  • so basically there emotionally repressed vulcans...

  • relating to my comment below, im only 15 yet im 6ft 1" and 220ilb. i look like im 20 years old. my body is way more mature than my own mind and thats always set me apart from other people

  • @Methbuster167 holy crap! I also have Asperger's syndrome, I'm 18, at around 220lbs at 6'1" and have been that way since I was 15... are you a younger version of myself???

  • @Zreen001 ive been this way since the 7nth grade lol. its my freshman year now. and i ive only gotten larger width wise (fat, im lazy) but still. thats nuts, i thought i was the only one! any chance you live in NH?

  • @Methbuster167 Nah, I'm from Kansas, still am actually. I was diagnosed with AS at the age of 6 or 7, and I sort of grew out of it, but I am still able to 'turn it on' what with the photographic memory and the increased focusing, but without the social awkwardness... also the pills I took pre-teen years made me thinner than most of my classmates, once I was off the pills I started gaining weight, and my work-outs balanced the rest.

  • Hey, ive got Aspergers. im not sure how bad but i know its far more mild than before. my best subjects are history and english. i used to be a real CLOSETALKER and still am loud, but ive grown out of most of the Extremities. i still want concrete explanations. im terrible with girls lol. im also very blunt, to the point of rudeness, ive been told. i have a great memory. i dont adhere to the usual fashions, i dress however the hell i want. (steel toe sketchers, ex.) aspergers is real, people!

  • This is bullshit, you're awkward, so what you can change if you want, some people are naturally social, others just fuck up.

  • @Sovember do you know what your talking about? i have Asperger's syndrome. how about you research it before you make a remark like that. i have aspergers, i suck at all other school subjects besides history and english. those are my best classes. i have an insatiable need to ask Why and i heavily enjoy having concrete explanations. ive grown out of most of the symptoms, but i still have it. i love technology, i CAN make eyesight now, Aspergers is a very real thing. please dont judge it

  • @Methbuster167

Didn't read that wall of text.

  • @Sovember because your arrogant and think you know it all, and your opinion of yourself is so great that you dont think you need to bend for other people. do you have aspergers? no. so how do you know its not real?

  • @Methbuster167

    Sorry did you say something?

  • i have a mild case of Asperger's Syndrome. it still sucks, i get along better with old people than with my own peers. i can recognize emotions, i just have to pay attention (that's my add getting the best of me). i also get made fun of because the way i dress, my behavior and the way i talk. but i don't let those mother humpers put me down. because i know that I'll be successful wile they'll end up bald and working under me.

  • @edmund94232 people would make fun of me, cuz i dont adhere to the usual fashions either, except for the fact that im a 15 yr old in the body of a large adult. i look like im 20

  • I have a friend that has asperger syndrome and he's so sweet, whenever he makes a mistake he says sorry to me sooo many times I have told him not to say sorry, lol but he's a really great friend, we have so much in common, I don't even about him having asperger syndrome.

  • Great video and thanks for sharing. Hope you do not mind I have added it to my website, which is trying hard to raise awareness :)

  • Dave, I have a question for you... I myself was diagnosed with AS in 2007 and I am obsessed with languages. However, I find it very hard to concentrate on anything else than languages (luckily, I study German philology, so it has something to do with my interests). I very often neglect my duties because of that. I would like to ask you for advice what I should do to have time for both my interests and my duties... :(

  • Aspies can make great friends! If they're being annoying--maybe they won't shut up on a topic--just calmly tell them they're getting annoying and tell them why. Be matter of fact. They'll shut up. Aspies are not likely to play stupid games or stab you in the back. If you want a loyal friend, find an Aspie!

  • @ElevateConcepts just wondering why you say god bless everyone out their? me I do have aspergers.

