Magging a Avet SX casting test 1

I am looking to buy an avet SX to meet a couple different applications. Debating whether i should get the regular or the M.C version. I will mostly be using it to throw 3 oz lures/plugs or livelining for stripers out here in the northeast. Would u say I stick to my spinning reels or would this do the trick?

If you have the reel set up so you don't even have to stop it with your thumb at the end of the cast, you're GREATLY reducing distance.
