  • ya damn time drainer.

i'd rather watch the "how transistors work" video in the suggestions bar here. >

  • and what exactly qualifies this chode as an expert? I'm guessing he's never read a single physics book or anything pertaining to electricity. I doubt he could even spell half the words he used.

  • This guy is the worst expert from expertvillage..........half of the whole video he is just thinking about what to say next!

  • WOW!

  • expert village. population: 0.

  • I learned nothing from this video.

  • what a asshole! mixed up C with E, beside bipolar transistors are current contoled amplifiers!, get back to school, professor.

  • This was like foreplay without sex... I don't like it...

  • Trying to explain a bipolar transistor in terms of "how much voltage goes into the base" smacks right in the face of proper theory, since they are inherently current-controlled devices. Like usual, this video is about as useless as most of of these so-called "Expert Village" presentations. Most annoying is the annotation of "B," "G," and "E" in his drawing. The only one that is correct is "B," while the emitter is marked "C" and the collector "G." What are these people thinking? This sucks.

  • some expert that is a pnp transistor not a npn

  • SEE THIS:

    Turn Radio into Guitar Amp:

    youtube.com/watch?v=YHfoON7ukSc

  • Ummm pretty sure that in the diagram he had the emitter and collector mixed up.

  • DUMB ASS

  • Think to build with out copper and silica for future long life products . With out pollution and nitric acid resistant molecules in pure metals use direct and save this product and life with out pollution and save economy. I am ready to help this nitric acid resistant pure metal molecule level self created for ready to use in products with low melting strongest molecules in this world.

  • keep up with the good work

  • you shit head. How can you be in expertvillage? Fucking noob, go to noobvillage and also shove those three pins up ur ass.

  • this guy is lame

  • Can this guys even read? He said: "This is a NPN transitor" . But notice how He pointed to the letters CBG, in sync with him saying "NPN"... This guy is dumb and dribbles on without finnishing he's sentences. He either talks to us about most obvoius stuff we already know, or stuff that we don't know about because we have not learnt it yet! It's liek he expects us to know what his drooling on about. Well thats why I came here. To learn, not to listen to some stoner noob. this videos perpose = 0

  • That din't explain anything, just the obvious stuff that i already know....

  • Wtf? "This is a big one." A two yr old could make more informative videos than these.

  • they are experts

  • Well yeah I didn't get much out of that either :/....

  • aw for fuck sake

  • I have found many of expert village vids completely useless ... they must sigm a gag order because they never respond to any feedback.

    Jp

  • Use advanced search and type in the exclude words box expert village. O WAIT you tube took out advanced search as far as i know! that sucks!!!

  • ??????????????????????????

  • goddammit! I'm sick of Stupid Village videos showing up in my searches they're spamming every search and have ZERO information!

Please youtube! give us a way to exclude these useless spammers from our searches!

WTF was this video about? a set of hands touching a rusty old metal part ...

    semiconductor somthing

    amplifier..something

ooooh this is a big one... THE END

  • Another POS 'Expert' village video. What a surprise.

  • sucks

  • this is CRAP even my simple video is more accurate than this!

  • you've got the collector and emitter mislabeled ...looks like another village is missing an idiot

  • This video was actually, a complete waste of time! His information presentation is incorrect and inadequate.

    Report this video! >:)

  • looks like they got a guy from the street and told him to read the scipt

  • (chaseantarctica) u r absolutely rit...

WTF iz this vid....its just waste the time....

  • lol really you couldn't spend more than 1:30 to explain this shit to us? and the first 20 secs is spent with intro bullshit. wtf why would you even take the time to make these vids if you're going to do such a shit job.

  • haha where do they get these so called experts from? The Emitter and Collector are labelled wrong in the schematic.

  • LOL

this "expert" is dumber than me.

does that make me a professor ?

  • wow, thats sooooooooo wrong, ive only been to 2 lectures and know more than him....why would current flow INTO an emitter and OUT of a collector?????? DISREGARD EVERYTHING HE SAID!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL especially as he's got the emiter and collector labled wrong rofl. Expert Village? LOL...Nub village more like it

  • @leow1122331 no expert vilage not nub vilage m y friedn loosk lie you neeed to learn hwo to read

  • Is there any way to petition youtube to 'un-feature' this video? This 'expert' doesn't know shit, the emitter and collector are labelled backwards and this video explains nothing.

  • How are you able to input a signal with only one input end...? That's the thing I don't understand. When I learn how to do this, ONE DAY, I will show EXACTLY how to use it to amplify the damn signal, not no freaking 1.5 Min video on it. I thought Expert village is better than this, In this case I guess not..

I rate 2 starts Nothing Special. In fact AllAmericanFiveRadio has a better video than this, it's called One Transistor Amplifier Demo, he's going to make another video on it.