  • I have aspergers and school use to be a living hell for me but now I do things quietly I can keep to myself do aspergers isn't half as a bad as it seems once you fully understand it

  • Comment removed

  • The girl I recently dated has Asperger's. It was difficult to connect with emotionally. It was painful sometimes when she wouldn't take the things I was passionate about seriously. She's a great person, and recently discovered the fact she is an "Aspy". God bless her, you, and everyone out there with the syndrome.

  • to be an aspie.

  • It's not THAT serious or THAT hard.

  • I have Aspergers also. I find socializing and small talk difficult. I hate it. I dont have many friends but cherish the ones I have. I often do not connect with people and feel as if my thinking is on a different spectrum than theirs is. Ppl have told me numerous times I lack common sense and I have also fallen victim to bullying (verbal but not physical). I love transportation, politics, and play the same music repeatedly because it makes me feel 'cozy.' can anyone relate to what i am saying?

  • @A08041988 STOP describing ME !! you just described me, right there ..... are you serious ?? I totally relate , even the cozy feeling when repeating music over and over (I do that everyday in the bus)

  • @klebehss yup. give me a polygraph test :P

  • @klebehss also, I often make a million associations with everything I think about. I love math, numbers, facts, and hate biased opinions/dogmatic assumptions. I may come off as rude and stubbrn, probably because I have a very strong self-serving bias. (I am right, everyone else is wrong and nobody can convince me otherwise) When I am doing something (whether school work or playing a video game) I am easily irritated by distractions and find want everyone around me to "shut the f*ck up"

  • @A08041988 still describing me .... that's wierd, I had no idea people wer like that until this week... ahve you been diagnosed yet ?? I haven't...

  • Comment removed

  • @klebehss yes. people with tangible mental illnesses (bipolar, schizophrenia, etc) are understood more than "aspies". because ppl dont understand me, I have been diagnosed with everything under the sun and have had truckloads of medicine shoved down my throat.

personally, I am a 23 year old male, never had a girlfriend, and just have very peculiar interests I am obsessed with. I was a late speaker, yet have a visual IQ of nearly 150. I HATE writing. I like to think - not speak.

  • @A08041988 I dont wanna get medicin. plus I am anxious about the reaction that my doctor would have if I ask for a psychiatrist.I am also worried about the fact that I can get to a psychiatrist that kinda tells me what he thinks I should know, and not what I have to know . here there are psychiatrists out there that think tellin' an autist that he is normal is gonna solv all his problems . I don't want to se that kind of psychiatrist ...

    any advice ?

  • @klebehss Because there is no medicine doctors know of to help treat aspergers and autism, I suggest you discuss you problems with a psychologist and not a psychiatrist. I have spoken to PSYCHOLOGISTS about aspergers and autism that understood them very well. I have also found myself receiving medication after exhibiting traits that were labeled as mental illnesses, yet I know were attributed to aspergers, partially at minimum. talk to the right people

  • @A08041988 how Am I gonna find the right person to talk to ?? any clues ? tips ? do you know any psychologist around Boston ?

  • @klebehss not around Boston. I'm from New York. I would look into organizations that specifically deal with people on the autistic spectrum.

I would start researching psychologists in your city, maybe even in something as simple as the yellow pages. Once you get some names, do research on the specifics psychologists. PSYCHOLOGIST NOT PSYCHIATRIST. I put this in caps because I feel psychiatrists are very ignorant on aspergers. If you have a mental illness (idk u) c your psychiatrist.

  • @A08041988 also, I'm 18, not far from you. also no girl friend, also, interests that I get obsessed with, they can change with time. also, HATE writing and bad at it anyway. I also prefer to think tht speak.

I cannot read a book non-stop without getting distracted ... I have never finished a book properly... always distracted by dreams and random thoughts about stuff that are not even related to the book...

  • @klebehss well 23 and 18 is a 5 year difference. anyway, I also find what you say about not being able to focus on reading quite interesting. On a standardized test like the SAT, for example, I only scored a 490 verb but a 710 on math. (95th percentile in the country) I am convinced the reason I performed poorly on the verbal section is because I could not focus on those passages. The shorter ones, to a certain extent, but can only read the 1st line and my mind was then in la la land.

