@robbyburns11 battery life depends on the user and apps. no apps and just few calls and text easily all day. other factors are heat. leave a phone in the sunny hot car or near a heater in the car and you can see the battery go down quicker. there is a 3600 battery that I easily get 2 days and they are think around 15

NEWS: I was able to call into Virgin Mobile and get a confirmation that there is WORD that Motorola is working on a update for the Motorola Triumph. They said there is no set date of finishing, release, or OS version. Lets hope Motorola follows through. If you do call into VM and ask for yourself you need to specify you are not looking for a current update downloading to the phone but a possible future update... and not the time frame. Be polite and they will take the time to find out.
@mstechify yea, after doing some research I found out that the mt can compete with alot of high end phone once you get a good running custom rom on it. Its just a matter of knowing how to do it.
@kaitlyn12361 they dropping the price because boost released a new phone that competes LG Marquee. and about 2 weeks before new release they drop the price and then raise on release all other prices will stay frozen while they introduce new product. 229 is a great price. Triumph is not for anybody that requires GPS. all phones have a downfall. No phone perfect find the one that is perfect for you.

I hold to it is great value and you can get 2.3.7 android with custom roms that people have done some fine work at putting out. for extra 10 on ebay you can get extended battery and have a phone that will work hard all day. or 2 days med heavy usage.

Best buy and Radioshack walmart are not carrying Triumph in stock at stores. This might be because they are getting ready to bring in a new phone. and or fingers crossed they are working on fixing and an update might be coming.

@CornellMedia so many variances and other apps data in background and signal strength is a big factor. there are extended batteries if all day constant 3g use you concern. pick the phone that best fits your need with apps. Cheap phone Optimus V with extended battery 3600mAh (have video posted) went 2 days. Have not tried the latest 1830 for triumph. But can pick up extra 1600 battery and wall charger, as in charge extra battery and phone at the same time.
@vladdoster1 wildfire s out of box with few apps ok but internal memory low so you are limited how much you can do (74mb after updates). intercept is only just a step up from the rumor touch. it's got a keyboard but slow as it is half the ram and no dedicated GPU.

The triumphs battery DOES suck, EVEN without 3g on at all. When I had both at the same time, The triumph had NO bars, and at the same location, the slider had 5 bars. so the Slider Beats the Triumph, Hands Down, Trust me, get the slider, you wont be dissapointed.

I need to decide on LG Optimus V or LG Optimus Slider. I am leaning toward the slider side. I have enough for the regular Optimus V right now but still saving for the slider.
@wizard7132 right now LG Optimus Slider is 149.99 at radio shack, great price for bit more then OpV. Tough if you plan on watching net flix regularly on the phone go with optimus V they blocked the work around of installing older version 1.2.2 apk so netflix won't work on slider till they fix it. I picked up the htc wildfire S when it was on sale on black friday for $99. Its a great phone, but the internal storage blows. words with friends, solitaire, and a chess game filled the app space :( 150m doesn't cut it with all the bloat that comes with it.
It will suit for now. But it's still not comparable to top of the line phones for like verizon. Glad i only paid 99 for it. It's worth it to me at that price to ditch the intercept. but even the intercept held more apps :X
the intercept is obviously the worst at screen resolution and brightness i believe it goes in the order from their release date but i dont get y they didnt give thr triumph the upgrade to 2.3 right out the box its apparently a huge fone and deserves more!
@migLio101 the fix I posted for netflix on Slider in other videos (i posted update note over videos). netflix blocks all older versions of netflix. so till netflix gets it running better with 2.3.4 it is out of sync and choppy. not the phone, Optimus V plays netflix but not Slider or wildfire S.

