@artisttutorials you get Hydrogen Peroxide solution in water from a supermarket... they sell it as hair bleach, and I buy it all the time. It's only 3% usually but you can easily freeze distill it.

glowstick's consist of a plastic outer layer a inner layer of a liquid cemical then a thin layer of the color cemical that is in a very very thin class and when you bend it it breaks the glass the cemicals mix and voila (my english is not the best)

om excuse me yea hi soo like what you do is take a GLOW STICK and cut one end off BE careful the glass tube inside is very fragile and can break but cut one end off so u can get the liquid out of the glow stick and pull the glass tube out and separate the liquids and then poor them together wallla instant liquid glow

Diethyl Phtalate

Bis(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)oxal­ate

Sodium Acetate

Hydrogen peroxide

For that red-orange color, Rodhamine B is needed.

It isn't luciferin and luciferase. Those are bioluminescent chemicals--in fireflies, etc.

The two chemicals found in glowsticks are a phenyl oxalate ester like Cyalume and hydrogen peroxide. The liquid in the beaker is the peroxide, and s/he's pouring the Cyalume in. A dye is also in the Cyalume.

What you do is you get a glow in the dark stick you cut it at one end  then pour the liquid into a glass there should be another smaller stick inside with a difrent liquid take that then pour it into another glass then mix them and vuala chemical reaction ^.^
