  • Stevie's 65th birthday tomorrow. Happy birthday Grandad, wherever you are!! xx

  • Stevie shining like a beacon!

    The man was total quality..

  • Pity, the keyboard player remains unseen but makes this number. Who was it? Great Band, great pianist! **********

  • @MissSweatyknickers

This is a lip synch.....when i saw them live Frampton played the piano

  • Peter Frampton nails the solo!

  • One of the best bluesrock bands from England.

  • Wow. Three lead vocalists. You won't see that anymore.

  • The lyric is not as noted above but rather "She's got it where you find it. If you know what I mean".

  • Is anyone else amused by the hair cuts - or rather , NON cuts??

Although I remember 1968 and we thought long hair really groovy then

  • Aahh...this track is really really god. My hobby is to rediscover all those other great bands from the 60s that didn´t reach "the really high level". It´s a fantastic musical treasure. Listen (Youtube) for example to:

THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah"

Really f....g good with a bloody driving beat.

THE GOLLIWOGS and the tune "Tell me". Check up the singer...Yes, it´s him!!!

  • Someone got their information wrong! The Beatles were way before Humble Pie!! Humble Pie got their inspiration from the Beatles!!!

  • Peter Framton Rockin Out !!

  • I wish Stevie had left his hair like that... :)

  • What a cool rif !!

  • Well, its a bit of Get Back and bit of Revolution - if we need to establish where the Beatles got their inspiration from!!

  • Comment removed

  • revolution was written before this song, nevertheless this is a good as song

  • @DoctorVock No, the other way round, Revolution was before Boogie ...

  • Comment removed

  • get back riff or help

  • The actual title of the song is "Natural Born Bugie". I don't know why it's spelled that way, but it is.

  • Is Jerry Shirley on drums in this?

  • @pjcdrummer yes, that's Jerry on the drums.

  • @customsuzuki Thnaks I though so he's a great drummer

  • funny how marriot seemed to sound better live than on record.

  • There's a Beatles riff in here, that coincides with the drum fill, and I can't for the life of me remember which Beatles song. Anyone help me out?

  • @Grober7 GET BACK!

  • @Grober7 get back?

  • Listen closely, kids. This is how it's done, right here.

  • Sounds like the riff to Revolution mixed with Sweet Little Rock 'n' Roller by Chuck Berry!

  • They are such an underrated band. Great musicians.

  • Peter Frampton is so delicious!!!!

  • I feel like some child that has been deprived of chocolate all my life and now find myself in the damn Hershey factory with all this music. 30 days in the Hole has been one of my fav's for years and NOW discovering all this.

This is a cool ass song. Fits someone I know very well.

  • @medic357 I feel the exact same way buddy but atleast im glad I discovered this awsome band!

  • That turnaround is Revolution.

  • what a dio xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • er, if this is live..wheres the keyboard player?

  • @Veaseify think just the vocals are live, the EP sounds identical to the record. Frampton and Marriott look like they could blow up any minute.

  • Pity Frampton and Marriott weren't together longer

  • WOW!!!!! Rock on Peter Frampton!! He is still my absolute fave muso and great to see in this clip. I didn't appreciate Humble Pie until recently, but have always admired Frampton's longevity and obvious talent, long may it reign! Let's face it todays music is pretty crap. Thank God for like minded folks!

  • The drummer (Shirley?) looks bored.

  • that voice is fucking amazing!! (of course im talkin bout marriott)

  • Damn Humble Pie had a shit load of vocalist then but Frampton cant hang with Marriott. imho.

  • bought this record in 1968 still love still got the 45rpm xxxx

  • GREAT BAND!!!!!!!!RESPECT!!!!!!!!!

  • cHECK OUT THE YOUNG PETER FRAMTON....

  • peter used to look a bit like liam gallagher

  • RIP Steve and Greg

  • 10++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

  • Great post, but it's actually spelled "Bugie." Steve Marriot was one of those greats who is seldom recognized.

  • That's Greg Ridley on bass I think

  • @chrisoz59

    It is!

  • whats up with laughin boy on the drums, great vocals from all the guys.

  • This is an August 1968 hit ? Thought Steve still with the Small Faces as they were on tour around November/December 1968 He quit them near March 1969 Was he playing with both bands Can anyone clarify this ?

  • @MrRunningblues August 69 hit, i still have it and the album that followed. As safe as yesterday is.

  • This is a very young Frampton in this one too.

  • Nice hair

  • Steve Marriot, the best, rip,

  • You can tell that the black crowes, jet and probably countless more bands are influenced by Steve Marriot and that gritty, earthy british rock feel.

  • God bless Marriott, rock and roll from the soul x

  • YES!!! MARRIOTTS THE MAN!

  • @snowfare yes!!!!!!!!!

  • Love this but Frampton or Marriott should've given the drummer (Jerry Shirley) a smile pill...lol

    "Pie in classic form!

  • Frampton!