I am typing this comment with an LG Optimus Slider, I got it 3 days ago, yes, up untill yesterday it was a bit buggy, but I am now running launcher pro, a bunch of widgets, and I have plenty of apps installed. NO PROBLEM AT ALL!! Love this phone :-)
I've read reviews of people saying that the LG Optimus Slider freezes up a lot. I suppose if people are running too many things, it is expected that the phone wouldn't function at its best. But I can't be sure that's the case. Do you know if this happens a lot with this phone? Or do you think it is just one defective Optimus Slider phone? I wouldn't want to waste the money if its known to freeze.
I curretly have the lg optimus v. upon unboxing, the usb cable & adapter did NOT charge my phone.. *little fun fact, stayed on 1% for over 2 hours* so I finally decide to turn on the phone while charging, and it malfuntioned as if it were about to explode!!! seriously.. I feared for my eyes. the problem is fixed now, but I don't want to experience that with a new phone again. any known defects with the triumph?
@21Diddybop21 oh dear sounds like a faulty battery they have a microchip in the battery. there is always a chance with anything. other then slow GPS lock and software buggs that people claim are gone when they install custom rom. as long as you get triumph software version ending in 039 the blue ting won't be there.
Thanks for all this work. Your videos help more than anything else I have seen, Had my heart set on the Triumph, but with the pages and pages of issues on the Motorola support site (34 as of Nov 4, as you surely know) I won't risk it yet. What is your opinion of the Tickerguy CM7 build? Should I wait for Motorola's fix or just get a Optimus Slider while I'm still young? If you can't answer individual questions like this I understand. @fluidgeometry Tickerguy will not be developing for triumph anymore but. the HDMI out doesn't work. Moto should release the driver if they are not gonna update. there is also Miui Rom for triumph. it is hard to predict what moto is doing cause no other company uses this phone. but is great on custom roms

@CODDaTerminator if referring to rumor 2. was great keyboard but major flaw found. sometimes using note pad permanently bricked the phone. I did video rumor2 and touch. you might think twice about a smart phone. the great thing about them is. with plain phone that all you get. smart phone personaliztion and wifi for those no service area. if worried about durability. VM is great for warranty replacement through them. they send you phone first, very easy. cont..
@mstechify cont.. there might be a simpler smartphone coming out to VM called a JukeB that may be more your style. looks like the blackberry but it is an android and looks like it may not be a touchscreen. geared towards music and texters. you won't see new release till around feb no idea which phone next. with smartphones buggy apps can be replaced. those others that all you get.

@RobertSantana75573 what do you mean specs. it is a 1230 mAh battery. the smallest battery of all the phones here. when you read specs on other pages, the talk time is listed that is not actual phone usage as in apps and camera and conditions in which the phone is actually used. would you just talk and nothing else on this phone? kinda of a waste of money. might as well just get a 20 dollar phone. read t-mobile reviews battery was the lowest rated thing. lots of complaints.

@riotgear78 no I said this intercept is with 2.2.2 update. and the Intercept is rooted and hotspotable with its 2.2.2 (I have video for intercept root). and the 2.2.1 vs 2.2.2 is referring to the Optimus V. 2.2.1 out of box and 2.2.2 must be rooted to hotspot. there is NO WAY to get an update of Optimus v. it is how it comes. something VM did when they realized they did oopsy in blocking it in 2.2.1.

@vladdoster1 wildfire s out of box with few apps ok but internal memory low so you are limited how much you can do (74mb after updates). intercept is only just a step up from the rumor touch. it's got a keyboard but slow as it is half the ram and no dedicated GPU.

The triumphs battery DOES suck, EVEN without 3g on at all. When I had both at the same time, The triumph had NO bars, and at the same location, the slider had 5 bars. so the Slider Beats the Triumph, Hands Down, Trust me, get the slider, you wont be dissapointed.

@theawesomegirls99 Between just wildfireS and Triumph... for texting on screen the Triumph is better. add slideIT keyboard from market, my fav, more options and voice to text better then stock. Camera hmm for auto point and shoot WildfireS is slightly better. I don't care for tinny audio on the video recording of WS but the rest is good. Triumph camera I like touch&hold for pic on touch focus and exposure (so MT is my personal pref for camera) Both MT and WS I had no issues with calls. CONT

So think about it WildfireS good just how it is. but read comments on it's single review I posted were people can't text or get on web cause memory is full. @wizard7132 right now LG Optimus Slider is 149.99 at radio shack, great price for bit more then OpV. Tough if you plan on watching net flix regularly on the phone go with optimus V they blocked the work around of installing older version 1.2.2 apk so netflix won't work on slider till they fix it. Even after update 1.6 netflix. Also if you plan on custom rom. I picked up the htc wildfire S when it was on sale on black friday for $99. Its a great phone, but the internal storage blows. words with friends, solitaire, and a chess game filled the app space :( 150m doesn't cut it with all the bloat that comes with it.
It will suit for now. But it's still not comparable to top of the line phones for like verizon. Glad i only paid 99 for it. It's worth it to me at that price to ditch the intercept. but even the intercept held more apps :X

@migLio101 the fix I posted for netflix on Slider in other videos (i posted update note over videos). netflix blocks all older versions of netflix. so till netflix gets it running better with 2.3.4 it is out of sync and choppy. not the phone, Optimus V plays netflix but not Slider or wildfire S.

