsers erler than this video and i kept geting this and thout it was a bug

  • Isn't this basically a vertical version of a regular 3x3 rs nor latch thats only one tall? or am i just mistaken on the regular dimensions of it.

  • I used this along time ago. I'll link the video

  • RSNORLAX

  • You are a genius

  • hell yeah

  • you can make them WAY smaller

  • @codmad1000 do it and record it then upload it and send me the link

  • @codmad1000 How ?

  • @oliverissocool1 i can make 3 Square and 1 high

  • @oliverissocool1 The LittleBlocksMod of course!

  • @oliverissocool1 don't use the input blocks, put a button in the back of the torch block and use only 1 block for the red input, also put the butons in the back of the block, not the side because it would be 2 wide if you put it in the side

  • @oliverissocool1 Way smaller justr two stone in a line and a redstone torch on each side then pistons under the torch and a block on one of the pistons then your done

  • @oliverissocool1 @codmad1000 smallest verison of RS NOR latch /watch?v=vtrdmGJK4GQ

  • @oliverissocool1 Mini Blocks Mod ^^

  • @oliverissocool1 still use the old verticle one

  • @oliverissocool1 You should do a video of making a whole bunch of stuff using the wireless redstone mod. I love it and it makes things way more compact. Just for looks since most people don't have that mod.

  • This is super cool, but for those of us who play Vanilla could you do a video that shows what you could use this for in a practical application? Thanks!

  • @ZylvinBane321 Practical applications are hard to find on suvival. I'll try to think of something.

  • @oliverissocool1 haha, true. I mean a looser definition of "practical" though. Something like an elaborate hidden door, a railway station/system, a complex elevator, etc... It's really unbelievably cool, I just don't ever see myself trying to build a RNG or a bowling game in my castle XD Thanks again!

  • @oliverissocool1 You could use it on a door if you wanted to use buttons or something like that maybe?

  • @ZylvinBane321 one way piston door.

  • i can make smaller

  • i will use it,like i use the 3x2 piston door. You have a knack for making and teaching device for minecraft

  • Wow, that's actually pretty good.

  • Its a BUD switch RS NOR Latch!

  • Dominic.Tellone on skype! Keep up the good work!

  • Awesome! I'm so using this!

  • @D13tell Great! that's what i wanna hear.

  • awesome as always keep it up -ncisfive on Skype

  • I will NOT use this because i hate sounds of pistons :D

  • @meincraftbros True! i hate the sound of pistons too they are so loud.

  • I don't get it...

  • why not use memory cell? and it is no bug that the piston stay upp is the block over it gets powerd an the piston will stay upp!

  • I see what you did there, with your wool building area and such.

  • impressive =3

  • ive made a flip flop with pistons, but then i found a quirk where the input was buggy so i only used it as a testing tool.... was a good design and similair to what you did

  • genius

  • I won't use it for two reasons, don't have minecraft, don't have computer.

  • It's 3 by 4 because the redstone on the orange part turns it into a BUD switch. Just because it's an output doesn't mean it's not a piece of the circuit.

  • @megadudeley I only counted the necessary parts that the latch needs to work, i did the same with both.

  • @megadudeley ya but he didnt count that in the other one so doesnt really matter

  • @megadudeley the output can go 5 ways from the block that gets powered once the piston raises. Every direction being to the right, back, front, bottom or from the top of the block, changes the dimensions.

The RS-Nor latch by itself is 3x3 buddy. Even when activated.

  • why isnt the server.redstoner.

    com server up?

  • Naw.. SRY this is'nt what I'd been expect. I'll use the other one

  • Oh yeah, the smallest RS-Nor latch I've made was 2x2x3. It's pretty compact and I don't think it interferes when placed next to each other.

  • I might of used this in my latesrt video. But im not sure it is the same. seems familiar. But grats on finding it your self :)

  • Now make a T Flip-Flop that small.

  • I like it XD is it a coincidence that I made an RS-NOR Latch just yesterday?... Mine however was 6 x 3 x 2...

  • That's cool. It's so much smaller than the other one. Yes, I may use this, I'm just not sure what for yet :|

  • bout time he uploaded something

  • yah a new video!!!

  • Well not the smallest one thought mine is a 3x2x1 and doesn't use any piston

  • I want to use this! It's very cool

  • I don't even know what it is :/

  • I dont no if i gonna use it, but its intreresting. I think i can create something cool whith it.

srry for english am dutch :P

  • One step closer to minecraft inside minecraft! Mineception!

  • I am a redstone newb, I only know the existence of the t flip flop. And I dont know how to use it soo, yea...

  • Oliver It Should be 6x1x3

    Cause in retrospect its

    CxVxB

    C= Length

    V= Width

    B=Height

So You Need to change the title to

'6x1x3 Piston RS-NOR LATCH [memory cell]

  • hey man its not a bug its block update thing and that isnt a glitch its a feature of the game nothch said!

  • @casper5314 who is nothch

  • server? :)

  • it is based on a bug in the game with piston getting power from 2 blocks away. and i am curios if where is a block update next to it if it will stay up

  • Looks good! I think. I have no idea how to do redstone above a flip-flop level.

  • I love how it stacks!

  • lever wouldve worked

  • @oliverissocool1 do you some sort of accent or do wear braces or something?

  • yes, thanks

  • Awesome.

  • in desc u put RS-NOT not RS-NOR

  • @sartaros Fixed!, thanks!

  • Deece

  • If you don't use pistons you can have a 2x3x1 rsnorlatch. although u cant line them up like that its fairly compact for smaller less intricate uses.

  • @SubShadow123 Could show message some screenshots or a video of this?

  • @oliverissocool1 lol yeah ill post as video response

  • @oliverissocool1 Sent u a message with the video in it

  • @oliverissocool1 My channel, my newest vid builds the "3 or more chance" system you needed a while ago, it also shows the RS-NOR @SubShadow123 was talking about

  • very, very useful. thank you so much.

  • Well, i am actually already using this for a project of mine, a reward system, and it works great for me :)

  • Tank's ! It's very useful.

  • 5th

  • hehehe 4th

  • Nice! Subscribed for redstone tutorials/demonstrations!

  • I subscribed for this cool Redstone stuff!

  • no prob

  • Thanks for watching. remember to tell me what you think and subscribe if you fancy.