  • Thanks so much for sharing this video ~ it is very informative. You are the man interviewed in this documentary, yes?

  • @JenFindling No, he's my stunt double. Na, just kidding. Yes, it's me.

  • sheldon cooper anyone?

  • Can someone please translate what he says from 0:15-0:40?

  • @Sneijder10Wesley I think what he means here is that he was able to talk to other people in a sort of lecture style, without real reciprocal interactions. He was blind to the non-verbal social signals of other people that might have given him the message that they were no longer interested in hearing about his area of interest.

  • Is it really noticeable? I have it apparently (i personally doubt the doctors diagnosis for a bad track record) but whenever i mention it to people they seemed shocked. I have emotions. (i cry in sad animes), i'm reasonably intelligent, highly social, and in a political party currently unelected. I'm a metal head and metal music keeps me preoccupied so i never feel lonely. I don't have sensitivity to sound (listen to music at max volume), light sensitivity isn't an issue either. He must be wrong

  • I have AS. At University currently, turns out I'm not that smart at all. But I still have no social skills at all and crippling loneliness. WIN

  • my brother has aspergers, he's 17 (18 in less than two months). I study Education so I'm really interested in mental disorders and somewhat similar subjects. My brother is clumsy, doesn't look you in the eye while having a conversation, is unsure if someone is being ironic or not, feels uncomfortable in large crowds of people, and is particularly interested in history. And then there's one thing that I don't know if it is usual or not, I'm guessing not....: he's toonophilic (but straight)...

  • @Zinetha duude, you brother is a copy of me. I am also 18 and have the same reactions ...

  • @klebehss 1st of all, I'm a girl, but that's fine :D

I think he would like talking with you if he weren't unsure in using English (we're from Finland). What kind of music do you like? My brother likes rock and metal, he is crazy about bands like Ensiferum, Nightwish, Within Temptation, DragonForce, HammerFall, Sabaton, Helloween, Dreamtale, Iced Earth, Manowar, The Offspring and so on. I love talking about music with him because he doesn't judge others' taste on music.I like everything

  • @Zinetha i need to meet your brother.

Finland = land of heavy metal.

  • @bcasey25raptor yep, though in here pop and rap dominate the top lists :( I like almost all music but rock and metal are closest to my heart <3

but metal sells most records and we actually have our own radio channel for rock, metal and punk only. go to radiorock.fi and click "Kuuntele" ("Listen"), it's almost in the middle on the top bar. there's a couple of commercials first and then music 24/7. :))

  • @Zinetha

I'd like to talk to him, his description looks very similar to mine or oher potential aspies I like any music that sound good to my ears, depending on my mood,I listen to metal, rock, a lot of Classical music, Chiptune/keygen , and more ... but NEVER techno or house or other "conformist art" like pop .. you know what I'm talkin' about ..

  • @klebehss actually I don't, I like techno and house and at the moment I'm crazy for dubstep... but I can understand why some people don't :)

well, my brother is also a YouTuber, goes by the name TheBerserkerWolf, but I don't know how often he uses his account...

  • I only got mild Asperger's Syndrome

  • I have AS (or so I was told as a kid). I don't have any intense special interests and I have no problem reading peoples emotions. (I read people too well at times)

I am however socially awkward around people but it could be something completely different.

  • @TranceBeforeWeDie Perhaps you have social anxiety disorder? Also known as "Social Phobia." Do you have panic attacks in social situations? That is one of the primary distinctions, as far as I can tell.

  • Every grad student I know is just like this.

  • @DeconstructingGlenn Try visiting the student lounge in the social sciences wing... you'll see people who are completely different!