  • went to there concerts and had a good time with friends

  • "one of my favorite vocalists was Steve Marriott" " I remember going to Sacramento auditorium to watch Humble pie perform and Marriott would throw his voice out into the audience in just the most R&B rock way. I really, really loved his voice. What an amazing singer. it was a tragedy that we lost him, but he was something else. said Journey frontman Steve Perry.

  • This IS 1968. The second album with the white cover w/ the sketch on it came out in Aug 69. I saw them late Aug 69 at the Filllmore East opening for Santana. They were touring in support of that white album. It was the first night the Pie played in the U.S. They blew everyone away . Been a fan ever since.

  • :52..."Do You Feel Like I Do?"......:)

  • :52..."Do You Feel The Way I Do?"......:)

  • este es tipo de banda , supergrupo exelente

  • Rock on Stevie.

  • buena!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow ... the pie 1968 ... excellent

  • @DMcGorry530 1969 Mac

  • Steve Marriott decided to form Humble Pie on December 31, 1968 and the Pie was formed later, This cannot be 1968 is 1969

  • @gliedo I agree this has to be 69 the single for this track and their first album As Safe as yesterday is, came out about the same time. i know because my girlfriend at that time bought me the album about the end of August 69. i still have it, and the girlfriend over 40 years later.

  • listen to Frammy play them blues ........ ; )

  • Song I have not seen in a long time "Home And Away" it was on LP with a lot of other great songs. Like to hear that . Like to find it. Oh yeah, it was

    Shakey Jake.

  • Comment removed

  • J'adore leurs deux premiers albums.Les suivants sont bons, mais plus heavy et moins subtils

  • Great band, great tune, but the drummer always looks as if he were miles away lol

  • This is cool, but Frampton sure did improve his guitar solos over the next two years after this!

  • grandes

  • This is soooooooo good! What a killer groove! Kewl!

  • Greg Ridley, master of bass. Another great export from Cumbria, along with Mike Harrison of VIPs ,Spookey Tooth & more !! I must say, this is the most power-packed video on Youtube at the moment. It just doesn't get better than this.

  • greg ridley r.i.p

  • I never hear Pie on the classic rock station here in Palm Springs

  • @elcomicguy Shame, they don't know what they are missing.

  • Riff from the Beatles Revolution - interestedly

  • Marshall amps on this. Marriott in my opinion, in my top for Rock voices. Frampton can play, he is no light weight on the guitar

  • @SkyJamMusicVideos - more than a touch of Get Back here as well. Listen to the piano.

  • love my slices of Humble Pie!, 54 year ol' life long fan, RIP Steve

  • oh so cool,

Were are you going to hear music like this now a days ?

Humble Pie, Cobo Hall Detroit, 16 years old and couldn't get enough

I'd jump on the chance to play this at a open Jam,just need the right voice

  • All three front men could sing...

  • Sooo tight, it's amazing..

  • One of the most under rated Brit groups in history

  • They had a lot of diversity. You look at the video"For Your Love" and it really shows

  • One of the best rock singers EVER!!!

    RIP Steve

  • From 2.00 The Sainted Steve Marriott has the lead vocals - there was never anything better in the history of rock!

  • @billyconnearly

I agree, Marriott had one of the best voices in rock and roll history

  • buen temaa

  • steve marriott rules.

  • HUGE HP fan. I love the 3 vocalists trading verses.RIP Steve and Greg! Thank you for the great tunes! Saw Peter 2 summers ago..........he's still got it!!

  • The realy sad thing is that this music is dying out. We don't have this caliber of rock and roll now.

  • young Frampton...learning His CHOP'S

  • Still rocks after all these years

  • I think this is from 69, not 68. Steve was still with the Small Faces in 68 and his hair was not this long at that time, so I'm sayin' this must be '69. Still great.

  • Average song til Steve adds his vocal!!

  • DAMN, ! This is Good, Crank it Up and feel the Shuffle Rock !

  • still great after all this time...

  • Humble Pie are the new take that but I think my heads fucked

  • I have been a fan of Humble Pie for 42 years...

  • @LB101st Me too! And I just turned 42 :)

  • @LB101st I'm only seventeen but feel the same way : )

  • the drummer has no expression!

  • @blusismylife

is that a young ronnie lane?

  • @kapetanj i don't think so

  • @kapetanj No. Ronnie Lane wasn't in this group. He was in The Small Faces as a bass player with Steve Marriott (the singer/guitarist in the centre)...

  • With two equally good but contrasting guitarists, three lead vocalists and thumping rhythms, it seems almost bizarre that this talented band never made it big. Were they too far ahead of their time to be appreciated back then?

  • god bless marriott x

  • TOTALLY AWESOME

  • Bass player looks like R. Plant

  • @yourunclehank1 yeah :D

  • @alice1cmd Would've liked to have heard

what pete and steve were working on. shame

    to die like that

  • Peter, Peter *sigh*......most beautiful guitar god who has ever walked the earth

  • The lick that starts @ :46 and is embedded throughout the song sounds like the Beatles Revolution. The whole Band Rocks!!

  • Listen to Bob Segars - Watch her Strut after this...

  • The Drivin Boogie is what it is all about and it will stand the test of time in music as long as you can have that smooth even train rollin sound to the song it can

accomplish any type of beat just keep that motor runnin and drive it on home.

