Ok, I'll take back what I said about Violent Storm (even though enemies with weapons that don't drop them is dumb) because the guy combs his hair with a knife and you throw piglets that turn into footballs -- basically the most awesome things ever conceived by all mankind.

Most hilarious, but also the craziest. Name me any other beat-em-up in which it seems like the whole world is against you. I beat this game in Taito Legends 2. These guys are equal-opportunity ass kickers. Screw with any wild animals, and these four guys will whip you whether you're a guy with a whip or a micro-mini skirt wearing hottie. Craziest beat-em-up in history, even for the cause of saving and protecting wild animals!

I prefer Violent Storm myself. That is one hella crazy beat'em-up. Konami's answer to Final Fight. The three games in the series are Crime Fighters, Vendetta, and Violent Storm.

Crime Fighters = 80s pop culture parody including 80s movie icons as bosses

Vendetta = 80s movies icons as playable characters, INCLUDING HULK HOGAN

Violent Storm = wacky parody of post-apocalyptic films and fashions, and has a shoutout to post-apoc anime Akira as well as the final boss. All equally epic.

Violent Storm is not not really like the other two, or as good if I remember correctly. Crime Fighters is nice and kind of unique. Vendetta is awesome, it is what double dragon 3 should have been..

You want to play an insane/awesome beat 'em up check out TECMO KNIGHT/WILD FANG it is like high fantasy medieval horror where you switch between riding a giant, and swinging a mace on the back of a tiger (and occasionally a dragon) everything bleeds and gets its head ripped off..

Trick to it is hitting attack repeatedly when you jump on the enemy. Insanely satisfying with either giant or tiger.

Oh, and I was confusing Crime Fighters with *Brute Force* which is a similar game. But Crime Fighter/Vendetta are definitely related, not so much Violent Storm as I was saying before.

Other games you MUST play on arcade emulation: Outfoxies, Boogie Wings, Avenging Spirit, both dungeons and dragons & the Knights of Valour series (similar to the D&D games)