  • i dont feel good

  • Totally relate to this as I have aspergers syndrome, it was hard at first because I was bullied at school, but now I just get on with it, the support I receive at college is way better than I ever had at school. I found it really hard to make friends, still do now, but I have a wonderful boyfriend and without him, I wouldnt have the confidence I have to say to people "you know what, if you dont like me, fair enough, but dont diss me because of my disabilit, I`m normal just like you!" :-)

  • @MissBigBadSheWolfTV You find it hard to make friends? Two years into college and I have yet to make one.

  • i have asperger's and my mom thinks that meltdowns are "something that little kids do" and not something that's part of asperger's. I feel comfortable keeping them to myself, but what do you guys think of what my mom thinks?

  • @diamonddavej so wait how bad is it for you? Like suppose I walk up to you and just say hey, wanna shoot some hoops? Would that be a weird situation for you, or is it a bit less extreme?

  • asperger's patients often have intense interests in particular topics. what if you had asperger's... with an in intense interest in social interaction?

  • @teimu2 Interesting you ask. It's not aspergers, it's paranoid schizophrenia (psychosis). People with paranoid schizophrenia are obsessed with the social world, preoccupied with conspiracies e.g. look up David Icke; contrast his social conspiratorial obsessions with non-social interests in Aspergers. Autism & schizophrenia are opposites.

Crespi, B. & Badcock, C. 2008. Psychosis and Autism as Diametrical Disorders of the Social Brain. Behavioral & Brain Sciences 31(03), 241–261.

  • @Diamonddavej mmm, that's a curious dichotomy: social vs non-social interests. i wouldn't think the brain would be so binary like that. do you know if it's different sections of the brain that are being more utilized by those disorders?

  • @teimu2 They often have intense interest in social matters because they are aware of what they lack, if you see what I mean. Interestingly, they can become very good at teaching others social skills but still rather lacking in confidence in doing it for themselves.

  • @teimu2 I have aspergers and I'm a female....I think that if I had an intense interest in social interaction I would still come to a very wrong conclusion of what social interaction is. Or we would observe from a different perspective and come up with something completely new or out of the box. *Shrugs* My interest is Ancient Egypt so I can't really say how I would react resolutely.

  • I have aspergers syndrome and i find it hard to make friends and its hard to get a girlfriend

  • I have aspergers and i find it hard to make new frie.ds and i can never get a girlfriend i am 10

  • u can be proud of who u are but asperegers is a terrible thing to have, i have gottemn along much better but its still tough

  • Good video. I was diagnosed with aspergers syndrome and dyspraxia 2010, on top of being born deaf, clinical depression and possible ADHD.... currently going through extreme disability discrimination & victimisation by most public authorities in England. Even had South Yorkshire Police harassing my 75 yo Mum and I at my house last week. If any of you know any good solicitors that are autistic aware in many area's of law then please send this to them

  • So people with Asperger's Syndrome have no empathy and feel no emotions? That must be hard...

  • @SonicTheRainboom I feel my own emotions like anyone, but find I hard to pick up on other people's emotions.

  • @Diamonddavej Thank you for the correction. My friend's daughter has Asperger's, so I got curious. Thanks again!

  • @Diamonddavej It's weird. I have Asperger's but I don't have a lot of trouble picking up peoples' feelings. (Probably because I've had 14 years of my life to practice.)

  • @SonicTheRainboom No no... You can think of Asperger's as "uber male syndrome." Guys see girls as being too emotional. Guys don't really "get" emotions--they can't see them and react properly. But guys do have emotions, though they don't really show them. Asperger's is a little like this.

  • i have this and this describes me what i deal with every day.

  • I have long been diagnosed with autism but as recently as two months ago I learned that I have Asperger's Syndrome from a doctor, not necessarily a doctor but someone who studies people on that spectrum. Being different from all the other kids I knew in school, I have an ability at memorizing historical dates and geographical locations and at drawing repetitive objects such as power lines. But unlike the people around me, I preferred being alone all the time although I was happy with that.