  • dig peter frampton

  • not one... but two classic Gretsch guitars. delicious.

  • Frampton on vocal

  • What happened to these guys that loved Women. Nothing wrong with respect for the opposite gender!!! Woman want Natural Born Men Back!!!

  • @unionof666666 are there any left?

  • that is one pumped up drummer

  • This song got the best when Steve started singing. <3

  • I'm confused.. I know who Humble Pie is but I forgot about the band Small Faces. Is this the same singer from that band?

  • @lifepod2036 Steve Marriott was with the Small Faces before the Pie. Rod Steward replaced Marriott in the Faces.

  • cutt off at the end really sucked,, and the met women thing i think im going to,,,, uuuufffg yup i puked

  • do you know Steve Marriot burn to death in a house fire

  • I love Marriot but You gotta give Frampton his equal due - he was only 18 here and rocks!

  • @goodolarchie oh yeah! ;^)

  • Stevie just owns a stage....

  • This gets me everytime.

    Marriott is over the top.

  • There NATURAL

  • of course, as we all know, there would be no Black Crowes if not for Marriot and Co,.

I mean listen to these fuckers - they are having a great time

  • Greg Ridley must have dug Motown's Jamerson-he really played the bass like a mofo.

  • Listen and learn! Verse 3 Steve Marriott VOICE of the ERA!

  • both the guitars seem to me to be Gretsch duo jets. IMHO

  • ROCK and roll continued by the guy who didn't even realise who or what he was - STEVE MARRIOTT - the best front man/lead vocals ever!!

  • does anyone know what kind of guitars steve and peter are using?

  • @2468oldschooltimes

    Beautiful Gretsch guitars.

Later Steve switched to Epiphone Dwight and Gibson LP Jr and Pete to Gibson Les Paul SG and Gibson LP 1954 Black Beauty.

  • @xJayWalkerx thanks man.

  • I think Frampton is all of 20 years old in this vid. Clearly a veteran already and up n coming superstar in the works as one can clearly see.

  • @rowdymax1 more like 18...i think this is Aug '68

  • Peter Frampton clearly steals this song.

  • Absolutely brilliant.Todays music just shrinks into embarrassment alongside these guys.Steve Marriot was simply magnificent.

  • holy ****, all cylinders cranking in sublime perfection

sweet solo by one peter frampton + jerry shirley's low bark, and steve marriots' horn-section voice.

  • thedrummer doesnt look like he's having fun

but these are some sickk grooves, singing a playing is next level, lets dooo itt!

  • That is also a younger Peter Frampton on lead guitar.

  • Steve Marriott 19 years RIP and his legacy lives on in the great trail of music he made with the Small Faces and Humble Pie - brilliant songster guitarist and vocalist.

  • This is what music is aal about!

  • Brilliant; Marriot and Frampton the King.

  • is that frampton ????

  • @nerdflanders8710 YES That's Peter Frampton!

  • I've got the 7" single of this.

  • thanks for posting this is great

  • oh wow the song takes on a life of its own

when steve sings the third verse.

  • kurwa

  • Great song from Humble Pie/featuring Peter Frampton how cool is that?

  • Introspection..pleeeeze

  • Thanks for posting. made my day!

  • Love, love, love this performance.

  • Not many bands had 3 good vocalists

  • Humble Pie was probably one of the biggest Influences of my young life.........when I was young. Marriot was one of a kind and Humble Pie was the rocket ship that propelled him and them to be a heart and soul band that will never be forgotten. It's sad to think about the many great minds and talents that we've lost over the years but for Steve he lives on thru his greatest talent...

  • I've probably said this before but... when these guys got Steve Marriott to join up they must have thought all their Birthdays AND Christmasses came at once!! Steve was the BEST FRONT MAN/LEAD VOCALIST/RHYTHM GUITARIST/STAR/SONGWRITER that ever lived!!

  • Steve whaled like Tina Turner!

  • everyone is rockin except for the drummer, i think his name was jerry... he looks as if hes either left out because hes not singing, or like hes just plain trippin balls :P

  • Mr."CannabisKing"

Because someone is a bit silent and doing his job on the drums ,does'nt mean he aint having a good time.

For you, it seems...everything must be obvious.

In your view,Carlie Watts must've had problems too.

I might not be as stoned as you,but...what does "plain trippin'balls" Mean???

  • firstly, what seems to be your beef with me? you, sir, are a perfect example of a hypocrite, an arrogant one as well. my comment was just an observation of mine, hence it is merely an opinion. yet you come at me as if i disrespected the drummer, or even you. and in contrast, your comment is pure bullshit and lacks a valid point; why did you even feel the need to say anything? have you even watched the video, he is obviously not having as much fun as his band-mates, thats all i was saying...

  • @TheCannabisKing

I appolgise if I came on too strong.,maybe I felt too strong about the fact that, especialy these days ....everything must be cut & dried. and people have to show ,they're having a party ,or else they might be left out..

Some introspection would'nt hurt society one bit.

    Peace ♫