I am typing this comment with an LG Optimus Slider, I got it 3 days ago, yes, up untill yesterday it was a bit buggy, but I am now running launcher pro, a bunch of widgets, and I have plenty of apps installed. NO PROBLEM AT ALL!! Love this phone :-)

I've read reviews of people saying that the LG Optimus Slider freezes up a lot. I suppose if people are running too many things, it is expected that the phone wouldn't function at its best. But I can't be sure that's the case. Do you know if this happens a lot with this phone? Or do you think it is just one defective Optimus Slider phone? I wouldn't want to waste the money if its known to freeze.

I curretly have the lg optimus v. upon unboxing, the usb cable & adapter did NOT charge my phone.. *little fun fact, stayed on 1% for over 2 hours* so I finally decide to turn on the phone while charging, and it malfuntioned as if it were about to explode!!! seriously.. I feared for my eyes. the problem is fixed now, but I don't want to experience that with a new phone again. any known defects with the triumph?

@21Diddybop21 oh dear sounds like a faulty battery they have a microchip in the battery. there is always a chance with anything. other then slow GPS lock and software buggs that people claim are gone when they install custom rom. as long as you get triumph software version ending in 039 the blue ting won't be there.

Thanks for all this work. Your videos help more than anything else I have seen, Had my heart set on the Triumph, but with the pages and pages of issues on the Motorola support site (34 as of Nov 4, as you surely know) I won't risk it yet. What is your opinion of the Tickerguy CM7 build? Should I wait for Motorola's fix or just get a Optimus Slider while I'm still young? If you can't answer individual questions like this I understand. Thanks for everything else.

@fluidgeometry Tickerguy will not be developing for triumph anymore but. the HDMI out doesn't work. Moto should release the driver if they are not gonna update. there is also Miui Rom for triumph. it is hard to predict what moto is doing cause no other company uses this phone. but is great on custom roms

I did video rumor2 and touch. you might think twice about a smart phone. the great thing about them is. with plain phone that all you get. smart phone personaliztion and wifi for those no service area. if worried about durability. @mstechify cont.. there might be a simpler smartphone coming out to VM called a JukeB that may be more your style. looks like the blackberry but it is an android and looks like it may not be a touchscreen. geared towards music and texters. you won't see new release till around feb no idea which phone next. with smartphones buggy apps can be replaced. those others that all you get.

@RobertSantana75573 what do you mean specs. it is a 1230 mAh battery. the smallest battery of all the phones here. when you read specs on other pages, the talk time is listed that is not actual phone usage as in apps and camera and conditions in which the phone is actually used. would you just talk and nothing else on this phone? kinda of a waste of money. might as well just get a 20 dollar phone. read t-mobile reviews battery was the lowest rated thing. lots of complaints.

Wow. updating to 2.2 from 2.1 cancels out wifi tether? I did not know that thanks for the heads up. I know that your reviews are of the phones as they are right out of the box but lg optimus v can always be tricked out after rooting.

@riotgear78 no I said this intercept is with 2.2.2 update. and the Intercept is rooted and hotspotable with its 2.2.2 (I have video for intercept root). and the 2.2.1 vs 2.2.2 is referring to the Optimus V. 2.2.1 out of box and 2.2.2 must be rooted to hotspot. there is NO WAY to get an update of Optimus v. it is how it comes. something VM did when they realized they did oopsy in blocking it in 2.2.1.

Slider - Balance choice for audio and video, decent camera, different keyboard options (touch and physical), text a lot, battery life
Triumph - Tired of lower end pre-paid and want just a little more, like option of having lots of games, apps, movies, you need little bigger screen.