  • @AspieMBProject2012 i hate the standards, expectations, girls have of us guys

  • @nobodysperfect06 How is it you don't like the standards and expectations girls have of us? I was expected to be seen as a permanent item the last time I met with a girl...and the affair didn't last when she couldn't handle our differences. My guess is that she wasn't ready to stay forever with me.

  • @nobodysperfect06 H A T EEEEE

  • Hi, I recently came across an independent film named White Frog. It's centered around a boy who has aspergers. Please take a few minutes out of your day to check it out. Type in "White frog movie trailer 2" on youtube.

    Thank you

  • how can a person dislike this video? they dont like aspergers? what did we do wrong to them. sorry that it doesn't match up to you're instant queue!

  • I think I have asperger's too! I always had issues socially, and its always been hard to interact and build a connection with most people. I think I'm gonna try to find a way to get some help. Its like every part of me matured but my social skills.

  • My aspergers is not nearly this severe but I found scantuary in theater groups every one is weird there

  • I found out today that i've got aspergers, first i was very upset and thought my doctor was wrong but now i made some research and i'm proud of having it. Charles darwin had it aswell as, bill gates, isaac newton, Beethoven, Mozart, einstein all the great minds had it. I'm very creative and i make music i guess you could call me a composer. People with aspergers are more likely to be more intelligent and creative so i don't see it as some sort of handicap at all.

  • @darthgabriel97 more like an advantage...

I dont understand how people with aspergers can be envious of normal people.

  • Odd how every comment on documentary videos is a small paragraph long.

  • i have aspergers i can say that it can be controlled. you just need to work on your ticks and use it to your advantage. now i have a great social life and im working on a career in journalism

  • @Skyrex93 Same here. And agreed. You just need to actually want it, and psyche yourself up. No doctor, therapy or miracle drug is going to change "who you are".

Basically you're doing slight "re-programming" of your own brain or switching some wires around. Train yourself again. Soon it's natural.

Before you even notice, your entire method of socializing and understanding your environment changes. I became really relaxed in bigger groups, studying business/customer service(!), etc.

  • @Samoutuomas the main problem is theese therapists almost never tell kids with as that they can control it. if they work on it when they are young it will be easier as an adult. though its not impossible for an adult with as to start trying to keep it under control its probbaly just more difficult

  • @mumenschantz Jocks, Popular, Majority, Network, Society, Masters, Politician, Police, Authority, Controlling, subservience. v's mineralogy, astronomy, computers, buses, trains, the weather, The Titanic, snakes, tractors and mechanic diggers.

    Do you see the dichotomy???

You're into the social world, but I'm into the Asocial physical world. We're opposite ends of a spectrum! I find this fascinating.

  • @mumenschantz Do you notice we are opposites?

You are predominantly interested in the social world of political Machiavellian groups, social control and social hierarchy, BUT I and other people like me are relatively oblivious of the social world ... we are more occupied with Asocial interests such as e.g.

... mineralogy, astronomy, computers, buses, trains, the weather, The Titanic, snakes, tractors and mechanic diggers, to name a few.

  • @mumenschantz Autism and Aspergers are opposites of psychosis, so we are not preoccupied with the social world nor the nefarious machinations of conspiratorial social groups that preoccupies you. Whereas you can lecture on social conspiracies, I could do the same about non-social world of mineralogy.

    I find the dichotomy fascinating.

Crespi, B. & Badcock, C. 2008. Psychosis and Autism as Diametrical Disorders of the Social Brain. Behavioral and Brain Sciences 31(03), 241-261.

  • ive got this syndrome and its really hard to talk to people .... i always feel that they hate me :(

  • @annika2500 Its not that they hate you, they just can't relate to you bc you're very different from them. But everybody is different in their own ways. You just have a talent/ gift that other ppl don't have : )

  • @annika2500 Me too. I feel with you...if I DONT tell people about my issue they think I'm bizarre, if I do tell them they assume i am intellectually dissabled. There are so many people in this world who pride themseles with the assumption that they are better than everyone else! But you find out who your real friends are with having aspergers...if someone walks away from you when you tell them about your problem they are NOT a real friend.