  • that vid really helped i have been reading into transistors for a wile but that one really understand. Good Vid

  • mumble mumble chomp chomp glorpf... humble mubmell... oops! end of video!

Thanks you "expert" village. More like STUPID VILLAGE!

  • wow that was so not helpful

  • Hes a cruel bastard-- little 8 second video-ettes-!! lol Id hate for this guy to be my college teacher, Id end up opening a vein before my second class-!!

  • Hey this guy just keeps leavin me hangin-!! About the time I start thinking im gonna see how something works, he pulls the carrot away-!!

  • this is simple BJT transistor....

its amplification is depend on the value of its gain(BETA).....

and u not explain how it amplify...which is important...

  • my god how considers these people "experts"!?!?!?!??!?!?!?

  • LOL...., the Collector and the Emitter are inverted in the schematic for a NPN transistor.... Why is he doing videos and confusing people even more...

  • LMFAO, you are so right dude. Hahaha that was a big mistake lmao. I hope he doesn't play with mains voltage lol. Nice catch. I wouldn't have noticed it sitting here drinking my morning coffee half asleep lol. Cheers, IC.

  • good work .....but we need much more information than what you did anyway keep going >>>

  • What is this guy saying?

  • knowing that I always click right out of expert village videos!!! why did I decide to watch this one. God!!! Another trash waste of time video by the expert village as always. I agree with the previous comment, it says DO NOT let this guy reproduce! lol....

  • LOL especially as he's got the emiter and collector labled wrong lmao. Expert village? LOL...Nub village more like it

  • they should give demonstrations on how to build those instead of just simple schematics.

  • haha He labeled the emiiter and collector wrong, the arrow is suppose to be the emmiter. Makes you wonder what he was doing in electronics 101??

  • These videos are spam. They make youtube almost useless for finding some information.

  • @NermalsChannel fuck u nigga

  • @NermalsChannel Haha, agree... totally spam.

    *Searches for how-to-video*

"Let's see... expertvillage, expertvillage, expertvillage, expertvillage.. oh, finally something useful"

  • Now I understand electronics and it only took a

    minute and a half.

  • yo pense que iba a decir mas...en fin, para los q no sabian q ess un transistor....pero q!!!...

  • get alife

  • that was certainly crap he didnt explain any of the physics behind the internal workings of the device who gives a fuck about how big or small they come just tell us how they amplify/rectify

  • I think he's been stuck in the lab too long. When's the last time he got out...or gasp!...got layed?!!

  • That may as well have been made in the dark speaking chinese as it was so un-informative!!!

  • Do NOT let this guy reproduce.

  • Comment removed

  • WTF??? hw doesnt explain a shit!!!!

  • How the hell do you mix up the collector & emitter, also video explains nothing at all about transisitors... also where the hell is the JFET and MOSFET, pointless video.

  • LOL.... Correction u've mixed up collector and emitter...

The one with the arrow is the emitter...

  • Whatever, still dont get it.

  • fuck your stupid globe

  • WTF??? That isn't right. Only thing I can say here, DIS-INFORMATION. There are alot of good people turning to you for help, and you go and post some false crap like this, and dare call yourselves EXPERTS?

Hey everyone, there are alot of other real experts on here that will explain these type of things to you, and NOT Bulls**t you. Search Lidmotor, or Piratelabs, or Invertabrate, or a hundred others on here for REAL help. There's alot of good people on here that ARE experts in electronics.

  • what a wrong info, dam shit on u!!! nxt time, don teach stupid thing again... u'll fail somebody...

  • for kids only guys! not for electronics students

  • Hi,

Do you know where i found better videos ? Plz paste link

  • search search search

learn to search or else you'll grow like a pig...

    eat, drink, sleep. no work

    take my advice

  • Found myself yelling at the video: "wrong. Wrong. WRONG."

OK, in a nutshell, every transistor has a characteristic called "beta" (typically 20-100). Control current flows into the base and out the emitter (which this guy mislabeled "C"). This allows current to flow from the collector to the emitter. The amount of current flowing from C to E is the control current times beta (or less if the source won't provide it.)

    Wikipedia has more information.

  • yeah, that guy screwed up the thing. And it's not the voltage that is amplified, but the current. Oh, and btw, an NPN transistor the "arrow" is pointing to the "E" (emitter) ....

sorry if it's hard to understand, i'm french =)

    cheers to all

  • @Andrei5656 you may be french but your easier to understadn than this guy in the video!

  • Wth don't they check the videos before posting? No qualtiy control against idiots I guess... "for their 1's and 0's" thumbs up mate :)

  • nice art!!!

  • What the? Where's the rest of the video?

  • thats from a floppy drive motor!

  • That was a piss poor explanation...Expert Village blows ass at what they do.

