it sound out of time because of the because of the time it takes the sound to travel from the PA to the camera mic. Hes listening to headphones, so he has no lag. Camera closer to the drums than the speakers, creates the lag we hear. This is a big mathematical problem at concerts where the speakers in the back are hundreds of yards from the stage. They actually have to delay the sound in the back to make up for the time it takes for stage sound the reach the audience in the back.

being technical doesnt make a drummer good necessarily. chad has a lot of groove and technique. he doesnt need to flare double bass or do crazy fills to show he is good. if you were a good drummer you would pick up on the subtle things he does in his playing. just saying...

He is indeed very technical, for the most he uses single strokes but its for consistense. (Spelled?) And does them hella fast..

There is few clips on youtube showing double strokes..

And btw. take a look at hes feet.. Thats what i call technical!