  • I read that AS persons are mesmerized by color, lights and patterns. Is that true?

  • @DwyaneWadeCounty Yes, the visual cortex in Autism and Aspergers is on average more developed (there's more grey matter), as are other areas of the brain e.g. auditory and associative perceptual areas.

Hyde et al., 2010. Neuroanatomical differences in brain areas implicated in perceptual and other core features of autism revealed by cortical thickness analysis and voxel-based morphometry. Human Brain Mapping 31(4), 556-566.

  • @DwyaneWadeCounty I'm not. Although when I'm really tired I may start staring at weird patterns on a carpet in my living room or bathroom, for like 1 minute. Kinda normal, as you're sleepy.

The older I've gotten (I'm 27 now) and more "balanced", the more I've noticed I don't have those weird quirks anymore - which is kind of sad since that's what I always thought made me unique.

Now I'm just a regular joe with slightly abnormal speech-patterns, which only my friends notice :/

  • @mumenschantz So without diagnosis my boyfriend would not be able to support himself. He can not communicate with people and can not hold a job with people at all. I agree Asperger's Sydnrome traits or just a mild version don't need to be diagnosed, but if it interferes with your life it does. It's not just quirks that are labeled, it is a condition that interferes with the way that you live. Jocks and Popular kids don't need help living their everyday life.

  • @mumenschantz o_o

  • @mumenschantz The conditions you describe and the drugs involved appear to involve schizophrenia and anti-psychotic medication.

People with such mental illnesses may not be able to reason and can be a danger to themselves and/or others, only under such circumstances (I know only UK and Irish Law) can a person be "Sectioned". At least 2 medical doctors agree a person need to be forcibly hospitalised for their safety. They are, as far as I know, also given access to a solicitor.

  • @mumenschantz Treatment for Asperger/autism involves social skills classes, social groups, improvement of self-esteem, confidence, self-advocacy, increasing society's understanding and acceptance of us. It does not involve drugs.

Your concerns are misplaced and are not based on fact.

  • @mumenschantz There are no drugs specifically designed for the autism spectrum. Before research increased into autism in the last decade or so, autism was widely accepted to be an incurable condition and drug companies did not research nor develop drugs to treat it. Very few people with autism/AS take or have ever taken drugs.

There are a few people I know with autism and aspergers who have taken medication, but not for autism/AS - but depression, anxiety, psychosis.

  • @mumenschantz If it does not exist, how is it that I can spot new people attending the social group for the first time, who I have never met, waiting at a busy public meeting point before a meeting on Sundays?

What makes them stand out? If it isn't Aspergers?

  • @mumenschantz Why be so upset about a condition that does not apply to you? Unless it does??

  • @mumenschantz Yes you are crazy.

  • @mumenschantz No, you're wrong. They can diagnose Autism (Aspergers is type of autism) using a brain scan. So it does exist.

Ecker, et al., 2010. Describing the Brain in Autism in Five Dimensions—Magnetic Resonance Imaging-Assisted Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder Using a Multiparameter Classification Approach. The Journal of Neuroscience 30(32), 10612 -10623.

"Autism can be diagnosed with brain scan – study"

  • Can't have a normal or interesting conversation with people? Welcome to my world. These people don't strike me as being strange at all. I don't see why they need a "cure." I'd much rather hear about someone's crystal collection, even the chemical composition of them, than hear someone talking about whatever garbage is on TV.