  • Expert Village? ...Then this is the village idiot!

Do you think he wears his shoes on the wrong feat?

  • hhahahahahahah i agree with u ..he was just to shut up.

  • That was windy but i think that the guy said nothing wrong.

  • wow this guy is a moron..."they are used for there ones and zeros" lol

  • wow... talk about your youtube poop. and i almost thought this was going to be a professional video with that intro an all. just goes to show. just because you have a sponsor and are corporate whore. doesn't necessarily mean your dishing out 1 hit wonders

  • hes got the arrow right but he has emitter and collector backwards. Bo back to school idiot.

  • Thats because its an NPN transistor

  • What kind of expert is this when he has the Emitor and Collector switched on the tranzistor schematic. Wake up please.

  • Haha i know, emitter always has the arrow, easy to remember. Was this a test?

  • de perkin esta wea, keay mas colgao qe antes

  • I would also like to add that you are not teaching the right thing. At about 55sec you say that the more voltage comes in the more Voltage comes out. That is PARTIALLY correct. Transistors are current devices. They amplify current. Small base current results in Collector current = Beta * Ib. So a voltage signal on its own without resistance to create current flow will not get the transistor to do anything. I suggest you make a 5 minutes video and cover the basics.

  • would you be able to direct me to a website or somewhere that explains very well from scratch how a transistor works? i understand that it requires n and p type semiconductors but even after reading heaps of articles i have no idea exactly what happens? like do the p and n semiconductors cancel each other out? how exactly does the transistor amplify currents? does that mean the V is decreased? i have so many questions (i do High School physics lol and dont have a clue :D )

  • I want to know have you ever found that website considerthis215

  • no unfortunately luckily the yr 12 syllabus (for NSW, Australia) doesnt require that much depth and its a university level physics that explains what happens... although i find thats worse cause i cant just 'accept' that it works

  • You have not covered anything in these 60 seconds.

You did not state that a transistor is a current device. It amplifies current. You did not mention biasing which is necessary for amplifying an AC signal as you had on your drawing. Neither did you describe a transistor switch with what you said in those 60 seconds. Transistors have alot of setups in terms of Biasing, Q-point, Resistor values, Feedback, Beta, Voltage Gain...etc 60 seconds of video is nothing.

  • Thanks, tells me exactly what I want to know in a short time.

  • I didn't learn anything...

  • guys don't forget this is a FREE video tutorial!

thats why it is limited with information!

  • More garbage from IGNORANT VILLAGE!

  • jajajajajaja

  • As usual, a mediocre ration of crap from a bunch of people who apparently have nothing better to do but mislead viewers with vague, inaccurate, incomplete tutorials.

  • Truly a painful video tutorial. A Big painful video. Please wipe the term 'amplification factor' form your organic RAM employ the term 'GAIN'. My dog knows more transistor theory than this asshat :)

  • quite possibly the most useless thing on youtube.

  • it's a very stupid video, the emitor and the colector are reversed in his schematic. this guy doesn't know anything about transistors.

You can use a transistor in many ways even when it comes to amplifiers, it can be a curent amp or a voltage amp but can't do both at the same time.

An audio amplifier has many stages, a few small curent stages for voltage amplification and a final stage for curent amplification, this guy was showing you a final stage transistor that doesn't amplify voltage.

  • please give a detail explanation as to how transistor works , its characteristics , its configurations ie CB,CE and also the switching characteristics which are of vital importance in the field of electronics.

    This video is poor.

  • agreed. please, detailed video.

  • excellent way to understad the basics of a transistor thank you!

  • wow.. i got nothing out of that.. you didn't explain anything really. Reminds me of a highschool teacher.

  • poor

  • Wow that was pretty terrible...

  • emitter and collector signs are incorrect (reversed)

  • Yes

  • Transistor is electrical current regulator driven by electrical means. The significance of this invention is far, far above others! It has made possible the world as we know it now, especially computers.

Bipolar is CURRENT driven, because base potential does not change a lot and is called hiie.

FET is VOLTAGE driven and has little if any current on gate.

Btw, your drawing has letters E C not at corresponding terminals!

  • aye, the only thing you'll learn 'how to' do is how to fail electrical engineering 101

  • so are transistors(bipolar)voltage controlled devices? perhaps i am wrong,i thought they were a current controlled device and a current controlling device, notwithstanding comments contrarywise...hmm

  • you cant explain transistors in 2mins

  • careful....transistors (bipolar ones )are CURRENT controlled devices are they not?FETs are voltage controlled,it seems.cheers

nice vid thanks for your work..

  • what kind of transistor is that one? i use 2N3904, 2N3906, and 2N555.

  • All transistors are voltage controlled, including the bipolar. The base current is an unwanted side effect of minority carriers recombining in the base.
