@JucheeTV ...sorry, i'm pessimistic because of the frustrating battle against npp here in northern finland(Fennovoima, biggest shareholder German company E.ON),local activists can't stop that npp project alone because our political system is so corporative and corrupted...like that in Japan. Besides economical facts can't stop it either, we have seen that in ongoing Olkiluoto 3 project... we want E.OFF

Thx 4 sharing. Just reading about the facts. It's build by Areva(F)/Siemens(D). The original costs were € 3, now it's 5,4 billion. Six financiers. In addition to the French government, 1.95 billion are financed by the Bayerische Landesbank at an interest rate of just 2.6%. How many renewable facilities could be built for it? It's intended to start in 2013. There is a fourth reactor planned, which should be easier to stop. Write: campact.de. They should include it.

To have children is a human right. Why should all people give up their human rights because some irresponsible idiots tell you nuclear power would supposedly be cheaper (you pay by tax and by cancer) or supposedly be safer

There is no single country on earth, were people voted in a referendum for nuc plants instead of Save Energy ! In Italy 95 % voted against nuc plants, this year. In Japan according a survey at least 75% are against nuc plants. The city council of Strasbourg (France) voted unanimously for the closure of the NPP Fessenheim with flood risks. In Germany, 100thousends of people in the streets have forced them to phase out.

@GemaMedia ...in Finland politicians will never ask the citizens or the local people about nuclear power, instead they want to trust in opinion polls made by whatever commercial consult as far as it's favourable to npps...however, i haven't seen any opinion poll results about npps after Fukushima and it looks like they will start to build two new reactors as if nothing happened in Fukushima. German company E.ON is the biggest shareholder in the other npp and Toshiba will probably deliver it

@r3VOLt23 ..nuclear power is a global operation, they chosed Finland as a cradle of nuclear renaissance because we have only 5 million people and corporative "democracy" like that in Japan..and they started to build Olkiluoto 3, worlds largest npp, EPR prototype..and today it's already 4 years late, 100% over budget and about 3000 construction errors found...in the beginning GreenP. said that there will be problems in construction, operating and waste management of that prototype..GP was right

In Germany they wouldn't have asked citizens also. That's clear, it is a big business for bosses which don't care for citizens life as you can see in Fukushima, Tschernobyl, Sellafield, Elbmarsch/germany, everywhere the same. The less they care, the more they earn. At the end of the citizen pays with loss of property or health. No where they asked the people! But the plants are there. Without a major accident, within a 5 km radius around a nuclear power plant there is a three times higher rate of cancer in children under 5 years. These nuclear madness won't be stopped by their own, not even in a worst case scenario, like Chernobyl, Fukushima. You have to stop it. All social groups such as environmentalists, churches, parents have a natural interest in phasing out genocide power plants.