  • its easy to say, I'm proud of who I am and things like that. to have an attitude that says "this is me and if you don't like it, it's because something is wrong with you" but the fact is, I want to belong, I want to be like others, i want to speak with others and understand. I'm proud but I want to not be lonely, I'd like to be able to connect. honestly, it hurts to be this way and i grow tired. The excessive knowledge i have on the subjects i love, is not worth the crippling loneliness. IMO

  • @comakitten1 That's me 100% 42 year-old Aspie here who has never been in a relationship. So what if I sound like an Almanac, I am still lonely at the end of the day. You are spot on Comakitten.

  • @comakitten1 i feel your pain bro, trust me i know. I took a test just a few years ago and found out at age 17 i had hyperlexia and possibly something else but im not sure what. I dont think i have aspergers, but hyperlexia has alot in common with aspergers so i feel your pain. I go on and on about subjects, not good with people at all, have had to grow up without any help in schools because i wasnt diagnosed earlier, my education has suffered because of that so has my life

  • I have aspergers

  • Very strange moments.

  • I have this it sucks.

  • I have been diagnosed with OCD, but I am going to an ASD specialist to be "tested" for Asperger's. I know I am different. I think differently from many people. It will be good to get this done.

  • @catnaa333 Good luck buddy, way to stick up for yourself and confront it!

  • Listen there is still hope just look at me sure i did what he did but i dumped the reclusiveness the science math and here i am today i find it like real easy to communicate and feel emotions i may still say stupid things but as far as im concered there is hope for people with as......

  • I'm in Environmental Studies, and when I'm discussing it with others in the field, in academic situations, I am happy and right at home. The same with some other science/intellectual topics. But in regular social situations where people talk about entertainment TV/sports/mainstream, I feel completely alone.

  • @Mkoberland I know how you feel.

  • @tjcommander you stupid child, you have no idea what Asperger really means. You should not have the right to tell your opinion, really how can you think like that?

  • @tjcommander You are a disgusting individual. You have no heart and no sense of sympathy. If anyone should be put to death it's you.

  • Asperger's syndrome has been proven t be little more than misunderstood intellect

  • where is this last supper redo painting in the background?

  • @tjcommaner Why am I not surprised that you also think "f**** your mom* (and variations of it) qualifies as a decent comeback. Grow up, and get the psychiatric help you need

  • @GradyLorenzo Suck my balls u rat

  • If tjcommander is serious, he really needs psychiatric help.

  • @gamelvr1 I think he is serious. He has more issues than any autistic I've ever heard of.

There's not enough therapy in the world to fix a person like that.

  • @GradyLorenzo Shut up u cunt

  • @tjcommander Oh that was mature. How about you go ask your mother for a hug. You keep that attitude up, and you'll get a broken jaw someday. You'll be pretty ugly yourself by then.

    Obvious troll is obvious.

  • @tjcommander looks aren't related to it all... not to mention the fact that how can they be blamed for what they have?

people like you should be put to death. you're what's wrong with the world.

  • Aspergers is not really a disease that needs to be cured it's like down syndrome we just need helped along

  • I'm working on a Ph. D in biochemistry in order to work on autism/asperger's treatment. I won't go into the details, but it might just be possible to "cure" you all, while allowing you to keep your inner personality/what makes you human. It's amazing stuff...

  • who needs social skills im not sure why but a lot of people including me prefere to be allone and heres something if anyone knows why that is can you reply and ill give you a video of my party trick of being able to spout any thing about the globe without needing on

  • In an ever-changing and unpredictable world, I look to God as my constant, unchanging truth. This documentary is very eye-opening and I kind-of feel like it has deepened my knowledge of the disorder and I'm pleased that you have found people like yourself to associate with if it makes you feel comfortable. :)

  • I have Asperger's as well, and my younger sister too. Although those on the spectrum often exhibit symptoms of other disorders such as OCD, ADHD, or bipolar disorder, the main thing I believe all of us "Aspies" have in common is that social disconnect. Things that come naturally to neurotypes- eye contact, social cues, the instinct to play with kids their own age- simply do not to us. It's the difference between a math prodigy and an average Joe: it can be learned, but will never come naturally.

  • @GiantPetRat One of my wishes at the moment is to talk to an "Aspie". There are very few people whose interests are based on calculations, astronomy etc. The vast majority are linked to social affairs. "Aspies" from what I learned are very interesting people: factual, straight to the point, have their own opinions. I genuinly would love to speak to one, view things from his/her perspective and even a chance to have a conversation with an Aspie is a gift.

  • In modern society most people find it difficult to communicate with others well.

  • My brother has Asperger's Syndrome V.V

  • @Music1uv3r279 so does mine but i love him to death :)

  • Does anybody know the answer to this question? What does Asperger syndrome look like inside the brain? Does an aspie's brain look different than a neurotypical's brain?

  • @Sporefan04 Actually recent tests with a new type of brain scan have shown distinct differences in the brains of those on the autism spectrum. spectrum, vs those not on the spectrum. Though from the last time I read,It was only about 90% or so. So that's not exactly conclusive yet. But that more then likely would be a huge step in the right direction

  • I also recently found out that I have Aspergers syndrome. Finding this out really answered a lot of questions! I now have a blog where I am writing about this topic. Although I just started 2 weeks ago. I mostly have topics on vaccines so far, but am planning on writing a lot of blogs about Aspergers.

  • Good video. I first learned about AS in 2002 and then figured out that I had it.

  • Does everyone with Aspergers find visualising difficult?

  • @karezza6 no

  • Its hard to have aspurgers, I have it and as a kid I was always treated differetnly, I felt isolated and alone. But as time went by I got some help and although I still quirk from its effects I'm just as normal as everyone else.

  • is it true there are different levels of Asperger Syndrome? as in some types of Asperger Syndrome are more severe, extreme, than others? because I'm wondering, and actually scared that i might have a severe case, because it makes me scared that i will probably never have a girlfriend, because i have been single my entire life

  • @nobodysperfect06 People with aspergers can get girlfreinds. I have aspergers.

  • @TheDocoz123 are you sure? no matter what the level of Asperger Syndrome is? it can be overcome? well it hurts guys more than girls because we guys always have to make the first move, ask the girl out, initiate everything, and it makes us naturally socially-clumsy, awkward

  • @nobodysperfect06 You are right I'm saying is that if you have aspergers it does not mean you CAN'T ever get a Girlfreind. It is difficult to make freinds aswell. When I used to be at school, I can remember how THICK people where on how they said Stuff like "HAHA ASBERGERS" Yes it is alot harder for guys because even without aspergers it is slightly awkward going out and with ASD it is alot harder.

  • @TheDocoz123

I completely disagree that it is harder for guys with aspergers than girls. As a girl with a PDD (sometimes diagnosed as aspergers), I have found fewer girls can relate to me (as less girls have PDD's) and it has been very hard for me to form romantic relationships, either because I was too shy or when I did initiate a move, I got rejected. I have guy friends who have aspergers who think it "beneath them" to date a girl with aspergers, which absolutely infuriates me!

  • @Swordsncarrots well everyone know it is tradition, it is the social norm, status quo in our society and culture, life, that the vast majority of girls do not approach guys first

  • @Swordsncarrots because girls almost never, very rarely make the first move and ask guys out, they don't even initiate conversation with guys almost never too

  • @TheDocoz123 thank you, that is inspiring, so any Asperger Syndrome can be overcome, just gotta have the motivation to do so.

  • @nobodysperfect06 Asperger Syndrome stays with you forever, but you learn to cope. And when you learn to accept yourself as well as maintain some necessary mimicry, you'll get a girl that will understand you. I don't have the syndrome myself, but I have some experience.

  • @KreskaNiebieska i hate how we guys always have to initiate everything, we always have to make the first move and initiate, start conversations, keep them alive, etc. it pisses me off, but i have no choice but to adapt to it
